I took it to two other mechanics they all agreed not only was it NOT the timing chain but that the timing chain is in excellent condition. It was simply a vacuum component. When I returned to this shop, Full Circle, Michael restated that it was the timing belt and he knew this because he heard it before replacing my valve. I asked him did he hear it after replacing the valve he said he didn't listen for it. No way! You don't look over your work after completing it. He said my car was going to break down if I didn't fix it. He also recommended I replace my breaks and tires which are barely eighteen months old. TRUST ME, you do not want to take your car here.

They had the car less than 90 minutes and phoned me to tell me it was done. On 09AUG, while driving in New York on vacation, the front driver wheel came off the car and we skidded to a stop. Luckily, no one was hurt and the only damage is to my car. The Firestone in Clifton Park, NY put the blame on shoddy workmanship and repaired the wheel and control arms at no cost to me. They told me that the Fairview Heights Firestone would arrange for the body damage to be done. Instead, I was pushed off to Firestone Corporate who are demanding I sign an agreement (indemnification, non-disclosure, non-disparagement, etc.) before they would pay damages and other associated expenses. So I guess we'll be going to small claims court for relief.

I asked if I could watch the installation from outside the shop area, and he explained that as long as I stayed behind the chained-off area outside the garage, it was fine. He even allowed me to borrow a plastic chair so I could sit while watching, which I appreciated. About five minutes later, another employee named Henry approached me in a very aggressive and rude manner. Without first asking or speaking respectfully, he loudly said, "Aw nah man, you can't be sitting out here with that chair like that, it's going to get all wet." At the time, I was completely covered by the overhead shelter near the garage doors and it was not raining on the chair at all. Caught off guard by how I was approached, I responded, "Really?" Henry then replied, "Yeah, the others are just too scared to tell you," referring to his coworkers. He then took the chair away abruptly while walking off. As I responded "wow" in disbelief at how the situation was handled, he eventually said "sorry," which made it seem like he may have realized afterward that he had handled the interaction poorly. I want to make it clear that Heath was great throughout the process and represented excellent customer service. Unfortunately, the interaction with Henry left a very negative impression and completely changed the experience. As someone who had recently returned from deployment, I was disappointed to be treated in such an unnecessarily hostile and disrespectful manner over something that had already been approved by another employee. Overall, I hope this feedback is taken constructively so future customers are treated with more professionalism and respect.
