I appreciate that she was proactive in the resolution of this issue and I may return at some point as it is very close to my home and they do a good job cleaning my items. ____________________________________________________________ I've been going to this dry cleaner for years and even used their alterations services. I know they overcharge and it figure it's close to my apartment, it's easy so I let it go. A few years ago, I stopped going to them for hemming services as they were charging twice as much as others for straight hems, explaining that they needed to do some special stitch. Fine whatever, I took my hemming needs elsewhere. Last week, I dropped off a wool sweater and a short jacket (the back of the jacket is a knit jersey material and the front has down panels). I got the text noting that my dry cleaning was ready to pick up and my CC was charged $177. FOR TWO ITEMS. Apparently the jacket was $150 to clean - I'm sure I was upcharged as it is a Moncler jacket. Fine, I can let it go. But for a $150 charge for cleaning one item, you would think this would be flagged and noted at drop off? "Are you sure you are okay with the $150 charge?" This is not a normal charge for cleaning a jacket. If this is what they want to charge and people are willing to pay I'm all for it. But what I have an issue with is that they didn't even mention it to the customer so I could make an informed decision and decide to bring my item to another dry cleaner. If I could give ZERO stars I would. Their business practices are shameful and they have lost a customer forever.

Their seamstress permanently damaged two of my designer dresses during alterations. I was very clear, multiple times, about where I wanted the alterations made. Instead, she chose to alter them in different places, cut into the dresses, and sewed them into new spots that I did not approve. The result was not what I asked for, and the damage is not realistically repairable back to the original condition. At first, they acknowledged the issue and told me they would compensate me for the damage. Now, they have completely gone back on that and are ignoring me. After years of being a loyal customer and giving them a significant amount of business, it feels like they were only happy to communicate when I was paying them. They are also one of the most expensive dry cleaners I have ever used, which makes this even more frustrating. For the prices they charge, I would expect professionalism, accountability, and basic care with valuable garments- not unauthorized alterations, permanent damage, and then being ghosted when it comes time to make it right. I would strongly caution anyone from trusting them with anything valuable, sentimental, designer, vintage, or difficult to replace. I regret giving them my business for as long as I did.
