Came here on a Sunday desperate for help fixing a pair of Calvin Kleins. They had 1 person working: a teenager who didn't seem to know anything. He threw away a proprietary screw that matched the rose gold finish of the frames even though it wasn't the problem. After doing the bare minimum, he told me I would need to order a brand new pair...which was definitely not true. After a visit to the good optometrist, they were confused why the child would suggest the need for new frames. Probably because he was a child and didn't know better. The worst and weirdest part: while I was in the store being told nonsense by a checked-out teen, someone walked in with a conceal carry weapon on his hip, looked at us, and walked out. The kid said, "that's the second time today someone with a gun has walked in and out like that." ?????????????????????????????????????????????? No matter how desperate I am, I will never come back to this or any other Visionworks location. Go to a local optometrist instead. read more

John, Hassan, Aliyah were all extremely helpful and were happy to assist. John and Aliyah helped me pick my frames (I had it narrowed down to 4) and Hassan did the various tests and measurements before I saw the doctor. Great place, highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Visionworks at Montgomery Mall for several years. Last week I had an eye exam and also ordered new glasses. Maurice assisted me with my order and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable as well as very pleasant to deal with. After I was finished I pulled my non-prescription sunglasses out and he noticed that the side piece was loose. He tightened both sides and also cleaned the lenses for me! Above and beyond! great service. Let me also say that at my exam a year ago the Dr took pictures of my eyes, saw something concerning and sent me to a retinal surgeon who discovered a cancerous tumor in my eye! Visionworks is by far the most incompetent, poor quality business I have ever had the displeasure of experiencing twice over a 3 year period. After my first visit (eye exam only) my experience with the rude, hurried, condescending Optometrist was so bad, I refused to even consider purchasing glasses and contacts there. Recently, I went elsewhere for an exam and then to Visionworks for glasses. I have received a text message and an email message telling me my order was ready, went there and it was not ready! Here I am 2 1/2 weeks later and no progress on obtaining the glasses of which they had no problem charging my credit card for immediately!!!!!! I have called them for the past 5 days in a row, calling at least 4 times a day and waiting on hold anywhere from 15 to 50 minutes and no one ever takes my call. Today in addition to calling my local VIsionworks office 4 times, I also called a corporate/customer service number 3 times AND attempted to obtain assistance from the "online chat" bot that was absolutely NO HELP at all. I should have listened to the horrible reviews, Please, go anywhere but Visionworks. They certainly DO NOT value your business!!!!! read more

This store (of which I bought my last 2 pair of glasses from dating back to 2019. On 6/21/22 this past week, I walked in same store and was told by a young lady sitting down "how can I help you"? Told her I was there to get regular and sunglasses that would be progressive. Her answer to me was "your side is there ( referring to men's frames that were so dirty, I did not care to touch them. I for a cleaner, and she gave me a lens wipe then went back to her desk and sat back down calling someone on the phone. I kid you not.....15mins later she was still on phone so I walked out. DO NOT GO HERE. I would give it negative stars but Yelp makes you chose something. I recently went for an appointment for new contacts as I changed insurance. I was told I needed follow up appointment to check my contact fitting. After that, no one ever called me back. I have tried to call at least 20+ times, all you get is the automated service, and when you ask it to speak to a representative, it hangs up on you due to heavy call volume. I have asked the online system to help, but it also runs you in circles. If you ever want customer service go elsewhere. read more

They called my son's insurance and were listening to the wrong termination date for his insurance and said it was cancelled two years ago even though we used his insurance at another store last year. I called the insurance and said it was eligible. They made my son reschedule his appointment two weeks later. The same thing happened when he got to the store. They never verified before the appointment. They said it's out of their hands. I used to be an optician and I'll tell you I would have had it fixed. The manager and the one employee copped an attitude. I'll be contacting the regional manager at the main office. Very, very unorganized. I ordered trial contacts and received a call the contacts were ready. When I went to pick them up they told me they couldn't find them and would give me a call the following day. I didn't receive a call for 2 days so I called back. They looked up my chart and located the contacts and said I could come in or have someone pick them up for me. My husband went to pick them up only for them to tell him I need an appointment. Why in the three instances my chart was looked at was there no communication I needed an appointment. I have now been 1 week without contacts because of their lack of organization and communication. read more

I have to say and agree with the other poster on here this was probably my best eye glasses purchase experience I have ever had. If i had one issue it is the DO doing the exams (Dave I think?). He was very polite and very professional, but did not bother to explain why he was was recommending a change or why he was recommending the lenses we was suggesting. I mean nothing. It was the basic eye exam, then..."OK I'm going to change your script a bit and then put you in Progressive lenses." When asked zero details, I got "...basically that's how your eyes are changing and I think you would do good with progressive lenses." I had no idea what progressive lenses were. Now...onto the good stuff - Their Customer Service Dave walked me out front and introduced me to Amanda. This person knows her stuff and she was able to explain everything clearly and in detail. First she explained the differences between lenses, pricing, coating, should I go thru my benefits or use their coupons to get the best deal ,etc. I mean Everything. She then took the time to gather roughly 12-14 sets of glasses for me to review and pick the best set that was good for me. The VisionWorks in North Wales is great. They would have gotten a 5 if the OD was a bit more descriptive. Even if they have it set up where he does all of the exams and the team on the floor does all the explanation I still think having him more involved with the process and care would go along way. read more

