Why 5 stars? Because we had the perfect wedding. --- --- --- Diana did a phenomenal job with everything - I cannot recommend enough for you to use her, if you're planning on getting married in Oahu. My now-wife handled the majority of the communication with Diana, but she was very on top of all the communication. Everything was executed flawlessly, and with thorough explanation. We ended up choosing Kualoa Ranch, which was one of the places Diana recommended. This is another story for another review, but I highly recommend that venue! Despite all of the moving parts, and the destination wedding of 24 people who traveled into town for it, there was no stone left un-turned. Every detail was taken care of, and because of this, Diana allowed us to enjoy our once-in-a-lifetime experience without a stress or care in the world. read more

I used Martina Cacciaroni and Oahu Wedding Company for my wedding in May of 2009, to cut straight to the point...DO NOT USE HER! My story is long but I'm going to cover the relevant topics. I meet her and some other colleagues a year and a half before my wedding date. She's very personable and her website is great but this reflects nothing to her knowledge of wedding planning abilities. She's a great person and is very sweet but bottom line is she has not clue about what it takes to plan a wedding. I'd give her organizational skills a D-. I was so furious after my wedding that when I came home I did some research on her to find out that she was in college while she was helping me plan my wedding. Which means she's a part time coordinator and explains why she wasn't fully tracking with me. I found her myspace, facebook and some references on her college website that helped me to determine that she was a full time student during my year and a half of planning and that she graduated the same month that I had my wedding. There were so many details that we had discussed that she did not do at my wedding. I'm not sure if she thought I wouldn't of noticed or if she just solely forgot. Every vendor she recommended me to was horrible to work with. The day of the wedding she showed up with basically a bunch of friends (all about 25 yrs old or so) and they were her setup and break down crew. They didn't do a mic check before the wedding and the pastor couldn't even say my name right (which she was suppose to go over with him). It seemed like a bunch of college kids who go to college in Hawaii and decided that they're going to do a wedding planning company for people who do destination weddings. After all, how hard can it be right? I imagine that your able to get away with it so long as the party doesn't exceed 30 people but after that the flaws truly start to come out. Supposedly when I met her a year and a half before my wedding day there was another older lady who was suppose to be mentoring her but for unknown reasons the lady left. Martina is the only wedding planner I believe and there's another guy his name is Nathan Bingham or something similar, but he's just the boyfriend now turned fiance. I did some research on him and it looks like he runs some type of moped rental company on the island as well so they might just be in the business to make money but I assure you that she/they have no idea what they are doing. Even more fishy...when I paid my balance I got an emailed receipt that said it was from Oahu Wedding but the email address wasnathan@hawaiianstylerentals.com I checked that website Hawaiian Style Rentals - Honolulu's Moped, Motorcycle and Bicycle Rentals Specialists on Oahu, Hawaii. and sure enough it looks like the payment system is tied to his business. It doesn't pay to try and scam people especially with the world wide web. I read she got into a college in some state on the east coast so I'm sure she'll just move her business over there or still continue to give the illusion that she can operate out of Hawaii since she still has friend there. Whatever it is...I believe it will all come back to you eventually. I wasn't going to post my review of her initially after my wedding because I thought it would be spitefully of me to do that but if I can save just one person from telling my story than that's one person that can go on and have the wedding of her dreams since it's too late for me. Your wedding day is only one day in a lifetime...don't gamble with someone your unsure about. I say to find someone who you can get good raves on from people who are neutral and have nothing to gain or lose from telling you their personal experience. read more

