He's a true people person who actually listens and understands how I learn, then adjusts his teaching to match. That made every lesson productive and comfortable. He's knowledgeable, calm, and safety focused, and the way he explains things makes challenging concepts much easier to understand. I was able to earn my Private Pilot License with Ben, and I'm now continuing my training with him as I work toward my IFR rating. His briefings and debriefs are always thorough and constructive, and I never feel rushed or talked over. Everyone else I've met at Leopard Aviation has also been awesome. The other instructors, including Logan, are always friendly and take the time to say hi when I walk in, which genuinely makes me want to keep coming back. I'd highly recommend Leopard Aviation to anyone looking for high quality instruction in a welcoming, professional environment.

Note that their Redbird is a BATD so read your Instrument rating ACS table to SEE the limited items a BATD is FAA approved to DO and COUNT for...rating and otherwise...like NO IPC's...a BATD does none of that. Next, my first visit we talked about their Aztec twin which does not often fly...and that the only MEI allowed to instruct in it is the boss/the owner...He is a high time airline pilot. My visit days ago "we sold the Aztec we have NO plan to buy or lease or in any way add/bring on ANY twin again". So no multi ratings and no multi recurrency like 3 multi engine landings to be 90 day multi current. Right now in the valley, this is common. AT KCHD same story, Chandler Air Service has a Aztec but it's been in a major annual for updates too for over a year and their (a week ago) Chief flight instructor says it'll be in it's 1+ year of annual a lot longer...Few schools have a twin and none have a REAL twin- over 200hp and conventional spin props...So if you hope to fly a Gulfstream or a Challenger jet FAR91 or FAR135 forget that. No good operator of FAR91 or FAR135 high end jets wants a pilot who cannot handle a engine out when it's 250 or 350hp and the props are conventional ie: both spin the same direction....so that Vmc is a big deal...Like is the case with a Aztec or Baron or CE310...or a Chieftain...If you are skilled at engine out in such twins, you will be considered for a SIC job with a operator with Lears and Falcons and maybe a older Gulfstream...Other than you buddy being the owner or Chief pilot of the jet, no, you won't get the job with Duchess or Seminole or Twin Comanche hours...not going to happen. 2025 folks

Upon arrival, the hotel front desk clerk told us to take a seat and someone would be with us shortly. The Instructor met us with a proper introduction. We informed him this was for our 8 year old grandson, who happens to be very bright. He acknowledged and we were escorted to the sim room, which was very disappointing. It was a hotel room loosely which was converted into a simulated cock pit. It was not realistic, more like an arcade type game. The instruction and interaction was minimal. My grandson was given 3 tips on how to fly the plane. Very little conversation or interaction between the Instructor and my grandson took place. Very disappointed with the entire experience. My husband ran an ATC sim room at Sky Harbor Airport and is very well versed in flight simulators. This missed the mark, don't waste your money.

We purchase our first brand new van from them and have over the last year and a half spent thousands on car rentals because it is always in the shop and they do not provide any services. Our complete electrical system is shot and will tell us all kinds of things. Sometimes we cannot get the van to start; sometimes no lights; no back up camera; doors don't shut and so on. I've had great experiences, expectations have been exceeded, my instructors are professional and extremely knowledgeable. Easy access to DPE's which has saved me a lot of time and stress. I've heard horror stories from other people who have gone to some of the larger schools, and I'm lucky that I can't relate. Planes are maintained really well, great avionics, safe environment to learn. I've never felt pressured to do a flight that I wasn't comfortable with while still safely expanding my limits. I love that they tailor every part of the process to the individual. My instructors, Riggs, Andrew and Kyle are top notch. Even instructors that aren't assigned to work with me are willing to help and answer questions. Alex is my go to whenever I have a question! She is probably the most knowledgeable pilot I've ever met. I can't imagine where I would be in my aviation journey if I hadn't taken a second to look at the reviews. I'm so grateful I ended up at American Flyers!

I am very pleased to say his safety and comfortability in the water improved greatly over the course of his lessons! We will be doing another semester this summer just to allow him more time to build upon the skills he has learned. Overall, our experience with Kidtastics has been great and we would highly recommend them and Taydem!

We had an incredible experience with Kidtastics, specifically our instructor Tori Fraga. We decided…read moreto commit to two weeks of 1:1 swim lessons at our home for 2 weeks, (8 lessons, 30 mins each), because despite almost 2 years of weekly group swim lessons at local swim schools, I wasn't confident my 5-year old was truly water safe. I worried about her overconfidence in the pool (thinking she could swim because of the lessons), yet not knowing how to get herself to the side of the pool and out, or swimming without assistance safely. The local swim schools seemed to focus on specific skills like floating on her back and wouldn't target other skills without her doing this, despite her having ear issues that made this very uncomfortable. At the end of the day, that wasn't going to keep her from drowning and I wanted her to be water safe, then start learning strokes. Tori listened to our experience and goals for Michaela and exceeded our expectations. By the end of two weeks, Michaela was not only completely water safe (able to swim to the side of the pool and get out without assistance), but also learned freestyle, backstroke and butterfly, two types of dives and able to dive for items at the bottom of the pool without issue. After the lessons concluded, Michaela swam in our pool for 45 mins with zero support and even practiced strokes and dives. This level of skill would have taken years of weekly lessons and much more money spent in a swim school. This was absolutely worth the investment and daily time commitment for two weeks. Michaela and our whole family adores Tori; her enthusiasm for swimming and teaching was palpable. She built a lasting relationship, connection and impact on Michaela, beyond just advancing her swimming skills. Thank you, Kidtastics and Tori!! We would recommend Kidtastics to any family with a child that has any level of swim goals.

I met with Sawyer Aviation several times to work on a plan to accomplish a multi-engine/ commercial…read moreadd on. I was impressed with the professionalism and how structured the process was. I ended up working with them to get the rating done. Jonathan, the head of the flight school, was the CFI I'd be working with. I'm so glad I did. He was able to teach to my learning style and we worked really well together. We met early and stayed late to get me ready for the check-ride. Coming from northern California, I booked out a week to accomplish the task. Unfortunately, the DA-42 Twin Star broke. A broken fuel injector in one of the engines made it impossible to train in the limited time frame. I had to leave and come back. On my second trip back, the night before the check-ride, I got news of a friends passing in an aviation incident. Thanks to Jonathan's prep, the following day, I was able to pass the oral portion of the check-ride with flying colors and discontinued on the flying portion. I re-booked for a return visit. Upon coming out, the aircraft had an other issue during one of our flights. Sawyer's in house mechanics both times went above and beyond to get the aircraft back in service but the parts needed to be special ordered from Europe. Being in aviation and an aircraft owner, things like this just happen no matter how well an aircraft is maintained. Throughout this process, I was able to witness a side of aviation that most don't get to see. Sawyer's maintenance team rocks and worked their butt off to make sure things are tip top. Even though I wasn't able to finish my multi-engine commercial add on at Sawyer, they did take care of me. Jonathan built a foundation for me to finish a few months later back in northern California and I earned my ratings. I wouldn't hesitate recommending Sawyer Flight academy because not only did they treat me well, they training I received was top notch.
