HAD an engine issue while traveling. Stopped into Sequim O'Reilly's and the staff helped by referring a local mechanic! The staff was welcoming, friendly and (obviously) very helpful! All told the O'Reilly experience and referral to Justin at Gale Family Automotive was GREAT! Bonus was my mini vacation extended so I had unexpected extra time with family in Port Angeles. PS: Hwy 101 from Hwy 20 to Sequim is an aggressive Hwy! Well, guess most Hwy's and drivers are aggressive these days. You'd think a bunch of'm are headed to a hospital with a pregnant woman who's water just broke, or a severely injured person who's missing limb is packed in an ice chest, to be in such a rush. Stopped to get a light bulb for my car. Manager overheard the young guy working the counter struggling with how to figure it out, so he came over to help him. After the manager walked away, he told me what bulb I needed. In other auto parts stores I've been to, I'm always offered free assistance for the install. He didn't offer this. I just wanted to drop a quick review for the customer service and staff at this store. I'm not from the area, but when I had a check engine light pop on last week, they were the closest shop. I stopped in and found prompt customer service. I was worried that it was an issue that would end up costing me a lot of money, but they were quick to diagnose and solve the problem at a cost that was a lot lower than I was expecting. Brandon, in particular, was extremely helpful in getting the issue solved. If you have any auto-related problems while you're in Sequim, I can't speak to the quality of the other auto-part stores in town, but this place solved the problem. read more

4 people were working. The lady in front of me stood at the register for like 5 minutes before anyone walking by acknowledged her. Not one employee was wearing a mask, even though there's signs posted saying that the customers are required to wear masks. And there was a white dog running around the store like it was an employee's pet. Jumping up on people's legs, including my daughters, who is extremely allergic to dogs. So, I had to carry her. I just moved into sequim, and am a mechanic on the side, but, if the company is going to allow this location to not enforce any rules, I will be taking my business to auto zone in port angeles. This will always be my first stop, but, if I see any of this when I go in. Will immediately turn around. read more

I visited the store on May 23rd and I was looking to get truck bed toppers lift support struts. I asked Bruce (according to receipt) for camper lift support and he said "we don't have that. go to Eric's RV." I was confused as to why he would send me there and no trying to understand what I needed. Since I've never changed the lift support struts, I took his advice and went to Eric's RV but it was closed. I came back to the store and decided to buy cleaning products for my truck. Bruce was behind the register again and didn't even bother to ask if I found what I was looking for. I bought about $200 worth of products, my hands full, and struggling to get everything with me but he again didn't even bothered to even ask if I needed help. On May 24th, I came back to the store and Bruce was there again. I asked for truck bed toppers lift support struts again and I guess the part of his brain that makes him care about anything activated a tiny bit and he said " I gotta measure the ones in your truck." He proceeded to "measure" got the parts and didn't even offer to help me out and install them. I went home and try to install them myself. I realized that the parts were to large so I went back to the store and Bruce said " you can compress them" Again, he is not willing to help me install them. Went home again, put the parts on, compressed them, tried to close the lid but the parts are too large and the camper lid won't close. At that point I was done. My wife felt bad for me and decided to go to the store and get it done. Bruce and everyone else in that shift were not there. Just a bunch of teenage kids who don't have any clue about my problem. My wife had to get them to measure correctly and pay the difference for the right parts that they don't even have at the store. The parts will be send to the store later today May 25th. We have spent 3 days and today will be the 6th time we go to the store because Bruce decided that he is too cool to do his job or because he is just a extremely racist person who won't help people of color. I strongly believe is a mixture of both. read more

I needed a new battery for my Ford Ranger. Aja was very helpful; ran tests on the scanner, determined it was the battery and installed the new one for me. Staff was rude and disrespectful. As a parts professional myself I can say without a doubt that this shamble of a crew lacks training and needs to learn how to talk to customers. Simple things like a carb base plate gasket for a small block chevy, takes an eternity to find, the oil filter I asked for was wrong, and turned out to be for a saturn! Door handles for my f250 took 2 tries just to get the metal handles and then they order 2 of the same handles for the driver's side door. Too many mistakes were made for me to waste my time. If it's something that's out on the floor that i can find myself i'll get it but other than that, don't waste your time! read more
