My husband and I cannot say enough good things about Stephens Automotive. They are a highly…read moreprofessional group who helped us out immensely. We are from South Georgia. We broke down on our way to Arkansas. We were meeting up with family members also going camping in Arkansas. Our daughter and her family lives in Lizella right outside of Macon. Our truck pulling a 38' camper broke down. Engine lights flashing, gauges overheating. Well you get the picture. Our daughter-in-law recommended a place down the street from their house called Stephens Automotive. We came in limping late Thursday to Arrowhead campground. While we were parking our daughter-in-law went down the road to talk to Stephens. She explained our situation. We were to leave with the group at 5AM Friday. Surprisingly the owner/ manager said to come on over. They would look at our truck. You NEVER get a place to see you if 1- show up on short notice, 2- have deadline, 3- have never met or done business with, 4- around closing time and 5- present them with no chance of repeat business. These wonderful people took our truck, hunted down the parts we needed, and made repairs. In less than 24 hours we were back on the road to Arkansas. If you ever need mechanical assistance go to this local shop. The work is top notch. The staff from the front desk to the mechanics in the back are knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to go the extra mile on your behalf.

Long wait Stopped in due to some noise while driving. I knew…read moreI needed tires but it seemed more mechanical (axle) than tire related. After waiting all day for a check they told me tires were the issue. I already had tires on order elsewhere so said I'd stop back if it persisted. Got the tires swapped and it still had the noise so I came back the next day. Waited all day for them to take a look and they didn't get to it. The desk guy suggested that I take it elsewhere as he (personally) thought it may be transmission related. Took it to another local shop and it indeed was the axle. Just disappointed that they really didn't take the time to look at it after having it sit for two days. Gladly would have paid for their time. Maybe they just don't want work beyond tires and oil changes? Who knows.

I absolutely loved this place! We were only in the area for the night and while my boyfriend and I…read morewere headed to dinner, i and my wonderful driving skills hit a curb pretty badly and needed two tires. Since I was headed back to Atlanta the following morning, I called around the area for pricing for two tires. One place was trying charge me 390$ another 290$, both with at least a 2-3 hour wait (I know I don't know much at all about cars and typical prices but I felt that was pretty steep)... finally I called Grant's and was quoted $196 for everything for two brand new tires and since they didn't have the tires in stock (no place did), it was only gonna take about 2 hours tops for delivery and everything. They got me in and out in no time and I was back on the road by 12p after calling around 1015a. Thanks so much to everyone at Grants!

My experience with this establishment has been excellent…read more I initially was referred by the local O'reilly to this establishment. Initially, the issue with my car was thought to relate to the alternator. The manager of this establishment did a fantastic job of diagnosing the issue as an issue of dirty connections to the battery rather than an issue with the alternator. I was not only grateful that the experts at this shop such as Mark and James were honest with me, but they also took the time to clean my battery connections and add protectant free of charge. Their diagnosis currently holds ground, as my car is running perfectly after the cleaning!
