Having never purchased from Oak + Fort before, I decided it was best I visit a store location so I could get a feel for quality & sizing. It turned out to be one of the more pleasurable shopping experiences I've had in recent memory. The store has an extensive selection & I found many pieces that were sold out online. The prices average slightly higher than that of Zara or ASOS, so value is still TBD. The true highlight of my experience, however, is the salesperson who assisted me. Peter was not only highly professional, very sweet, & extremely patient - I requested different sizes & colors for each item I tried on which meant multiple trips to the stockroom - but he also gave me styling tips & honest opinions when I asked. Oak + Fort, give this man a raise because he just earned you a very loyal customer & judging from recent reviews, I'm not the only one! We came in on a Saturday while doing some birthday shopping for a wardrobe refresh. We were greeted and helped by Sammy (apologies if I misspelled her name!). She was amazingly attentive and even pulled styles that complemented the items I selected. Her suggestions were spot-on! She kindly held a few items for me to try the next day--and while we couldn't make it back in time, the service was unforgettable. I spent $500 at this store online for Christmas gifts for my adult daughter. I ordered them on Dec. 14th and paid expedited shipping. The order did not arrive. i checked this morning, Dec. 26th, to find out that the order has not even SHIPPED! I plan on cancelling the order and going to Anthropologie instead.Oak and Fort's online chat was not available. There was no tel no to call. The only thing I could do was to send an email to which I received an immediate response telling me that Oak and Fort would try to get back to me in five days! Don't waste your time! Their selling practices are deceptive. We made several purchases from this store on Black Friday, but their staff never informed us of their return, refund, or exchange policies. The very next day, we discovered the store was offering an additional 20% off, we went back to the store with our items (still with tags on) to request a price match. They told us, first, that they don't offer price matching or refund, and second, that we could only exchange some items for the same or higher value, but not until after next Tuesday. They also couldn't guarantee that the 20% off would still be available by then. To make matters worse, some of our items couldn't even be exchanged because they were already discounted by 20% or more off the original price. When we asked to see the policy, they pointed to a small note at the bottom of the receipt. This is a clear SCAM! There is no way to know the store's policy until after you have already paid, trapping you into their unfair terms. We strongly advise against shopping at this store. read more

The service was out of this world it was my first time here and the sales associate was so nice and so sweet to me even though the only size they had for me was on the display she took it down i ended up buying it haha. The clothes here r rlly nice and thick which i like when it comes to tops the quality feels very nice and is a super good bang for your buck. Everything is fairly cheaply priced but nicely made im definitely going to be coming back! i wish i got her name sadly i didnt but whoever the sales associate is needs a raise lol read more

Peter is amazing! His client service was above and beyond, helped me get multiple sizes of different items and was very attentive in checking in on me to see if there was anything else I needed. This is a Canadian clothing chain located at Santa Anita Mall, formerly Westfield. Their pther location is Santa Monica. It was my first time shopping here, and I was looking for business wear. What i picked out, short sleeved shirt (sales price $49) and suit dress (sales price $75) were a good thickness. Reminds me a cross between zara and aritzia; less loud style than zara and fabric thicker compared to aritzia. I would go again. read more

I was so impressed with this store. I love the clothes. My nightmare began on July 18th. I made a gift purchase of $234.62. I bought two exact tops and a pair of pants for my daughter. I purchased two identical tops because I was not sure about the sizing. So, I kept one and went to the store on August 10th to return the other top. I had my receipt and my form of payment, and the system would not acknowledge my credit card. The sales associate offered me a store credit, which I declined because I wanted my refund. I asked if they could call the customer service department, and they said it was not an option. They advised me that they could only send an email regarding my return. It is now Saturday, August 12th, and still no refund. I called the store and was advised I had to wait until Monday to receive an answer. The manager of the store has not made any attempt to contact me or try to resolve the issue. Before you make a purchase, please ensure you plan to keep it. I would hate for you to go through what I am experiencing. Poor customer service! read more
