These guys do my annual inspections (3 cars) and I have been going there for years. Always…read morecourteous, friendly and responsive. Never an issue. You need to understand that shops that do state inspections do not make money on an inspection. By default, all these shops will go through the obvious and inspect other areas (fluids and quality of, brakes, etc, etc,) and provide an opinion/recommendation as to what they see and recommend servicing (whether there / elsewhere). I am mechanically inclined and do almost all of my own maintenance (timing belt, H20 pump, transmission. brakes, etc). I even plug my own tires when running over the occasional roofing nail (as long as it is not along side-wall). Note: NONE of the chain-type service shops repair tires because of liability. For example, I just had my CX5 serviced at Mazda (was going on trip and they had a $99 special on Synthetic Oil change and tire rotation - and free car wash). I do like to get "some" things done through the dealership I bought the car at (2017) - keeps me in good standing. Their service dept "recommended about $900 of "other" items they think should be considered. I can do most of them myself without issue. I never think of these as always being a "sales-pitch". I see them as data point. A reminder to look at the service manual recommendations and then decide what to do about it.

Seems crazy to do a review for an auto parts store, but then I thought, why not?…read moreI was at the dealership for an oil change recently and they mentioned my battery was very low. Ok. But no, second opinion time because well...let's just say I have trust issues where car dealerships are concerned. Off I go to my trusty Auto one because they've always taken good care of me. Honestly I wasn't sure if my current battery was still under warranty so it was worth checking that first. The nice guy at auto zone checked and my battery was out of warranty so he tested it, replaced it, and I was on my way in record time. These guys know what they are doing and in spite of being short staffed that day he did not rush me and was super friendly to deal with. They will remain my go-to!

Just a shout-out to the folks at AutoZone, at 2709 N. Main St., High Point, NC. We are on…read moreextremely tight budget right now, and then the battery in my 2014 Chevy Sonic died. AAA came out and got it started, and after making some phone calls, my wife found the battery we could afford. We headed for the Auto Zone, and a very nice, pleasant young man (an Air Force veteran) came out in the bitter cold, and quickly installed that battery for us. My wife had had a previous experience with them when I was in the hospital about 12 years ago, and remembered having such a positive experience, she took them some homemade brownies. And apparently, so we could (barely) afford the battery, they had come up with a number of discounts for us. When we need auto parts services from now on, we'll go visit the nice, professional people at that AutoZone. I suggest you should too!
