There I was told my prescription had not changed and my current glasses were fine. Side note my prescription has been the same for the past 10 years. My insurance will not cover a new pair until February 2026, so we have to pay for them out of pocket. We went into Lenscrafters in North Wales to get a price on a single vision pair of lenses with a set of frames I already had, because we thought they still had a quick processing. They quoted us over $600, with a 10-12 day turnaround time, just for lenses. We walked back out. Their attitudes gave us the impression that they did not want our business. America's Best quoted us around $200, with new frames, high impact lenses, and anti glare coat, but unfortunately could not guarantee they would be completed before my surgery, otherwise we would have purchased from them. Pearl Vision was gracious enough to recommend Plymouth Opticians, which is one of the only places in the area that still has an onsite optical lab. He sat down with us, went over the most affordable options, and said he could have the glasses done before my surgery. I will have a new pair of glasses by Tuesday, they have a three month window if the prescription needs to be tweaked, at no charge (unless the lens requires a prism, then it was $25 at most), and they were around $300. It pays to shop around for the best prices and service, especially if you have to pay out of pocket. I would suggest NOT going to Lenscrafters unless you are absolutely desperate, and have a ton of money to burn.

The prescription expired 11/19 and "according to state law" LensCrafters cannot instal new lenses. BUT had she purchased their protection plan they would replace the lenses using the old prescription. That makes no sense at all. They obviously have good lobbyists in Harrisburg . Thus ended our families 20+ year relationship with LensCrafters and we will be taking our business elsewhere.

He threw away a proprietary screw that matched the rose gold finish of the frames even though it wasn't the problem. After doing the bare minimum, he told me I would need to order a brand new pair...which was definitely not true. After a visit to the good optometrist, they were confused why the child would suggest the need for new frames. Probably because he was a child and didn't know better. The worst and weirdest part: while I was in the store being told nonsense by a checked-out teen, someone walked in with a conceal carry weapon on his hip, looked at us, and walked out. The kid said, "that's the second time today someone with a gun has walked in and out like that." ?????????????????????????????????????????????? No matter how desperate I am, I will never come back to this or any other Visionworks location. Go to a local optometrist instead.

Dr. Clark and his medical staff, the fabulous individuals you are fortunate to see, once you leave the receptionist area. Dr. Clark and his staff of nurses and residents are phenomenal. They are consistently extraordinary, which I attribute to the exceptional leadership, rapport, and fine character of Dr. Clark. Sometimes, there's a disconnect between those who are supposed to schedule, return calls, and cordially welcome you at the reception desk. He's not only a brilliant doctor and surgeon, but an artist at the top of his craft. Far too often, when you call any of the office locations, the call will go to voicemail. Dr. Clark has worked vigorously to correct this, as if it was his own family member experiencing an issue. My recommendation, if the scheduling staff does not return your call, do not wait more than two (2) business days. Call multiple times, state when you left a message, and ask again for the courtesy of a call back. If you're complacent, you may needlessly wait for a return call. Sadly, the scheduling staff, too often, operate with no sense of urgency, nor consideration. My sole mixed experience, by far, is limited to the practice's Collegeville office, where the medical staff is phenomenal, thorough, empathetic, and personable. However, the lone receptionist can be belligerent, and doesn't realize that a receptionist represents the initial impression of any business, as the person "behind the front desk" is the first person a patient, client, guest, or customer interacts with. The wonderful nurse with a fabulous demeanor, that provided all measurements of my eyes, was as sweet, efficient, professional, kind, and courteous as anyone could expect. I cannot praise her service enough. This practice affords patients the latest technology for examining your eyes; it's truly amazing. The consistent service that the highly professional, and cordial medical staff utilizes to provide the most effective, and efficient care is exceptional. There are few physicians I've ever encountered that are finer in the Ophthalmology field akin to Dr. Clark! He has compassion, empathy, and remarkable communication, and people skills. My insurance changed also, (early retirement), and in addition to this I had moved further away from Lansdale. I attempted to get my much needed new glasses and prescription handled by Walmart due to my changed circumstances and while the staff there was very nice, I could not adjust to the glasses at all and in the end received a full refund, but of course lost the cost of the eye exam. I am returning to Dr Bierman, because I am confident in his ability to provide me with appropriate eyewear...his skills to far beyond any vision care I have ever received in the past.
