She had been asking for it for her birthday since the day she saw it. We walked in and didn't see it anywhere. My daughter was crushed. Barbara could tell that my daughter had her heart set on this particular animal and immediately went on a mission. She left the store a couple of times and came back with THE animal. It was already stuffed and dressed and on a pedestal (I'm guessing it was one of the display animals when they had them in stock). She quickly rushed to the back room without my daughter noticing and undressed and unstuffed it. She came back out moments later to show my daughter that she had found one. My daughter's face lit up and her birthday wish came true. Thank you so so much, Barbara. Your act of kindness and compassion was more appreciated than you will ever know!!!

All size sections were clearly labeled with large signage and each section had tons stocked (especially for infant sizing). You could honestly spend over an hour here checking out all of the inventory. I felt that most items were pretty fairly priced (lots of toddler tees were only $2.59). I lucked out and had my first visit be on a sale day. It started at everything would be 30% off and as the day went on every couple of hours the discount would jump up. It then went to 40% and ended at 50% all merchandise. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Will most definitely be returning.

If you're looking for a collectible and can't find something here...you're not looking hard enough…read more Lol This store is in the Old Market district of Omaha and was almost overwhelming. At points in my life I have collected comic books, other comic book related items, movie related merchandise, and diecast. This place has all that and more...! Shop smart and take your cell phone to stare and compare. I found a few items reasonably priced, but I found quite a few more that were well above what they could be purchased for online including shipping. One thing about collectibles though... Sometimes it's worth a few dollars more to have it in your hands. I've been surprised a few times when I received items that weren't as described or packaging was damaged in transit. Antiques and collectibles are a different market as a buyer... If you see something you want it's better to buy it right then if it's priced within reason. You may never find that same item again... Old Market is what Old Market is... It's geared to tourists and things are often a little high priced in areas like this. So is their rent usually... These areas attract a high volume of people and if you don't want to pay the marked price...someone who comes in right behind you just might. Some of the items here are a little dusty, but I guess that's to be expected with that many surfaces. Pretty hard to stay on top of all of it... The Imaginarium Old Market Mercantile is defintely worth the stop if you are into collectibles and/or nostalgia!

We were able to find all the keychains and shot glasses we needed. Not only did they have Omaha/NE branded items, but they also got items from nearby Iowa. If you are planning on driving through Iowa but still want to take a piece home for yourself, then this is a good spot to stock up as well. The day we shopped here turned out to be the cashier's first day. We had a good time chit chatting about our travels on Route 66 and how we had been on the road for what felt like decades. With great service and a nice selection, this is certainly the best one-stop shop that I can think of for anything Omaha related.
