The focal point of the bakery is of course, the counter. There is a paper ticket system for service on busier days. When I went in, it was quiet so ticket optional. I went for the seasonal maple roll dusted with icing sugar, topped with white chocolate chips and a maple crust. Also took a slice of pear almond tart. They were both $4.50 each. The maple roll was densely packed and so much more than a snack. It's really bready so you could have it for breakfast. Slightly sweet and covered in a light glaze. The tart was light tasting and the pastry was full of buttery goodness. Texture is a little bit interesting because it's a cold tart, the juice from the pears soak into the almond paste and make it a little bit cold and slightly mushy. Some people might not like that but I found it ok. Service is friendly and attentive. Pastries are good but a bit expensive.

The croissants were all amazing. We had some plain, some almond and some chocolate. All were the best of the trip and our entire group agreed. The coffee was wonderful. And they make several different hot chocolates that the kids thought was great. Staff was friendly and patient as we made our decisions. The woman helping us even chatted with my 12 year old who is learning French once she learned we were from out of town and she was practicing her French. Very sweet of her. I have no doubt this place will do well and will be there when we return. We will definitely visit it again. Probably more than once next trip.

She gave us a tea menu where we each chose our teas and were shortly presented with a big teapot each of the tea, gorgeous floral china cups and a mouth-watering two-tier display of fresh sandwich bites, scones, crossaints, lemon macaroons, chocolate bites and buttercream cupcakes! One in our party said it tasted like each croissant had a stick of butter in it - they were that lush ... just like in France. While we only had a mini-rustique bread bun (3 stars the usual) and the almond croissant (5 stars at least), we were delighted in this little bakery. Nice selection of baked goods, they are constantly replenishing the shelves, and you can grab a coffee or hot chocolate to boot. For our go to bakeries, this one would be on top.
