The box was mangled, I thought I was giving them favors by just bringing the part. He excepted the crappy box. said, well now I can do something with this. Pick another auto store nearby…read more I came in, with two kiddos in tow, for a new battery at 4:30 and talked to a man who checked the charge on our battery. He said "you just need to let your car run for 15 minutes to see if it recharges." So, not wanting to get stranded somewhere, I pulled the kids out of the car and decided to eat dinner at the lovely restaurant next door. We sat outside as the car charged. 15 minutes went by and I turned my car off and restarted it. It seemed to work, although I was hesitant from the previous day's issues, which I had explained to the worker, yet I went along with it because of what the employee said. We finished our food, and got back into the car at 5:50, the battery sputtered and barely started. They were closing at 6, so I went in and said "The battery's not working, can I buy a new one?" The same gentleman said, "Ok. Well it should be ok until tomorrow, we close in 10 minutes so I can't replace your battery." I looked at him, perplexed, and said, "You knew I just sat with my kids and ate dinner next door, to see if it would work, like you suggested?" He said, "Yeah. Sorry. There is nothing I can do." Um... yes there was! How about quickly replacing my battery before you close? How about realizing that potentially getting stranded on the side of the road with two kids sucks? How about that fact that you saw me waiting, per your suggestion? Do you not want my $160.00? I had a friend meet us at our next stop, where I kept my car running for the duration of our stay. I also will NEVER step foot in this location again. I went to the auto parts store in Windham, where they replaced my battery in under 10 minutes.
