I just left the Tinley Park, IL location and dealt with Brandon. They were replacing a watch battery for me and I thought it would take a bit of time, so as I was waiting, I pulled out my checkbook and began writing out checks. When Brandon came out with my watch. I laid down my checked, put the watch on and thanked him. As I turned to leave the store, he called me back and said: "Ma'am, you forgot your checkbook". I was astonished by his actions. The check I was writing was already signed, so he now would have access to my signature. He also would have multiple blank checks. In this day and age, honesty can be sorely lacking. What an outstanding employee and a memorable human being.  I am so grateful to him for his thoughtfulness, professionalism and his honesty. The last time I was here, they went through all of my watches to make sure tgey were in the system correctly. I should've listen to the reviews. Manager and owner are both horrible with keeping promises. Went in for a key fob and on 3 different multiple hour waits, they could not program. They promised to give me my money as a credit and 15% off and $50 for those multiple visits. Owner and manager both lied. Owner actually hung up on me after stating that they can only cap off a discount at $30 when I bought a boat battery for several hundred dollars. Our car FOB recently broke with the key stuck in the ignition. Luckily it was close enough to our house to gather tools to remove it and bring the backup FOB. Bu we were left with the problem of replacing the FOB. The dealer examined the system and quoted a price of replacement. We opted to order the FOB from Batteries +. It was received the next day and programming was performed efficiently and effectively. Best of all the project was done at $80 less than the dealer quote. JUST AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE!!!! My key fob Failed. Locked out of operation and on anti theft with all the bells and whistles. Went to the dealer to get help, after the astonishing amount of almost $600 ( they wanted the car towed to them to program the $200 "oem key". Well, that did not work in to my plan. Found out that "Batteries+" might help. Damn straight !!! Mark came to my driveway and got me going in "5 minutes". He set me up with a another key fob so now I have (2) two brand new FOBS, programmed and NOT OEM. For less than $220. Stay away from those crook dealers. Do not go!! I took my iPad there for a new battery: they put a defunct battery in and tore the screen. I took it back and asked them to correct their damage. They put a new battery in and literally destroyed my iPad. The device only needed a battery and they completely destroyed it. I lost two business contracts while waiting for them to repair it. They told me they could ship it to their warehouse in Joliet and yet they further stated they couldn't promise it would be repaired then. They literally destroyed my iPad and had the audacity to look me straight in my face and NOT provide me with repairs nor the means to recoup my loss. They paid me for the battery--it took 4 days---however no full compensation for the destruction of the iPad. I took the iPad to the Apple Store in Orlando Park where they immediately saw the sloppy and destructive work that had been done to the iPad. The damage came to $389.00. There I was w/a iPad, which Batteries Plus destroyed. I had to purchase a new iPad while at the Apple Store. The other iPad couldn't be salvaged. I will never tell anyone to go to this store and I will always tell of my horrible account w/them. They gave me credit to have free watch batteries I discarded the credit. I even contacted local news networks to report this incident: making known how this establishment basically mishandled me. DO NOT SHOP HERE. Failed to accomplish an iPhone 6 Plus battery swap. Instead the device caught fire while on the bench (I was present in the store when the toxic cloud went up). Manager and Owner so far have failed to remedy the situation with FAIR market value of my replacement $543 for AT&T, iPhone 6plus 128gb in (formerly) perfect condition. Walmart, Amazon, GameStop all sell for $509, $519, $549 (not including tax). Company offered me a check for $350 (I did not accept), and will Only accept (and must fight for) appropriate resolution. Btw, not a teller or angry person, I was very calm the night it occurred Friday evening), and returned twice on Saturday to try to obtain resolution (to no avail....yet). Manager/Owner is ducking me, keeps using counter person to relay messages, despite me leaving multiple phone numbers....a cowardly act and poor customer service. I have been to this location several times and have NEVER had to wait as long as I waited this time. It was the middle of the day on a Friday and only 1 person was behind the counter. That's not unusual because someone is usually in the back working on another order. Well, changing watch batteries usually doesn't take 15-20 minutes but for some reason, it did this time. If I could give this place less the 1 Star I would. The RUDE customer service is beyond my understanding. Don't your money. I purchased a lifetime battery replacement for my car. I had to put up with two statements "I have been here 5 years and never saw this tag." Then the manager was rude as well. "What do you want me to do. You never got that here". I brought my cracked phone screen in to be repaired and ended up making 8 trips (4 round trips) to the store. Each time they screwed up something else. First the sensor didn't work, then the LED was bleeding behind the screen and now I cannot scroll up and down. I finally demanded my money back. I will NEVER enter that store again! The cashier said it was the IPhone 7 that was the problem and that they were having problems the last 2 months. Yet they still are taking in the phones and charging money to try and fix it!!! I haven't experienced customer service like this in a very long time. Randall was the employee who took care of my husband and I tonight. We needed a battery for the phone, so we could transfer everything over to a new phone. He gave us 3 options, and explained all in detail. He charged the battery for an hour, costs $5, and was exactly what we needed. When we returned to get the battery there were a couple of other patrons waiting, and Randall took time with each of them, making sure they understood everything. Seriously, it is nearly impossible to find people like this anywhere, anymore! His knowledge is quite broad on electronics, I'm impressed and will be returning here for my mobile phone issues, rather than T-MOBILE. By the way....while we were there, I asked my husband if I could sit in the truck while he finished up...and Randall brought me over a stool to sit on. How sweet is that? I recently brought my phone 7 to the Tinley Park IL location to have the Taptic Engine replaced. When I picked up the phone the vibrate feature on the phone was extremely soft. When I questioned that the salesman said that was normal for the phone. When I left the store I started testing the phone to ensure it was repaired. It was not. I called the store 15 minutes after I left to inform them that the vibrate feature was not properly functioning. The associate who answered the phone replied "Well I'm the guy who fixed it and It worked fine." I brought my phone back in the following day to have someone look at it. They were busy so I left the phone with them and returned after work to pick it up. When I came to pick up the phone an associate told me that they tried multiple Taptic engines and they were unable to fix my phone. They put the original part back in the phone and we're going to charge me $30 for the repair associates time. When they handed me my phone the screen was raised and there were scratches on the phone all around the screen. I pointed the scratches out and explained that those were not there when I dropped off the phone. The associate went to talk to the manager who did not come out to talk to me. The associate came back and said that there was nothing they would do about that. After requesting some resolution to the scratches multiple times the manager finally came out to speak to me. When I pointed out my concerns he simply responded "That's just normal wear and tear. " I told him that the phone was not in that condition when I dropped it off. He then went to talk to the repair associate who stated "He obviously just wants a free phone." The manager then came back and again stated that it was normal wear and tear and they did not damage the phone. I explained that the associate who took my phone did a thorough check in process and the phone was not in that condition when I dropped it off. The manager then looks at the phone and says "What's the big deal you can't even see it when the case is on." I responded by stating that I was not ok with the condition of the phone. He then stated " Actually It was probably caused by the case." I then noticed that the touch screen was not working. The manager took the phone back to the repair associate who did a hard reset on the phone. The manager told me that there was nothing wrong with the screen it just needed to be reset. At that point I knew that I was getting nowhere with the manager. I took the phone and I drove directly to Apple. The Apple associate immediately pointed out the scratches and the fact that the screen was raised up and not set properly. Additionally he pointed out discoloration near the bottom of the screen. Apple said that the scratches appeared to be from someone prying at the screen. The screen had been improperly inserted back on the phone and was damaged and needed to be replaced. Apple was also able to replace the taptic engine with no issues. I recommend that no one bring their phone to batteries plus for repair unless you're willing to pay someone else to fix what they break. To make matters worse I emailed corporate who told me that the store manager would reach out to me and no one has followed up. No wonder why the staff doesn't care. It starts from the top. read more

