Sunset Battery Warehouse

Sunset Battery Warehouse

All I can say is that the one review I read about this place is absolutely point on and it's a…read moregreat place that sells decent used batteries that will probably last at least 6 months and they give you a three month warranty anyway. I paid cash so I paid $33 but the guy even put it in for me because I didn't have any tools with me but I did have my truck that had a dead battery. I'm going in for another one today as the one I bought last time finally petered out after 7 months but for only $33 with the cost of new batteries being what they are this place is well worth it.

Don't pay attention to the redneck above who is completely full of crap. This place sells used…read morebatteries and will trade in dead ones for a good used battery. I had a situation where I needed a battery asap and money was short so I searched for a place that sold used batteries. I ended up finding sunset battery warehouse, its a hole in the wall type of place very old but the point is I was looking for a battery not a beauty salon. I met the owner who is an older caucasian male who worked with some hispanics in the shop and quickly assisted me in finding me a replacement battery. Of coursed I am buying a used battery so I wasn't expecting a long lasting battery but what I got for 25 bucks was a battery that has lasted me over half a year now and I have traded in other batteries that have lasted me the same if not more. I highly recommend this place if you are short on funds, and looking for something good that will last you a couple months. Perry B. is just a racist lunatic that does not even have an idea on what hes talking about. Who writes a life long story on how their experience at a used car battery place was so bad, poor baby I am so sorry life has been so hard for you. Cry me a river.

Great customer service. The store manager personally took my question. He showed me that another…read morerepair supply was wrong. I'm kinda handicapped and have to use a mobility scooter. He showed that my battery charger was in great shape.

I wasn't planning on writing a review for this business but I got to thinking about this one…read moreemployee that works here at this Batteries Plus Bulbs. Originally it was called Batteries Plus, and a while back it changed its name. The only reason I bring up this particular employee is he has been working here for a long time. I don't know his name and have never asked for his name either. I will give you on example of what I noticed today and it caught my attention. Now mind you I had to replace a battery of a vintage watch from the 50's or 60's. I handed over the battery to the employee at the counter. He looks at the battery and was unsure of the particular battery that was in stock, so he asked his colleague behind the other counter, if they carried this one particular battery. So without looking he shouts out the number of the battery that replaces it without having to see the battery. Now why do I mention this? To be honest I was impressed with this employee's knowledge of their products. I know this sounds silly to notice something that is trivial to others but to me it makes a big difference. I come here only because if I try and look for what I need at a drugstore chances are they won't have it and it's always a hit and miss at the drugstores. So I may pay a little bit more here, they have always had what I need. What I am trying to relay here is that during these troubling times of finding good employees it is always a breath of fresh air to see someone care about their job and know their job as well as the unknown name person behind the hidden counter. Doesn't hurt to once in a while appreciate people for what they do. Nothing is trivial when noticing a good work employee.

All the local mechanics know about this place, and if you own a car, ESPECIALLY an older model car,…read moreyou NEED to know about this place too. Penny Pincher has saved us not one, not two, but at least THREE times or more, when one of our cars broke down and we needed a part that all of the regular retail chain auto parts stores said had to be "special ordered". Penny Pincher always has the parts we need in stock and always at a much lower price than those chain auto parts stores quote. Need an example? Two days ago, our older Honda Civic blew a wheel bearing while driving on the 101. None of the chain retail auto supply stores had it in stock, but told us they could special order it for $15 and that it would take days to get it. Penny Pincher had it IN STOCK for $3. A day later, we were back on the road! Thank you Penny Pincher! Lots of professional and DIY mechanics come here, so the place is always very busy. Customer service can be great or bad, depending on who you get, but out of the many times that I've dealt with PP, only once did I deal with a rude employee (he was disciplined by the manager later) and the other time, they gave me the wrong part and although they fixed their mixup without complaint, it was annoying to have to wait in that long line, so make sure you have the right part before you leave the store!

Prices....especially since auto zone and O'Reilly are 80% remanufactured parts too. Why pay more?read more
