They sold us a battery but then figured out they misplaced the tools to do the install. Sent us to the O'Fallon Autozone with the uninstalled battery and apologies. When we arrived there, we learned they sold us the wrong battery too. Luckily the O'Fallon store was a bit more on top of things and got everything fixed for us pretty quickly. Given the experience at the Fairview Heights store, probably won't return.

Not wanting to take a chance with a 740 mile drive ahead of me, I looked up the highest rated ASE Mechanic in the area and that was Bruce's Auto Repair. Although he was swamped with business, the owner took time to test drive my car and tighten some things up, so I could safely get back home and have my local ASE mechanic check it out. While he didn't charge me despite my protests, I'd say that by the number of cars being repaired or waiting to be repaired his rates are reasonable. I'm back in LA now, but If I still lived in the O'Fallon, IL area, Bruce's Auto Repair would definitely be my mechanic!
