O Bread is understatedly the best Korean bakery cafe in northern VA. The place smells delicious when you walk in. It's a small business, and the food is tasty and favorably priced. Aside from the fact that they use all organic ingredients... i have to say I stand behind them because of their business ethics and customer service. They are apparently limited in certain breads because they bake in a conservation type of manner. They only bake enough to supply for what they might need for the day. In turn.. they donate everything they don't sell that day and start fresh again the next day. I'm big on donation and social responsibility so I was extra elated to hear about this component. I have been to a lot of Asian bakeries in the DC metro area, but this one tops them all. Stumbled across it by accident while visiting H-Mart in Annandale. I noticed the shopping center sign included "Bread Corner", which I am familiar with from Rockville, but it isn't Bread Corner at all, but O Bakery, which is much better. My wife, daughter, and I bought a selection of pastries and breads, and everything has been wonderful--no exceptions. We just had the honey brioche bread this morning for breakfast, and it is out of this world. Better than anything I have had at French bakeries in NYC or anywhere else. The chestnut bread is also incredible, as were various pastries, such as one with red beans. We arrived after 2:30, so a lot of things were already sold out. If those are better than what we bought, I have a hard time imagining how good they must be. Now I know I'll be spending a lot of time in my car driving from Ashburn, but it will be worth it. read more

Any time and every time I visit this place, they are so attentive and always ready to answer your bread-related questions Lol. It's a tad more expensive compared to your other average Korean bakery pastries in Annandale but they have interesting flavors and breads that you don't see around..plus they use organic flour and natural ingredients. I have not had the chance to try their bubble teas yet because the time I tried to order one, the lady that was taking my order said she didn't know how to make it and had to wait for this guy to come back...um okay...lol i'm hoping by now all employees are trained to make drinks. read more

Since I wanted something special and healthy to celebrate my grandson's first birthday, I came here after reading the great reviews. When I saw the Mango Mousse cake it was love at first sight! It was placed in a beautiful box and they included a candle and a strong plastic knife to cut it which is very thoughtful. I had a sample of one of their breads and it was wonderful. Everyone loved the cake. It was delicious. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. I will be going back. read more

Fresh, organic bakery with a mom and pop feel. They didn't have much of a selection when I was there (A Sunday morning/afternoon), but everything I tried and bought was fresh and perfectly sweetened and just amazing. This is my favorite bakery! They use organic flour, and everything is super delicious. I normally don't like cake or icing, but I love their yogurt cakes. Their egg tarts are also delicious and they have an olive bread which is so good with balsamic vinegar and olive oil. The staff are very friendly and helpful, especially this one lady with short hair. My family and I all love this bakery, I would rate more than five stars if I could! read more

Awesome bakery!! They actually make their own breads. I like that they have limited supply of bread per day. Other bakeries will keep/freeze tons of bread and sell it the next day and the next.... I was pleasantly surprised by all the selection. The chou cream bread was the best!! They use real cream and you can taste the difference. They also support local/organic food/meat - they sell it in their fridge! The drinks are just average but the breads are tastier than those you can get from Shilla/Breeze. read more

This bakery is probably the best out of all the bakeries in Annandale. I've been here since they've opened and I always go back for their sandwiches. This place bakes on premises and that's what I like. I've had bad experiences with other Korean bakeries (I ate hair once), but this place it's all been good so far. I loved it!!!! My boyfriend and I stopped by since we live around the neighborhood. I like how welcoming the atmosphere felt and the great customer service provided by the young lady. I really like how they offer free samples. My favorite so far is the mocha cream cheese. There prices are cheap (too me). So, my friend introduced this awesome bakery like 3 years ago. I've been to some other Korean bakeries also, but never enjoyed the desserts like this bakery before! All of their productions are such great qualities and their services are the best. There are some people who are keep posting bad reviews about the bakery but don't look at their posts. It's not worth it. Well, some people might have different opinions than me, but trust me. It's the best bakery in Annandale!!! A fine place tucked into a small shopping area near Annandale. Great variety of goods. The pastries are light and flaky. Some interesting breads - didn't have a chance to try those, so I'll be back. Though O Bread wouldn't be described as a bargain bakery, they have a breathtakingly wide array of baked goods purportedly baked on-site under the banner of organic. Located in a strip mall, under signage that reads as "Bread" (the 'O' seems to be lost in the lighting), it is easy to miss. But wow, great selection of Italian-style savory breads, full baguettes, Asian (apparently Korean) sweet treats, and unique European sweet pastries. Enjoyed a small pair of finger-sized pâte à choux (with a name suggesting coffee flavor), with great creamy filling, crispy crust and flaky interior....for $1.90 (incl. tax). Pleasantly surprised to see attention to detail included slipping in a packet of inedible desiccant to keep the pastry crispy). Overall, a pastry reminiscent of what you see at European bakeries but conveniently found in this strip mall just down from the H Mart. Cap off your great pastry find with Illy coffee. Sadly, only a bit of seating outdoors (a handful of tables) but none indoors. Great to see a very friendly yet unobtrusive staffer in an environment featuring well-chosen jazz music. read more

I had some internal debates posting this review, since I don't want anymore people to compete with for my bread at this place, but O Bread totally deserves 5 stars from me. I first discovered this hidden gem, tucked away in the strip mall, last winter. And ever since then, I've been there countless times to get their pastries and breads. Firstly, everything they have is SUPER fresh! And, it feels redundant to add, but super yummy as well. Here's what's up: Their matcha red bean bread is DA BOMB. It is LITERALLY FILLED to the brim with the matcha and redbean filling. Other places it'll be all bread and a dollop of cream in the middle, but not O Bread they know what's up. Another thing I ALWAYS get, if it's not sold out, is their white bread (or maybe soft white bread? I'm not 100% sure on the name. But it's the long white bread with cream inside). Literally 80% of the time, it'll be sold out, so whenever I find it, I buy 2-3 of them. Their cream bread (which is also super cheap) reminds you of that nostalgic cream bread you had when you were a kid, which pretty similar price as it was back then. Their coconut castella (in the cooler) is also really good. The fruit cake they have is SUPER GOOD too. I literally can't help but recommend EVERYTHING from here. They have a stamp card, 1 stamp for every $20. But guys, to meet that $20 is SO hard, since everything is SUPER CHEAP! I always only see one guy there (Korean guy with glasses and a smile) I don't know if he's the owner (I'm guessing) but he's always super friendly and super knowledgeable. Like I'd ask him Oh what's in this bread? And he'd always know the answer. I haven't tried their drinks, but given how good the breads are, I have no doubt the drinks as amazing too. I saw a poster that they are now doing snowmilk bingsu/bingsoo which I'm definitely getting next time. I can't recommend this place enough! If you love carbs and sugar as much as I do, this is your heaven. Go! Go! Go!!!!! read more

I found this "pearl " by chance. I don't live in the neighborhood, however I'm there often. There's a delightful young man who is always present. I nicknamed him Einstein although he doesn't know. He is charming! And the breads and teas are fresh, yummy and satisfying. I try to purchase something different every time I visit. I used to run in, make a purchase and leave. Olive ciabatta. Perfection. Comes out after 12, sits in basket on corner of table. Perfectly crispy on the outside, slightly gooey chewy on inside. Only thing that could improve it - side of tapenade. read more

Their bread is better all of the than the other Asian bakeries I've been to in Annandale. I was a frequent customer of Manoa, and I have also been to Breeze and Shilla many times. O Bread Bakery's quality is better than all of them. The staff is friendly and accommodating. This is the only bakery I will be coming to from here on out. read more