I have been going to this store for about a year. The process is quick and easy. I was in for my annual exam on 7/24/18 along with some of my family. We were examined quickly and on time. We were able to browse easily to choose the frames we liked. In addition, I have a pair of sunglasses that required some tightening with a special tool. The gentleman was very helpful in securing my favorite pair of sunglasses and said that he would have no problem helping me with them again. Awesome! read more

Eye exam with Dr. Kulich was very frustrating. My concern was blurry vision with my glasses, and yet he gave me the exact same prescription. He could not say, hello. I asked him twice if my prescription was worse or different, and he refused to answer me. I asked for my PD, and he refused, telling me that I shouldn't order glasses online. It was a waste of my 'out of pocket' money, as I need to go else where for another exam. I do NOT recommend his services. read more

I was waiting for about 5 mins when someone came to say my 10 minute window is over and I'll have to reschedule for next week. I just want to buy glasses. I will start by saying that my initial experience was fine- neither good nor bad. The doctor was okay, the fitting was normal, selection okay, service very average. It was once I had a problem, granted not a traditional problem, that my experience became something I consider review worthy. I moved to Canada the day after picking up my glasses. Once there I discovered that my new lenses did not fit my new frames properly and wiggled. I called and explained the situation. Due to good timing my in laws were going to be able to return the glasses for me at which time they were supposed to pick up a new pair for me. The new pair wasn't ready, not even ordered when my in laws arrived in store with my "old" pair. I called and Kate (manager) explained that now they would order them and ship them to me. Fine. After I hadn't received them 22 days later I called again, it turns out the glasses were in the store waiting to be picked up. They had not been shipped and no one had contacted me about them. Again I was told they would ship them. 12 days later I called for a third time. The glasses are still at the store. Their excuse this time was they needed to figure out the shipping label to have them go through customs. Again, no one had called me. Now my in laws will pick them up and bring them over the holidays. I will have been without my glasses for 72 days by the time I get them. My need was unusual but it all began because the job wasn't done right the first time and worsened by a lack of communication and commitment to getting the job done. The optomerist was very pleasant and the staff in the showroom are friendly, helpful, and not pushy if you just need some space to browse. The whole process was pretty flawless. The worse!!! Stay away!!! Didn't give a case or wipes for my daughters glasses. Gave me a hassle when I asked for them. Scheduled an appt to get fitted for contacts and came 2 mins late she said she can't do the training whatever happened to the 15 min grace period? I work in a dental office and if a patient came 15 mins late we'd still do the full appt because we understand things happen. They seriously need to work on their customer service skills. read more

I have been wearing glasses and contacts for almost 20 years now. My experience at the Montgomeryville Visionworks, far exceeded all of those that I had at (many) other places in the past. I have gone to companies Lens Crafters and Pearle Vision, as well as a couple private practices and Visionworks was all around better. They had better customer service, better selection, and better prices. They took a lot of time to explain everything to me, never did I feel like I was dealing with a sales person and they took the time to sit down and break down my options to ensure that I got the best deal. By doing this they saved me a couple hundred dollars! I would recommend this place to anyone! read more

When I found out that Walmart no longer accepts my insurance I searched for a bit to see who would. I was told to call vision works. I called three locations before I could make an appointment. However, each one I spoke to was very courteous! They each gave me info for another location that would have an earlier date than I had asked for. I was on my last pair of contacts(my fault) and I needed an appointment quickly! Once I made my appointment at this location they were great! They explained the cost of my contact lense evaluation and put my mind at ease! I went today and was seen right away. I showed up 10 min early and was out of there in 30 min flat! I only paid $40 for my evaluation(which is a great price) compared to private practice and America's best! The tech made sure to listen to my concerns about previous brands and also explained what brands would be a good fit based on the cost of each box. I have come onto very hard times this past month and new contacts were a must for me! I had such a great experience! The team here is very professional and quick! read more

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE - DO NOT GO HERE! Honestly - they deserve zero stars. The first doctor I saw made a typo on my prescription. Because of this, the wrong contacts were ordered. I ended up catching their mistake. When I called to sort things out, the girl on the phone acted like I had no idea what I was talking about and made me come back in for a recheck. I went in for another exam only to be told by another doctor that a typo in fact had been made and this could have been fixed over the phone. A new set of contacts were ordered for me and when I went to pick them up they were STILL wrong. Once again, I was treated like I had no idea what I was talking about when in fact the people at the store made more mistakes. While there, it was realized that the second doctor who I saw also made a typo/mistake on the "new" prescription, so the wrong contacts were ordered AGAIN. TWO doctors made typos/mistakes to my prescription. I was without contacts for multiple weeks and back and forth to the store numerous times. Absolutely ridiculous. Huge inconvenience to me, and the people at the store acted like they did nothing wrong and that they were right during this whole experience. read more

