Asked me to pay for new battery. I did pay them for a new battery. While I was on my phone, they gave me my watch back, charged me, and said that they have replaced the battery. The watch stopped after two hours. I went there today. And they told me the watch has old seiko factory installed battery. But I bought a new battery from them yesterday and lid for it. So yesterday while I was on my phone, he charged me for new battery, but knowingly on purpose did not out the new battery but put the old battery in. Today the employee/owner told me that he does not have time to discuss this issue with me since he is going for lunch. These people are thieves, they do this intentionally. Dont do any business with them. Their business model is to sell you life time warranty for more money. Knowingly very well that they will not honor it and the customer will be forced to pay again. That's their business model. They know this very well. If you have had the same issues, please post your experience. While I am not worried about the amount. I wanted to bring it to everyone's notice that I did not know that this kind of dishonesty exists today.

I am not one to trash businesses, but my experience at O'Reilly Auto Parts this morning on Story…read moreRd. was very disappointing. While doing a routine oil change, I bought an air filter--their brand, Microgaurd--from this store about a week and a half ago. It was the wrong filter, and I couldn't return it right away because my Jeep was towed (bad alternator). When I did finally get around to returning the filter, and buying the right one, Chris, the store manager, wouldn't take the return without a receipt. Again, this was their mistake to begin with, and it was their brand of filter. Now I get it, his system was not registering the sale of that filter for the past three months, and I didn't have a phone number associated with the sale. But there WAS one of those filters (the wrong one) missing in his system. The long and the short of it is that Chris couldn't make the judgment that I wasn't conducting some elaborate scheme to steal $12 dollars from O'Reilly Auto parts without a receipt. This is an example of being unable to break out of a bureaucratic system and have a relationship with your customers. They made a mistake, I had to return to their store to correct that mistake, and because their system wasn't registering their mistake (again, that is their problem) I am out $12. I know: it's just twelve dollars, and my kids aren't going to starve. But I have already told my friends to stay away from O'Reilly Auto Parts, and I won't shop there again. I'll go somewhere where I can make a joke with the man behind the counter, and where they will treat me less like a thief, and more like a customer. There are plenty of other games in town.

This location has really lost their way in customer service. One employee in particular (won't name…read morehim) is very sarcastic and uninterested in being there, at least it seems that way. I don't suggest leaving him alone to run the store, or trust me, he will chase customers away. Also, I thought O'Reilly's usually offers to help switch out your battery if you purchase a new one? I could be mistaken as maybe that's just an Auto Zone thing. Luckily I know how to do basic work on cars. However, I can only imagine if someone like my mother, younger brother or sister went in to buy one. I'll stick with my other O'Reilly's location from now on.
