DO NOT GO HERE. GO TO AUTO ZONE OR O'REILLY. I went here to get a new battery and you wouldn't believe the bad attitude I got from the guy who I bought it from. He was so obnoxious and swearing his head off while he installed it. This was reported to their corporate office. Yes, it's only an auto parts store in a blue collar neighborhood, but that doesn't excuse you for being rude and unprofessional. It's Auto Zone for me from now on! read more

Last week on the coldest day of the year, John came out and put on my wiper blades. He had a great attitude and made my visit here awesome to say the least. Yesterday, I went back and got another jack and also the rear wiper. This time, Eric came out and put on the wiper blade. He even grabbed the jack and carried that to my car. The two other guys I saw working in the store also seemed nice. Great staff here. Highly recommended. read more

So I'm looking for a part and some touch up paint for my 2009 Impala. I went to Oreilly's in OFo, the didn't have it.took a drive to Advance Auto Parts in 144th and Cicero in Midlothian. I walk in the door and the guy says, my computers are down it's gonna take about 15 minutes to reboot. I said that's ok I'll see if you have my parts (I can waste 15 minutes in an auto parts store easy) he then says, "go find it yourself, I don't need your shit right now" WTF! Where did that come from? I didn't ask him to help me, I then said, forget it I'll go somewhere else. He said "good, I don't need people like you in here" what an asshole! There is another Oreilly's and an Auto Zone literally 200 yards from this store. Auto Zone had what I needed. I'll never set foot in Advanced Auto Parts again read more

well I just got finished writing my heart out, pouring all details into my google review & it sorta feels like cheating to copy from there (hard to quiet the former teacher in me) but I might later go ahead & do just that. Honestly that summed up the entire experience from start to finish. Maybe too much detail but kind of what I DO. For now just let it suffice to say, just go there. They can be trusted, they are honest & customer service oriented. And they are fair. Don't know much more you can expect from a company. I had a wonderful experience (given an ongoing, seemingly unique but difficult situation with our battery purchase from 3 years back) with DANIEL. Just a gem, truly, they are lucky to have him. We've bought both our car batteries (hubby & I) from them & haven't a second of regret. Their customer service in unparalleled & trust me, if you've not already learned customer service matters most, you maybe haven't lived long enough. For our other car needs (and future batteries), we will return. Plus we got the added bonus of hearing all about the possibilities of potentially making some side money driving Uber & uber-eats (didn't even know the second one existed). Interesting conversation & also learned a thing or two about other areas (like if an employee ratchets your battery in too tight, it can crack the battery. Had NO idea & likely what happened)....so good insight worth sharing here as well (at least we hadn't known this. Maybe YOU didn't too so be careful). well I sure hope Daniel stays around there a long time, what a delight & made car problems --NO fun for anyone!--so much less a hassle (take your mind off it the minutes he was installing battery. And again, he's HONEST; refreshingly, a man of his word so that informs me on this business). Hope you manage to keep him, again, he's very personable ---in reality, he's got quite the sales personality & I know sales well from having worked top of that world once in ad sales. If you wanna succeed & have longevity & most of all, sleep well at night...3 things: be tenacious & always HONEST, be direct/clear & most of all, live & KNOW customer service is top priority at all times. Heck, one thing is sure, you will always be glad you had this logical business model when you cash that check! I think Daniel might be a man of many trades so be glad he's where he's at if you have him there. Thanks for helping us out when needed. I trust in this store, it's been well earned. And by nature, I just call it exactly as I see & experience it, so there's no confusion but ideally complete clarity. We need to know where to go, who to trust & thankfully we NOW can easily share due to technology -- it's readily available if we investigate fully. I was waiting on Advanced Auto to deliver the Air Filter. If I would have known it would take an hour and 15 minutes to drive 10 minutes i would have done it myself. The gentleman delivered it wrong first. I had to wait an ADDITIONAL 15 minutes for them to get it right and they have the audacity to tell me "we can't do anything for you". That's not how customer service works. read more

I always use this Advance when I need parts for my car or a friends car. The staff is always friendly and work quickly and efficiently. I order online and pickup in store. They always have the part ready to go when I get there and with the online coupons they are the most cost effective too. Never had a bad part from them. . read more