I LOVE these people!! Our planner, Diana (the new and current owner), was an angel. She went above and beyond to make our day beautiful and perfect. I had all of these crazy visions and put them together and made them flow perfectly. I loved that I could completely trust her style which made it easy for me to not have to make every single decision. Diana did the work for us! When I walked into our venue, I cried! I couldn't belive that she executed my vision so perfectly. She's an absolute sweetheart and her and her staff are so easy (and fun!) to work with. My husband was initially against hiring a planner. Hiring Oahu Wedding was the single best decision my husband and I made about our wedding. Diana is the owner and she was absolutely amazing. We felt that we could absolutely trust her 100% throughout the entire process. She was easy to work with, unfailingly enthusiastic, prompt with e-mail replies, and kept us well in the loop during the entire process. She made wedding planning incredibly stress-free and hired the very best vendors for us, sticking closely to our initial budget except for the couple of things we agreed to splurge on. We had our morning ceremony in Moli'i Gardens (at Kualoa Ranch) in Kaneohe followed by a lunch reception. Throughout the initial discussions regarding venue and vendors, through the later stages of logistical planning and decor design, there was not one detail that Diana missed. She is creative and resourceful, and always had so many ideas for us. The day before our wedding, we met with her while we were at the Department of Health to get our wedding license, and she was absolutely as sweet and wonderful in person as she had been over e-mail and phone for the past few months. On the day of the wedding, everything was perfect. My husband and I thought we were in a dream - and our guests couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything was. Frankly, it was the most beautiful wedding I've ever seen - and I'm so happy it was ours! We can't thank Diana enough for giving us the best day of our lives. I would highly recommend her - I know you don't know me, but if you did - you would know that I am usually nicknamed "the general" and "the glue" - I am super organized, meticulous, and picky; so... Diana is a love of my life. My mother found her while googling Wedding Planners on Oahu. From the first phone call, I instantly clicked with Diana. As a joke, I told her I wanted a "big fat american gypsy wedding", just to see her reaction. A few months later, my family and I travelled to Oahu where Diana showed us venues for a day, based upon my specifications discussed earlier. The last venue, which was not a public venue, ended up being the perfect place to get married for my husband and I. Then we had a wait over a year to get back and actually be married! If you think for one second that her price may be high, you are wrong. My family and I worried about nothing! On my wedding day, Tracy and Kibby were there to assist and are just as sweet as Diana. I told Diana that if I ever win the lottery and move out there, that she better hire me! :) Or let me volunteer, minimally (bc I'll be super rich, ya know?). On the day of my wedding, I wanted to make sure that I had to worry about NOTHING. Diana made sure that happened. Diana from Oahu wedding was absolutely amazing! Her attention to detail and her devotion to us as her clients was better than we could have ever expected. My husband and I are so thankful to have met the owner of Oahu Wedding, Diana Caro-Salvador. We met Diana in October 2013 when we visited the island in hopes to book our wedding vendors. At first I wasn't sure if I really needed a day of coordinator for our destination wedding, but so many of my friends were telling me that a I will for sure regret it if I don't, I decided to get the help. After talking to a few Coordinators, we could tell that Diana was going to be on top of things, but also give us a little breather. Some of the coordinators we met were really strict on time and seemed they were not going to let us really enjoy moments if it was going to go beyond the time allotted. During the year of planning, Diana kept contact with me constantly and truly made me feel like I was the only bride she was working with. She was always on top of the latest updates on contracts with other vendors, worked smoothly with the rest of the vendors we hired and it was really easy to communicate with her. We risked the chance of rain and opted for an outdoor wedding at the JW Marriott Ihilani. I had some favor bags with tissue papers that I wanted to be placed on the tables of the reception. About an hour after Diana and her team had finished setting up the favor bags on the table, it started to sprinkle. I panicked a little and worried the tissue paper would get ruined. As I looked down from the hotel window, I could see Diana and her team scrambling to get the bags. And my photographer at the very moment said "You have nothing to worry about, Diana is the biggest bridezilla, she'll take care of everything". And sure enough she did. When we finally got the see the reception table and the favor bags, it was as if it never rained and the bags still looked perfect! Diana really takes all the burden and stress from the bride with style! During the wedding she made sure all the vendors arrived on time, all the set up was done and the wedding ran smoothly while holding all the wedding party's purses, sunglasses, props and her clipboard. I could not believe how well she was handling the entire wedding while handling our valuables as well. She's amazing. After the wedding even till today when we see our guests, they still talk about how smooth our wedding was