This worried me bit since we speak very little french, but it worked out well since some of the other couples spoke vary levels of English. Thankfully, we were on the English language tour of the house when most of these were delivered. The food was very good! I was not terribly excited when our hostess explained wigs would be supplied for everyone to wear when the band played, but it turned out to be very fun. The band played mostly 80s and 90s America rock songs. The location felt a bit rural, but this seems reasonable considering it's former use. The reality is that it is only about a 15 minute drive from downtown Malbaie (assuming decent weather). Considering how freely alcohol seems to flow here (also reasonable considering its former use), it may be a good idea to call a taxi. I think there is also a shuttle that can be taken. Overall, my only criticism is that the meal seemed a little overpriced, but if you consider you are paying extra to have a unique dinner experience in this historic location, it seems reasonable. I would likely not return for just dinner, but I would certainly come back with others that have never visited.
