We were staying at Casa Soure above the restaurant, so we decided to try this restaurant and the food was so amazing. We were looking to try some of the red meat Alentejo is known for, and we ordered black pork ribs with asparagus migas as well as the dry aged T-bone steak.
The pork ribs were perfectly grilled with a nice charred flavor. Salty and so tender and juicy, they went with the light asparagus migas. The T-bone was a little bit of a splurge, but it was absolutely gigantic and one of the best pieces of beef I've ever had. The meat was only lightly seared and salted on the top allowing you to taste the fresh beef flavor of the steak. The red meat was more tender than a filet mignon and the fat was like butter with a great funky flavor.
For dessert we ordered Sericaia what plum ice cream. Made from eggs and flour with a texture similar to a soufflé cake, it went really well with the tart ice cream. read more