and how amazing Diana was in coordinating the day. My husband and I definitely agree. So I am writing this review for Kibby!!! She was our coordinator for our wedding a dew days ago. She was amazing! Planned our ceremony & took care of everything, I was nervous with how everything would turn out I mean what bride isnt! but the bouquet I got was more than perfect, the roses and chair setup was perfect for the little wedding we always wanted, and we were also able to take the roses we had for the chairs over to our reception. When we got to our reception we saw the cake she ordered for us and it was the same exact cake that i had sent her a photo of from pinterest!!! I was honestly very impressed with how she managed that it was ALL exactly what we wanted, not one complaint! Oh and cant forget about our minister she had recommended & got a hold of for us, (Kahu Bruce) he was great at what he does, our family really enjoyed the ceremony, he was straight to the point and also made sure we kept breathing and kept us relaxed as much as possible wich was great! He also included our parents in the ceremony, i really loved that it meant a lot to us :) Overall Kibby and the other ladies were great, they made our day special I would highly recommend her to anyone. She is friendly, my husband and I got a long with her great as soon as we met her. She was there waiting for our guests at the park pointed everyone in the right direction & stayed until the end of our photography session an hour after the ceremony ended. Lucky for us Diana and her team was able to accommodate us during a very busy time for them and help plan our small destination wedding on Friday, 28th June for 14 people at a reasonable fee too. I was fairly stressed and had only contacted Diana a couple of months out from the wedding as I changed wedding planners so we could have a lovely afternoon beachside ceremony followed by an early evening dinner. Diana and her team saved us and did an AMAZING job coordinating all the different vendors in a short space of time and bringing together our vision for a beachside ceremony at the public Waialae Beach Park followed by a relaxing wedding dinner under the lanai at the Royal Hawaiian Hotel (see my review for the Azure restaurant!) with a beautifully decorated table using tropical flowers and bright colors. All of the vendors that Diana suggested and booked relating to the ceremony, the beautiful flowers, the delicious cake were perfect and excellent to work with, which made our day seamless! A special mention goes to Weddings by Kalehua, Kai-Photo, the videographer, the Ukulele guy and the transport she arranged too! Plus my beautiful bouquet and table arrangements which Diana suggested and arranged. They were in lovely pink, orange, yellow and purple flowers like ginger, roses, and various orchids which were a gorgeous feature of our wedding throughout. I arranged the restaurant booking and menu but Diana was very helpful with suggestions for local vendors. Diana was also professional and gracious in dealing with various questions and concerns I had along the way. Some of which you realise after the wedding 'Why did I worry about that in the end?!' But I am sure Diana has dealt with many different brides, so I appreciated her responses and attention to detail! Diana was also quick to problem solve any unforseen problems we encountered on the day like potentially inclement weather (she hired some umbrellas for us) and an alternative parking spot for our bus as the car park for Waialae Beach Park which was closed due to road works! She professionally dealt with all of these things on our behalf so our day remained relatively hassle free. We totally appreciated that Diana! I honestly believe that the single best decision I made while planning my destination wedding was to hire Diana as my wedding planner!!! She is amazing, and I can't stress that enough. From our very first conversation, she was extremely easy to talk to, she listened closely to what sort of vibe we wanted, and she constantly came up with creative ways to make our day even more special. She was also very conscientious of our budget and worked hard to keep me on track, which I really appreciated. Like many couples planning a destination wedding, I did not fly out to Hawaii beforehand, so I was picking everything completely blind. I didn't see the site until I was walking down the aisle, I never did a tasting session for the food or cake, and I didn't see the flowers or linens in person until the day of. I always wanted to get married in Hawaii... But once my husband and I got engaged we began trying to plan the wedding ourselves, which we soon found to be a big mistake. I pride myself on being a well organized, thorough, detailed person who can arrange anything. But I soon found that planning our wedding in Hawaii was way out of my league. I was extremely frustrated the day I first contacted Martina at Oahu Wedding. By the end of our first conversation, everything seemed to be laid out and began to fall into place. Martina knew from our conversation exactly what I was looking for and knew all the detailed