Don't shy away from this place because you hear pub this place has fantastic food and nice inviting atmosphere and the burgers are to die for and they have super Duper giant pretzels and we had them last time they were a real treat, they have a burger that's called the kitchen sink I believe it is phenomenal it's so big you can't get it into your mouth you have to cut it with a knife , i'm not really a drinker but they do have nice drinks if you like to go with your food and it's not a loud Pub so you can actually converse with your friends or family and hear what they have to say the music is loud enough to be enjoyable and the wait staff is very efficient and friendly so again if you're in the area please stop and I think you'll really be surprised . read more

I was surprised at how busy this place was on a Friday at 7pm. Like a line waiting at the door! Food was good, fun atmosphere, and it wasn't so loud that I couldn't hear my friends. Nice prices for the amount of food. I wish I hadn't ordered chicken on my salad though. It was bland and didn't seem to be very fresh. Maybe it was microwaved? I'm not sure. We love coming to O'Hare's! Not only is the service exceptionally friendly, but the food is fantastic. Traditional Irish specialties like Shepherd's Pie and Boxty, great salads, burgers and wings make this a family friendly option that works for even the pickiest eater. First time in but won't be the last. Recently moved to the neighborhood and am very pleased we have a fabulous little Irish pub up the street. Since it was our first trip, we had to try the staples.... Fish and chips and a Reuben. Delicious! Thick cut, generous portion of corned beef, fresh marble eye and oooey gooey swiss. This place is in a quiet strip mall. The inside is small, slightly cramped. There are slot machines that just look like they don't belong and take up floor space. However the place is clean. The bar is nice as well, lots of space. Now the reason I'm giving it three stars. The beer was pricey and there were no specials. Which is odd since the bar takes up most of this place!! For an Irish place I'd suspect them to welcome you in with good deals on booze and sit your ass down! Instead for the type of dining room you're sitting in you should NOT be paying that much for a pint!! The only reason it gets three stars. Our food was amazing!!! The burger was incredible. Stopped by here on a Thursday evening and it was a very busy place with a good vibe. As soon as I walked in I was welcomed by KJ and had a good time making new friends and eating good food. Did takeout while house sitting for friends last weekend. I got a steak sandwich. Wife got Gaelic Steak boxty. Steak was tough and sandwich was flavorless and soggy. The boxty was medium not rare as requested. Further, the entrees appearance was got awful! Literally looked like a plastic vomit gag toy you would buy. Not sure how one would even want to eat something that looks so unappetizing. Soup was mediocre. Soda bread was mediocre. If you want a couple beers, Ohares is fine. Came here on a Saturday about 230pm. No wait for seating. We Over indulged in the Pub Burger and the Chicken boxty. Both were very good. Ask for the chicken Boxty to be well done- as potato was slightly soggy. Typical pub vibe here, all games on the TVs throughout the bar. Server Ken, gives off a feel good vibe. Definitely a do again. SAVE YOUR TIME! The potato leek soup is like ground baby food with burned onions sitting atop of it. The drinks are all mix, they tried to charge me 12.00 for top shelf when it was not a top shelf alcohol drink (MORE LATER). The corned beef and (with non existent) cabbage is...well I cant tell you cause I sent it back at 18.00 I was not eating a part of a plate of food. The waitress took it back to the kitchen and then came back and said well the chef said we could add cabbage but this was the portion size for years (didn't even bring the more cabbage). Nope, thanks anyway. We asked for a manager and up came a guy who we swore said he was Jose, the executive chef. Telling me this is the standard for their meals. I said Jose a head of cabbage costs 62 cents. Plus I asked for the manager. He said I am the owner and executive chef and pulled a card out of his wallet and slammed it to the table. I responded well that's a shame cause your drinks are horrible we all ordered water as our second drink. He screamed at us...THIS HAS TO STOP- GET OUT! Next as my sister husband and bro in law finished eating, a woman came up and said she was Peggy the owner. I said the chef told us he was the owner, and he was rude. She said well he did say you are a racists. I was like what, why, what happened. I understand you called him Jose. This is the first time I have ever been called a racist for calling someone by a name. People call me the wrong name all the time. She said he said you wanted to leave quickly...(nope didnt happen) thats when I said you no what no problem. I will just put a yelp review out. Thats when I noticed the drink and said to her wait 12.00 for a long island that was not top shelf (that's what the receipt said). She was like Oh did you see them make it with Bartons? Yes I did actually, which is why I know you have Bartons. She adjusted the bill and came back for the credit cards. When my sister told her how insulted she was to be called a racist. She walked away flustered and came right back and tosses our cards on the table. No charge. Who cares I was willing to pay my bill. When the owner of a restaurant Karen's out on you along with her staff you have to wonder how much business they will have and for how long. Meantime I will herald this a soapbox to all sources. This pub/rest is open to the bowling ally next door and loud and small. The host by the way, believes he doesn't need to mask. So that was all I needed to stop me from ever giving them the benefit of any doubts about the food, and quality of service. By the way the first 2 things we tried to order...they were out of or no longer serving, but the waiter didnt even know what they were. By the way what bar/pub has an executive chef???? The service here is absolutely awful. I have been here twice now and both times they were severely understaffed and our food was wrong twice this time. We asked for no sauce( it had a mayonnaise base and my daughter and I are both allergic) and sure enough not only was the sandwich smothered in it but it wasn't even the correct sandwich. Love O'Hare's! Finally we have a good neighborhood bar - they make a point to learn names of their regulars. They are PACKED during happy hour and especially Fridays. Service can be a bit slower when they are busy but everyone is hustling to take care of you. There's plenty of tv's to watch while you're relaxing. All of the food I have tried has been good and they make my drink perfect every time. So happy they came to Bartlett! read more

