To whom it may concern, This letter is a formal complaint against Officer ALAMAISI, as well as the 63rd precinct for my intake on July 19th 2020 around 8pm. At approximately 7:30p, I was involved in a traffic collision on the service road of Kings highway off of E 46th Street and Ave J, Brooklyn NY. A driver crashed into the passenger side of my vehicle as well as a parked car nearby. ALAMAISI and another office whose name I was unable to identify arrived at the scene of the accident. During this time I was harassed and verbally abused by the faulted driver. Both officers On the scene did nothing to deescalate the encounter. As I kept a safe distance from the other driver I followed procedure by calling my insurance company. When finishing up my claim over the phone my insurance company asked for the officers name at the scene in order to finish up their report. I approached Office Alamaisi as he was sitting in his vehicle and asked for his name, he refused to provide his name for the insurance company. I was then able to read his name on his uniform and provide customer service the information needed to complete the claim. After reading Alamaisi name aloud over the phone , his demeanor became even more hostile. He blew smoke at me from his e-cigar, and rolled up his window, dismissing me. After what I assumed to be his completion of the incident report, I was arrested and then brought into the precinct for a suspended license. As I was being cuffed he laughed at my arrest, mocking me for a suspension of license . At the scene of the accident I was not alloted the safety that was needed in the face of a threatening driver who was in the wrong. I was not offered medical attention before being taken away. I was taken away without a chance to grab clothing from my car upon my request. I was wearing a beach cover up as I was returning home from the beach before the incident. When I asked that the cuffs be loosen so that I may pull down my skirt to cover my body officer Alamaisi refused. I arrived at the precinct around 8pm and Alamonsi did not take my fingerprints until 11:06pm. I was terrified being alone as the only person/ woman in the cells with male officers roaming the precinct. No mask was offered to protect myself from COVID-19. When asking for a phone call at 9p I wasn't released from the cell until 9:56p to do so. Alamaisi provided my cell phone , and then immediately after Alamaisi snatched my phone from my hand when I was searching for the number to call my father. Officer Alamonsi's exact words were "I said call not text" , then he browsed through my phone and gave me a phone number that was not the number I requested. My father never got my voice message because the number communicated to me was not my fathers. I asked if there was a warrant for my arrest. Officer Alamaisi exact words were "We have to wait for Albany to let us know in order for you to be released." Wouldn't an arresting officer be able to see that there are no warrants for my arrest when the license is run through the database? When mentioning a notice that was posted on the wall about persons being held for 3 hours or more the "supervisor" on duty replied "do you see the date? " I replied "yes that's the date the memorandum was posted 11/2018, however the law is the law and I have been here for 4 hours already. When I made any inquiries about my arrest the supervisor replied "we don't have to rush the paperwork, you want to be friends or give us a hard time. You can be here for 17 hours and 52 minutes and next time it's CAN I PLEASE make a call". As the only prisoner in the precinct I began to feel extremely unsafe and fearful for my life. At every moment of inquiry the officers were deceptive and deflective. I sat in a cell and was held for over six hours in freezing conditions without any undergarments in a revealing beach cover up until 2am. I was released the next day July 20th 2020 at 2am. with a Desk Appearance Ticket. No information was provided to me about the initial car incident . I asked for the report number they told 898 which was short for any reporting number I have ever heard of. I am now sick with a cold, traumatized and at a loss of wages . I was humiliated, I feel violated and completely broken by this ordeal. Alamaisi and other staff members were abusing the law, and I feel used for my arrest for overtime. As well as using their authority to keep me there longer than needed because Alamaisi didn't like our initial meeting at the car crash. UPDATE HE ALSO FALSIFIED A POLICE REPORT read more

This one of the worst precincts I have ever been to. I came there to report a stolen wallet. Like the other commenters had said, there are two black rude ill mannered women at the front desk, when you come in. I asked for assistance for help with my stolen wallet. They replied an officer would have to help me with this issue. I waited over an hour and a half for assistance. Their were many white officers there laughing joking around not doing anything. When I was getting ready to leave they sent a black officer out to assist me. The officer asked me some questions left, I waited another half an hour. I ask the lady at the front desk for an update. She walked away from me, negatively talking about me to the other officers. After that ordeal, I decided to leave when the officer came out with a slip and reciept. Later to find out, the slip and reciept he gave was invalid. My report was never processed. I called the precinct to find more information about my case to have a rude officer scream at me and hang up the phone on me. The amount of unprofessionalism at this precinct is ridiculous from terrible service to the follow up phone call. Many of the white officers at this precinct do not want to help the miniorites in this neighborhood. It's clear as day through their mannerisms, stereotypes, and their inadequate service. I wasted 2 hours of my day for nothing. Now I have to go to another precinct to file this report all over again. Horrible service, I won't be back. read more

I filed a complaint that a car was abandoned with license plates since August 2017. This car has tickets on it. The precinct response via 311, The officers could not " gain entry to the premises". What premises were they attempting to enter???? The car? The call to the 63 Pct resulted in a PO ???, who stated her name twice but mumbled it both times. She could not give a valid excuse why I received such a response. The officers only care when someone is being beaten up. read more

On the early evening (5pm) of 12/4/2018 I was sideswiped by a hit and run TLC vehicle at the intersection of East 53rd St. and Ave S and pushed into oncoming traffic. At least two to three other cars were involved. The Police officers Carter and Mohammed were quick to the scene and took command in an efficient, orderly and courteous manner. They could train their officers to understand the law they are tasked with enforcing. That would be a shocking change. I got a cell phone use ticket by an officer (badge number 938490) because she observed me putting my cell phone back on my dashboard, from where it fell off. I wasn't using it in anyway. No apps were on. I wasn't on the phone or texting. The gps wasn't on. It fell off my dashboard when I turned and I retrieved it before it could fall under my pedals (which has happened before). When I told the officers this - one looked at me and said so? It was observed to be in your hand. Well, yes but not in use. I was merely putting it back from when it fell. The officer issued a summons and told me to appear in court to justify holding a electronic device in my hand. Period. I will gladly appear and produce copies of my cell phone record, showing it wasn't in use. But because your officers don't care about reality and just want to fill their quota, we're going to waste the courts time, my time and the officers time. Absolutely absurd. Even if I was using my phone, which I was not, it would have been a first offense. A ticket or a warning would have sufficed. But no. As a stage IV cancer patient, I will now need to drag myself to court and justify putting my phone back up on my dashboard from when it fell. So completely inappropriate. Meanwhile, these same officers do nothing when I've called with precinct about the drugs and underage drinking on my block or the whore house across the street. Its probably because they are preoccupied giving out bogus cell phone tickets. Unbelievable. Truly appalling. read more