questions to ask. To tell you the truth, I barely had to do anything from there on out. SHE DID IT ALL! Talk about easy! I run my own business and help in running my husbands business as well. I have no time for wedding details! Plus we live 10,000 miles away from Hawaii. Martina made the 6 hour time difference easy... with detailed e-mails and scheduled phone conversations, the planning of our wedding could not have gone more smoothly. We arrived in Hawaii a few days before the wedding, went over the last minute details in a meeting with Martina the day before the wedding and before I knew it the big day was here! We had a beautiful ceremony, amazing reception, no worries, no drama, no mistakes and very happy guests. What more could a bride and groom ask for? We are very thankful that we called Martina. We found her to be thorough, kind, very well organized, willing to do whatever it took to make our arrangements easier on us and she was very reasonably priced. I hired Oahu Wedding to coordinate our wedding over a year in advance of my wedding date. Martina was the wedding coordinator assigned to our wedding date. Her website looked nice and she initially had a very quick response to our initial inquiry. Looking back now I see that that was just to gain our initial business. As it got closer to the wedding date it seemed as if having her as my coordinator only added more stress to the planning rather than alleviate anything from our plates. ***Please be aware of the phony reviews. I find it very "coincidental" that these profiles were just created in July after my review were listed. If you do your own research on the company you will find that they have only been in business a short time and it is obvious that their coordinator was an amateur in the industry and has hardly any experience. Please do your research on her and Oahu Wedding before hiring. This is a day you do not want to take any "chances" on. I wouldn't be this passionate about my opinion if i didn't have this type of experience. I am also in the process with the BBB Hawaii and Oahu Wedding LLC has still not responded to any of the BBB's requests for resolving the issues at hand.*** There were specific issues that I mention below. Photographer: We were told on several instances (via email) that we were going to have a specific Photographer that day of the wedding. After we got back from our honeymoon, we called that company to check the status of our photos and to get an ETA on the finished product. They said they NEVER even had us booked for that weekend. The photographer there that day wasn't even from their company! I was shocked. From here on I had no clue who that photographer was that was shooting on our wedding day. We left two voice messages for Martina/Oahu Weddings and she never once returned our messages. How could she not even follow up on us with our wedding pictures that she had booked for us? How would we have ever known who to contact etc? I had to do a little random research on the internet to find out who the company was to do the photos that day. All I knew was the name of the photographer. I ended up getting down to the bottom of it and finding out who it was. Very disappointing being that we were excited about the initial photography company who was going to do the work for us that day. We were never notified of any change in the photographer. I would think that a wedding coordinator would know how important wedding photos are to a couple being that those are the only tangible memories you have of that day. NIGHTMARE!! DJ and Emcee: Again, we were told we'd be having a specific DJ there that day of the wedding. He was highly recommended by several people (especially our catering manager) and so we were thrilled to have him there that day being that that was an important thing for us. When you are spending over a grand on a DJ I think it is important to have one who you have done research on and were happy with. The day of the wedding we show up to the reception and the DJ we were under the impression we had hired was not the DJ who was there. To say the least, the DJ who performed the DJ and emcee service was mediocre and not too enthusiastic. I was so disappointed but tried not to show this to my guests and tried not to let it ruin our night. Once again Martina (Oahu Weddings) dropped this ball on this one. I have emails with her telling us we'd be getting that specific DJ and once again she failed to follow through on that guarantee. Although, the two issues above were the most important and disappointed there were many other things that Martina and Oahu Weddings failed to pay close attention too. there were also many cases where I feel like she was trying to overcharge us. She claims that she works with a wholesale florist and is very involved in the design. I don't believe she is a professional florist so please think twice before hiring her if flowers are an important part of your wedding. I ended up going with Su V Expressions and her work was absolutely beautiful. I later found that that she booked the photographer (keep in mind the wrong one) just about a month prior to our wedding date. I also called the ceremony music vendor that was supposed to be booked for our ceremony a few days prior to our wedding date just to make sure that was booked since I was skeptical of Martina's bookings. The Company said that Martina hadn't even booked our performer yet. This was 2 days prior to the wedding day! And we had told her we wanted the performer from the very start. Very poor planning. These are just a few issues among the many. Just wanted to share with you my horrible experience so that you can avoid it for your big day! read more