BOTH employees disappear in the back room! Finally, after 10 minutes or more, I went towards the back room, and gave a yell for someone to ring up one stinkin battery!! GEEZ, GUYS... I don't usually write reviews but I had to do this to save someone else from a bad experience. We brought in 3 watches for replacement, one being a slightly more expensive watch, they completely destroyed the back of the watch with gouaches in the cover and bezel everywhere. The person who worked on it apologized and said we tried a bunch and we scratched it and couldn't open it, the manager at the time STEVE was asked in front of me what their policy on scratched watches is, and his exact response was "it happens" then walked away, i asked for his name when leaving and said I would be going to corporate which I just got done doing to report his location and his terrible attitude and his response was laughing it up as I left and told me go ahead. I'm not the type to complain but this was the worst service I have ever had hands down. Managed to get a hold of the a main office and am filing a formal report and will be seeking damages. read more

This place has some of THE WORST customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I went in today and there were 3 men working behind the counter. The all looked up at me as I walked in but none of them greeted me. One was helping a man. One was helping an older woman. And the other was on the phone. Another guy walks in who turns out to be an employee. When the one on the phone was done he just walked away. When the one helping the man was done he looked me in my face and preceded to talk to the guy who'd just walked in. My cousin walked in a few seconds later. Everybody looked at her and still said not a word. I'm trying hard to believe that these 4 WHITE men were NOT ignoring us because we were BLACK. I've never experienced racism in this area. Very friendly and helpful employee. My hubby went to get wipers for his car, because they install them for free. While there, my hubby was asking about his key fob and the automatic start. The guy explained what was wrong and helped him fix it, rather than replacing it entirely, which saved us a bit of money. Although the store itself may not look all that upscale, the employees are very knowledgeable when it comes to assisting customers, and are willing to give them the best service they can. I remember a few days before I got my current phone, my old one began to short-circuit because I accidentally got pool water on the inside of it. One of the employees told me to put the battery in a bag of rice to get all the moisture out (which was a life hack I never thought of at the time). Unfortunately, because pool water has large amounts of chlorine in it, the battery, along with the phone itself, wasn't salvageable in the end. When my current phone's old battery began to weaken, another one of the employees told me exactly what to do when I go to use my new battery, and was nice enough to not only give me a free warranty on it, but also told me that he'll fix it for free (if I remember what he said correctly) if the warranty ends up failing. He also put the old battery in electronic recycling, which is nice, because then its parts can be used for something else. I especially like how they examine your phone by taking a new battery off of the rack, then seeing if replacing the old battery solves the problem, and finally charging you for the replacement if it helps. Unfortunately, many people don't know how their phones work from a technical standpoint, so if you don't know exactly what the problem is, the employees thankfully know how to help. Its also nice that they have special kinds of tools to fix a battery just in case replacing it doesn't help. read more

I called the store for pricing and availability and was able to get my phone fixed on my lunch break. It was quick and easy! The staff was very knowledgeable and couldn't have been any nicer. I went in to purchase a watch battery for my best watch. Big mistake! The next day, my watch had stopped. I reset the time and it would run for an hour or two and then stop again. I went back to the store a week or two later and told them that the battery was defective. They tested it and then told me that my watch had shorted it out and I needed to have my watch repaired and referred me to a repair shop. I went home and put a cheap (like a $.25) battery in my watch. Two months later it is still running perfectly. I did ask for a refund on the cost of the battery (almost $10) and all they could give me was a voucher for $4 off my next watch battery. There will never be a next battery from that store. read more