Wouldn't recommend this store at all. Went in to look for glasses for my daughter and was told where the kids frames were. That's it. No one asked if I needed help or how I was making out. I had to track someone down to let them know I was finished looking, and all this woman did was point to an empty table (??) I go over with my daughter with the frames we picked and sit down as another employee wipes the table down. After she was done, I was assuming she was coming back so we waited. And waited. I finally gave up trying to rely on any help from anyone who is getting paid to be there, and started trying the glasses on with my kid myself. As with any business, masks were required, which myself and my 4 year old had on. As we're at the table and my daughter is putting frames on, she's pulling her mask under her chin so we can actually see what they look like on her face. Nobody else in the store is near us. We are alone at this table. After 2 pairs, the rude "pointer" comes up to us and all she says is that my kid needs to keep her mask on. Not "do you need any help?" I said, but I can't see what they look like on her face and nobody is around us. All she did was repeat herself, and I finally had it and told her then I guess I'm not buying from you since I'm not spending hundreds of dollars on glasses that I have no idea what they look like on her face! All she did was smile and shrugged her shoulders. Ever since then I haven't been recommending this place to anyone. I have no issue with wearing a mask, but this place was ridiculous. Then just don't be open during a pandemic if you're going to bully a 4 year old about pulling her mask down for 15 seconds! That night I wrote an email about my experience to the vision works customer service. They asked for my phone number and told me the store manager would be in contact with me. Excellent service experience. The optometry doctors are very helpful and pleasant. The receptionist and staff were friendly and attentive to details. The office staff went above and beyond to accommodate my hectic schedule for replacement of lenses by taking care of all details for drop off and pickup at a time and location most convenient for me . My examination was completed by Dr. Capecci, who spent just the right amount of time explaining her findings and recommendations. I highly recommend this location. read more

Very bad. I've been wearing glasses for 30+ years. This was one of the worst experiences. The Dr was ok, abrupt and rushed but competent. The rest of the staff left a lot to be desired. The two front end people were horrible. The receptionist / salesperson mumbles or has a speech impediment. Please take the time to enunciate if I have to constantly ask you to repeat yourself and speak louder you have an issue. Especially when you're handling part of the exam. I'd like to understand what your doing to my eyes! The other sales person was slick. I did not want to buy my glasses here he tried to convince me to buy my glasses and upgrade them. So the cost would have been 300-400 for the pair. When I was hesitant he offered financing. That's great if you need it, but I felt harassed and just left. read more

literally the worst experience ever. I ordered new glasses back at the beginning or Feb. 2020. glasses came in and during the fitting the individual took the lenses out of the frame and took about 30min to get the Left lens back in resulting in unsymmetrical look that look ridiculous. I took them back the next day and they said they would reorder and they should be in the next day. 1 week later and multiple calls no glasses and store closed for COVID-19. 3 mths later I called to see if my glasses had come in. The store said they had been shipped to my house?? and if had not recived them by now they would have to reorder again (pair # 3). 3 weeks at least 10 unanswered calls and i drove to the store and they handed me what looked like the same pair of glasses that had been bent over 5 mths ago. did not noticed till I put them on with out my contacts in and was like WTF!!! My husband ordered an extra pair of glasses online because he doesn't have time to go into the store. Well the glasses weren't fitting right so he had to go in anyway to have them adjusted. The woman (who later I learned is the manager when I called to complain) was so snarky and rude. She belittled my husband as he was trying to explain was was wrong with the fit. She was making us feel bad for ordering them online even though this is a service that Visionworks provides. I was shocked by how disrespectful she was. When he said "they don't feel right, they just, (and he paused) do you know what I mean?" She said "no, I don't know what they just don't Dot Dot Dot means". She actually said the dot dot dot because of him pausing while trying to explain. When I called the next day to ask for a manager and complain, it was her that took the call. When I told her how we felt, she clearly was not concerned and I let her know that. She didn't even have anything to say except "I'm sorry" with a very unconvincing voice. When I commented that she really did not seem to feel bad at all because her tone was so insincere, she said nothing. I don't know how she has became the manager of this store, but she clearly should not be in charge. They have lost three customers between my husband and myself as well as my mother who was about to switch to them. Do not go to this visionworks ever! read more

The doctor was great but the service here is horrible. They gave me a run around on when my contacts would be arriving. Amanda is so rude. She's even rude to other employees while having customers right in front of her. They lied saying they called me in the morning to let me know my contacts were in... They never called!