We cannot say enough about Oahu Wedding. Martina and her crew did a fantastic job coordinating our wedding. We had many ideas on what we wanted for our wedding and Martina helped us get them all organized and helped us save money wherever we could without compromising on quality. We had picked the venue, caterer, photobooth, DJ & MC ourselves but Martina did a great job coordinating with all of them to make sure they all had what they needed. She got quotes from multiple vendors to help us save money. Not being from Hawaii, we only met Martina a couple days before the wedding and she provided all the information that we needed to make sure the wedding went off without a hitch such as the Marriage license and the cake tasting. On the day of the wedding, the hair & makeup person and the photographer that Martina recommended not only showed up on time, they were also very professional and did a great job. We had an idea of what we wanted for the table settings and gave all the supplies to Martina and she did an even better job than we had imagined. To help save us money, Martina even did our centerpieces and 2 bouquets and they all looked spectacular. Overall the entire event went off smoothly. Martina and her staff were courteous and professional. Anything we needed they did without question. Martina did a great job keeping us on schedule and the party moving along. They did so well that there was really no stress for us and we got to enjoy the company of all the guests. At the end our guests had a great time and loved everything about the night. Until today we are getting compliments about how great it was. Finally, we managed to get everything we wanted and still stayed under budget. There were no extra fees or anything after we finished and Martina and her crew handled all the clean up and returning of the rentals. About 3 weeks later we received the pictures from the photographer which all looked great. I really wish we could say thank you enough to Martina and Oahu Wedding for making it such a memorable event. We can't wait to use Oahu Wedding when we renew our vows! read more

I would like to begin by saying.... thank you Diana and Oahu wedding for producing the best day of my life!!! No word can describe the greatest experience we had working with Diana @ Oahu wedding for our Lanikuhonua private beach wedding on September 3rd 2010. I am a IT project coordinator myself, and know how challenging it is to work with a client with so much ideas without knowing how to execute it. Diana had brought our detailed visions to the reality, and made our wedding so much better than we could've dreamed of! We were planning a destination wedding from Los Angeles, inviting 30 guests from 3 different countries. I was so worried when I initially started planning, but at our very first phone meeting with Diana, we trusted her (because of her professional manner as well as super likable personality!) and she continued to provide us with the ideas and suggestions, and amazingly materialized the better version of what we had in mind on the day of our wedding. Despite of her super busy schedule, she is always responsive to the email (always within 24 hours), phone call, and no matter how many upcoming wedding she has in her schedule, we felt like she did really care for each one of them. It almost felt like your best friend or sister who totally understands your vision is helping you. All the venders she suggested was wonderful, from the makeup artist to the catering service, but she always kept her suggestions that will work with our budget. (I think this is most important, that many bride could easily double the budget once planning starts!). Another thing that we loved about her is that, she is very tech savvy, she always posts her wedding she produced on Oahu wedding Facebook site, providing all the brides new ideas on favors, flower arrangement, venue, place card etc... As I was planning, I checked their FB religiously since it was very resourceful! She happily accommodated our last minutes changes and questions, even during the event, she is a kind of person who would provide a Tylenol to the guest who was having a headache! She goes way beyond her profession as a wedding coordinator, and I am so lucky to have worked with her for the very important day for all our family member. Thanks to her, all our guest left our wedding saying that it was the most beautiful, most well organized, and most memorable wedding they have ever attended! Now that our wedding is over, both my husband and I miss Diana, and she made us want