The charge was 10$ in cash only, if you had a coat on. Mind you this place is in the queens so it took more than 10$ to get here. You couldn't use a card at all for the surprise last minute fee. The rule was anyone who didn't have cash for the fee wasn't allowed inside and anyone who already came in without paying the fee had to be kicked out. Majority of the tickets for the New Years event was marketed and advertised as " Free Before 10pm ". So a large amount of people were expecting to come in for free but nope. After these people stood in line all of that time, they had to go home or find somewhere else after wasting their time in line. The fact that the owner made the decision out of pure greed is disgusting. It's Winter in New York City and you're forcing people to pay 10$ for wearing a coat. The worst part is that this fee didn't exist until the doors opened so literally no one knew about it. Arguments with security broke out over this rule. It's understandable that businesses need profit but this was just a dirty move. Nobody carry's around straight cash in this day in age at that time of night. There wasn't even an ATM around, so if you didn't have cash on you, you basically wasted your time. It was worse on the people who paid for their tickets.

The wife and I had our 30th wedding anniversary this past Saturday at Villa Russo. We had our…read morewedding reception and her retirement party here as well. IF IT IS NOT BROKEN, DO NOT FIX IT. The wife and I walked into Villa Russo to meet with KIM in March of 2025. The wife and I had a vision for the theme of the party. Well let me tell you, Kim had samples AND PICTURES of those samples at ACTUAL events. These things made the decision making so much easier because you did not have to visualize anything. It was already there in pictures. To say that Kim led us by the hand and showed us the way is truly an understatement. We believe she went above and beyond what was necessary. We were a little nervous planning a big event like this. Having Kim alongside us every step of the way was such a relief. Whenever my wife had a question about the event, Kim had an answer. THIS WOMAN KNOWS HER BUSINESS!!! When we arrived for our event, we had Justin who was running the room and Riswan who was assisting him. At bartender, we had the sweetest young lady by the name of Minerva. Minerva knew everything as far as what attendees wanted to drink. She was very quick and sweet. Justin is a superstar. He communicated with me about everything and with the help of our DJay Roger, helped move the party along smoothly. Then you have Riswan. There was nothing he would not do for my family and friends. Upon arriving at Villa Russo, guests were welcomed by an antipasto platter. Super delicious and super gone quickly. Food is the perfect ice breaker. For our salad we chose the Caesar salad. The pasta course was rigatoni a la vodka. A BIG HIT with the guests. For entrees, our guests chose from Shell steak, salmon, chicken francese or eggplant rolatini. Everybody raved about the food and especially the service. If any of our guests needed anything, Justin and Riswan were super quick to respond. The truth is there is not enough space for words to really say how grateful we are to everyone at Villa Russo. From Kim literally taking us by the hand and making our vision a reality. to Justin, Riswan, Minerva and Roger, our Djay, Villa Russo AGAIN, DELIVERED a most memorable night for us all. EVERYONE felt welcomed and had a superb time. The food was fabulous. The ambience was perfect. The night, the most memorable we've had. Thank you so much to everyone at Villa Russo for making our night one to remember. We are truly grateful.

This a Glatt Kosher restaurant thats been around for years. I have had several personal and working relationships with this place. In my teens, my comrade Haimov and I used to be on the "teen night" circuit, bopping our heads and busting out new dance moves to the sounds of Dj Legacy and conveniently crashing a few "Sweet 16" parties... yes I said it, "Sweet 16". Im currently 25, so yea, it was nearly a decade a go... (long SIGH)..GOOD TIMES lol In my waitring days, working with various catering groups, I would find myself working here on sporadic occasions and I remember the owners of the place to be really cool and chilled out. They would feed the waitstaff when asked for it, graciously. Fast Forward to 2014: my older sister decides to have a normal Jewish occasion called a "Brit" :whereby they circumcised the newly born boy and then we TURN UP... im talking G5-G6 airplane dancing . Party was off the chain. I became an uncle. The food was decent and on the upper end of Glatt Kosher food. Some places dont do as good a job. I was able to celebrate with my whole family there with a wonderful new addition to an already big family. The caterers did a great job , in my opionion , good came out at the right time and ppl told.me they were happy with the nights proceedings. The music could have been better though. I like my fair share of buharian throwbacks but yea, it was a bit excessive. Congrats to my big Sis, my Brother in law and awesome Benjy... PS : Im starting to like the Uncle Jack title.....(thinking out loud) ....maybe ill open a steakhouse.

The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff was incredibly attentive. The owners, Rebecca and Yvan, and their team were so helpful and accommodating from start to finish. It can be hard to choose the perfect wedding venue and at first, we weren't sure what to expect. But after our tour, we knew this was the place for us. The outdoor patio area was intimate, warm, and beautiful! We rented space heaters in case, but we didn't end up needing a tent - though My Kitchen can rent a tent if needed. We had the reception outside, with string lights hanging above. It created such a magical atmosphere as the sun set, and the lights added the perfect touch. We had about 40 guests and there was definitely enough space for all of us. Even though parking was limited, guests were able to easily find street parking in the surrounding residential area even on a Saturday night. Overall, we highly recommend this venue - beautiful space, exceptional professionals, and amazing service!
