My car would not start this morning until my husband hooked cables up to the battery and pressed a button. Then I was on my way. After working a long day and having electrical issues, I was ready to head home. The same thing happened, car would not start. A couple of my coworkers came to assist thinking that I may need a jump. I handed them the power pack, which they hooked to my battery and pressed a button. It started. I refused to turn off my car until I reached a location where my battery could be replaced. At my first stop, I was informed that the battery needed for my car was available. AND, it was on sale for 5$ off. BUT, they no longer do installs because too many customers were filing false damage claims. Are you kidding me? I had turned off my car thinking I was good. Said a quick prayer to make it across the street to the strip mall where Interstate Battery was located. Car started, I made it. Went in a bit frazzled and, I did NOT turn off my car. Lol. I took a slow, deep breath and asked for assistance. The young man came outside and asked me to pop my hood. I said: "I'll pop the hood but I'm not turning off my car." He looked at me and smiled. He said: "I'll be right back." He came back and told me that he had good news and bad news. I braced for the worst. Good news; we have your battery. Bad news; we can't install it without you turning off your car. He had me in tears cracking up. After the day I was having, for him to make me laugh like that was priceless. The install took less than fifteen minutes. They also informed me that I had the original manufacturer battery in my car and that it was seven years old. I am so grateful that it was a simple fix and that I was guided to the right place. Thank you again Marty and Larry. You both added a little joy to my day.

When Brandon came out with my watch. I laid down my checked, put the watch on and thanked him. As I turned to leave the store, he called me back and said: "Ma'am, you forgot your checkbook". I was astonished by his actions. The check I was writing was already signed, so he now would have access to my signature. He also would have multiple blank checks. In this day and age, honesty can be sorely lacking. What an outstanding employee and a memorable human being.  I am so grateful to him for his thoughtfulness, professionalism and his honesty. Interstate Batteries had taken my previous batteries and had them tested to advise me on whether or not they were still a good battery. They had informed me that all for batteries were dead and I needed to purchase new ones. After purchasing 4 new ones I drove to my campsite only to find out that they did not give me back my battery cable post caps Which secure the cable to the post. Needless to say my entire weekend was ruined. When I left a message regarding the missing items from my old batteries nobody returned a phone call. I showed up two days later and was confronted by the owner's son approached me with the I don't give a shit attitude towards me. The guy who helped me out (MDJ?) helped me pick out a small power inverter, so that I could charge my laptop in my car. He fully explained the difference between the options, offered his advice on the smaller gadgets I picked up while waiting in line, and he even let me know that when there are storms, they check the power outage map in the morning; if there are outages nearby, they show up and open early. I went home and was able to charge my laptop, phone, and even plugged in my 4G router to supply an open network for anyone in range during the outage (gotta pay it forward!), all from my car, for barely over $30. Seriously, how awesome of them? As a small business owner and operator, these dudes really helped save my day. I'm ashamed to admit that I found them while waiting for Best Buy to open. If you have any needs for batteries for whatever, inverters for wherever, or anything related whatsoever, I HIGHLY recommend checking these guys out before spending money on related goods elsewhere.