to come back to Hawaii to renew our vows every year... with her! I think, the wedding might be your biggest day of your life, but the whole process of the planning until the wedding day could be as joyful if you had the right wedding coordinator. I wanted her to coordinate the renewal of vows for my husband and myself while in Waikiki for and later vacation. I chose her as I wanted a small event and really liked the tone of their website...personal,relaxed, but elegant. I also needed someone who could take care of it all as I live on the East Coast. From the starting phone consultation to the many e-mails and periodic phone conversations that followed, Diana was great to work with...her suggestions, follow up to the last minute details. I got engaged just before Christmas and started looking for a wedding coordinator in Hawaii immediately. My husband and I met there 2 years while skydiving. I moved from Connecticut to California for him after talking on the phone for 2 months! Our wedding in Hawaii had to be perfect. After hours of searching for the perfect website, I found Oahu Wedding. I wanted to be able to pick and choose what I wanted, not a preset package. Martina was quick to respond to my initial request. We talked on the phone only a couple of times, but it was like I was talking to an old friend who knew exactly what I wanted for my wedding. We sent countless emails back and forth. Martina worked very hard on my wedding, as I have received emails from her at 3:30am Hawaii time! The setting at Paradise Cove on July 5, 2009 was gorgeous. The walkway petals and altar were lovely. I even shipped her straw fans I found online and she put them on the chairs for me and on the ground so that the bridal party knew where to stand. We really needed those fans that day! My bouquets were exactly what I wanted. The flowers on the cake were perfect. The cake itself was absolutely delicious! Much better than any other wedding cake I've had. The hair and makeup girls did a wonderful job. My bridal party and I have never looked so good! She even gave me the name of a woman who would pick up my dresses at my hotel and press them for me and bring them back to the hotel. I didn't have to deal with the stress of finding the place and then having to go back to get them. Martina did a PHENOMENAL job planning my wedding. I can't say enough about her! I actually feel little sad that I won't be planning my wedding with her anymore. Thanks Martina for the wonderful memories! PS. After a lot of research, I came across Oahu Weddings online. Their website had so many options and Martina, the wedding coordinator, was able to customize a package just for us. I was nervous of the idea of a destination wedding, seeing that I don't live locally and wouldn't be able to see anything in person until a couple days before our big day, but Martina and her team put me at ease. Martina and I would email pictures to each other of ideas and follow up with a phone conversation to be sure we were on the same page. The day before the wedding Martina and I met, so I could see the ceremony site in person. The site was everything she said and more! I hired Diana at Oahu Wedding to help plan my wedding and i am so thankful I did. Diana is awesome. She is so helpful, nice and is very experienced. I lived in California when I got engaged and I needed someone to help me plan my wedding as I was so far away. I read reviews and looked over her website and I just knew she was the one. We had a phone conversation and I liked her so much from the get go. I was so excited when me and my then fiance decided to move to Hawaii, I emailed her right away and told her that we get to meet and plan the wedding in person. I would email her or text her and she always responded. Sometimes she would take a few days but I know she is a busy girl with all the weddings she plans which is understandable. My Wedding day was everything I had ever dreamed of and more all thanks to Diana and Oahu Wedding! She took my vision and created a beautiful ceremony. We spent a year planning, from the beginning she paid attention to every detail of my request. She always made it a point to answer my emails, regardless of how short or long they were. We live in Texas, so planning a destination wedding most people thought for sure would be so stressful. Diana made every bit of our wedding seem effortless...we never once felt overwhelmed...I literally felt like my only job was to give her the idea, the foundation of what we wanted our special day to be and she created a masterpiece. Even down to the last few hours before the wedding Diana came to the rescue by providing flower girl baskets, a cake cutter and music for the ipod! All of which we were supposed to already have, but no worries she was there to take care of it for us! Planning wedding is truly a gift she is blessed with... She loves what she does and you can tell each and every bride has a special place in her heart... Regardless of how small or large your wedding/ceremony is she makes you feel like it will be the best wedding EVER (ours was only 30 people and ceremony, no reception).