Ok, Since my last review I've been back at least 4 times! I love the new downtown Bartlett location and although it's still smaller in size it's cozy and fun. The food is fantastic! I think maybe previously we went in on a bad night and just never went back. I decided to stop by here at the new location to see what had changed, and now i'm absolutely hooked! All their food is fresh, delicious and just what you expect and hope an Irish pub would have. The drinks are flowing and every worker and server in the place is more than accommodating! I mean we had to wait 20 minutes for a seat on a busy Friday night and they gave us a complimentary appetizer. Who does that?! Well I guess they do, and just like everything they do it well. I definitely will be going here more in the future, especially when i'm craving a Guinness. Sláinte! read more

Came here for the 2nd time and got the corn beef and cabbage and the steak boxty...soooo good! They cut their corn beef hash in a special way wich is a nice alternative. The service and management here is seriously the worst. We used to love this place when they were at their old location, and we were excited that they were moving literally a few blocks away from our house. However, the service has become so abysmal, it's not worth walking 5 minutes to their location. Let me explain how a once semi regular customer came to this conclusion: the service has been painfully slow, and they consistently are out of many menu items. The first time this happened, we had a good laugh with some neighbors we were dining with and chalked it up to new location woes. However, this happened at least 10+ times since they opened 9 months ago! I'm not exaggerating. One time we dined in with our neighbors after golf, and they were out of 1) wings, 2) Reuben bites, 3) pretzels and a few meal items (I can't specifically remember the other items). We ended up having to ask what they did have to order. The other sore spot is take out.....1 out of every 2 orders has something wrong, from something benign (but irritating) as missing soda bread on soup orders, to missing menu items altogether. The last straw today was that we had some neighbors dining in that we asked if they'd be willing to bring some carry-out back for us. Despite them telling us it wasn't busy, I called 5x over 30 minutes and got no answer. Apparently, they're doing so well that they can now turn away customers. As you can tell from the above, we kept trying OHares over and over again despite increasingly horrendous service because the food is good, but seriously, its not that good. There's only so much one can continue to tolerate. We ended up ordering Moretti's tonight, because they deliver and know how to operate a business. We'll make sure to limit any local dining to The Still, TLs, and V&Vs...basically, anywhere other than O'Hares. read more

This place is sooooooooooo good. I went with my girlfriend and we both got burgers. They have this Jameson Whiskey sauce that is like crack so drug addicts stay away (more for me). The sauce was great on the burger and perfect for dipping your fries in. I had to get extra, extra sauce. The service was great. Our waitress did an excellent job following up with us to see if we needed anything. I would definitely recommend and will be coming back to this place. For dessert we got the salted caramel brownie and that was on point. Overall this place was better than what I was expecting. Don't know where the recent good reviews come from. Can't be for the food or the interior, that's for sure. I give: 1 star for the place being clean. 1 star for the waitress being nice and friendly and the beer being alright. Not more because: With a group we had a number of different dishes - all mediocre. Salmon which requires a knife to cut it? Then you know the cook is doing something wrong. Pork chop being dry? How can this go wrong? Shepard's pie being pretty tasteless - how difficult is it to get this right? So the food is at the best nothing to write home about. Seriously it's not a reason to choose this place. Draft beers are okay. Interior is boring. Doesn't have much of an Irish pub feeling - at least if you ever had the chance to pay a real one a visit to compare. Service was friendly, but food served very slow. We've been coming here since it was at its old location. Its a bar with really good food and a lot of Irish Flair. Their prices are reasonable at all hours and happy hour prices are awesome (and goes to 6pm Monday through Thursday). 50c wing nights are amazing, these are large wings and the sauces are really good. Other than the wings, the food is great, a combination of bar food and Irish dishes. I've never had anything I've regretted. The holiday themed specials have always been delicious. This isn't a chain restaurant so when I see the reviews of people crying about not getting credited for food they ordered and the only thing wrong with it was being 'too spicy' for them to handle it makes me cringe. The wait staff is super friendly and personable so if you're not sure about the menu items just ask, they can't read minds. My only complaint is they just stopped doing happy hour on Fridays which sucks, I wish they at least knocked it down to 5pm instead of getting rid of it all together! It is understandable though, the place isn't big enough to let those people who lounge forever milking their half-price beer well after the happy hour to sit around. read more

Never coming back. They charge cover fees for their bands that play in the bar without advising their customers of the cost. The manager/owner fought with us over this fee explaining we "should've" known there was a fee since a band was playing. I guess a new bar will be taking their place soon. Go to mc maes down the street at 59 and Stearns....its a much better bar and they treat their customers great! read more
