The O'Reilly workers at 1701 S Kansas Ave went well above and beyond to help this weary traveler on…read morea Saturday evening in July 2016. After driving 550 miles, the last 100 or so with a failed alternator, I was only half way home with a vehicle full of vacationing family and travel stuff. I coasted in to the parking lot at O'Reilly and they immediately began to assess my dead battery and failed charging system. They evaluated the battery to the extent possible and then began to quick charge it so they could start the vehicle and get a full electrical system diagnostic report. About 30 minutes later, the battery was charged enough to start the vehicle and they quickly determined that I had a failed alternator. They priced out a part for me and let me leave the vehicle there overnight. I found a service provider who could help me on Sunday morning, and got on my way losing only about 1.5 hours of travel time overall. O'Reilly did not charge me anything for all of the help they gave me. Super nice workers who gave me everything they could give without charging me. I recommend this auto parts store with enthusiasm. Please do your auto parts business with these folks; you will be glad you did.

I was looking for a three cent part. This girl had no idea what I was talking about, let alone the issue I was having. she was more concerned whether or not I had cut in line , then the issue at hand. I went down the street, where I should've gone in the first place, and the 20 something kid at that store took me directly to the part I needed, and I was in and out in less than five minutes. The girl behind the counter at O'Reilly clearly did not have the tools in her toolbox to assist me, let alone anyone in the general public, aside from scanning a barcode. I won't be returning.

I ask a young woman who was playing on her phone for a couple of different tools that I'm looking for after I've been up and down the aisle for a while, not able to find any. She says go down aisle three or down there. She quickly returns to her phone to play on her phone or text or whatever she was doing. My question is why is she working here when she doesn't even wanna work there? Well, O'Reillys you lost a long time customer. Maybe you should've learned to manage your people better.

The two people behind the desk were very attentive, Janice and another fellow, but I didn't catch his name. They knew exactly how to find the parts I needed and were some of the friendliest cashiers Ive ever come across. They were both so incredibly nice to me and brightened up my day. Thanks for being the reason I smiled today :)

Absolutely horrible service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!…read more Went in there for spark plugs and an air filter and some advice and was quickly insulted many times. The elderly man working there seems to get a power trip by holding his knowledge of cars above everyone. He did not even listen to me fully about my car before telling my I have no business working on my car. It seems rather self-defeating for an autoparts store to suggest I not give them business. Anyways, after telling the guy he was rude for insulting me, I drove across the street to Autozone and they helped me with a smile. oh and guess what!? It turns out I knew exactly what was wrong with my car (considering I had the fault codes which the other guy ignored when I told him I knew the codes, what was wrong, and how to fix it). In my opinion, I doubt I was the first person to get mad at that guy and leave the store. O'Reilly missed out on a $100+ sale from just me; I can only imagine how much money O'Reilly has lost because of this guy.
