Mitchell came to my home and we spent hours designing a system including not only all of the typical stuff such as door and window sensors and motion detectors, but also glass break monitors and water alarms for the laundry room and sump pump areas. Mitchell did not "sell" any of this stuff to me. I asked for it and we designed an excellent system together. The reason that I am writing the review today is because this is the first time that I have spoken to Mitchell in over two years. I received an alert on my control pad that a battery was low and I didn't know which device needed the new battery. I called Mitchell on his cell phone. He picked up on the second ring. I had the battery in a drawer and he identified the device and walked me through the battery change over the phone. This tells you a couple of things: 1. The equipment that Mitchell sold to me over 2 years ago works without issue. I literally have had not spoken to him in over 2 years because I have NEVER had a problem. My big problem today was that I needed a new battery. I'm OK with that. 2. Mitchell answers his phone. He is extremely responsive and knowledgeable. Mitchell is a good guy. I initially contacted this business to ask if they sold and programmed car keys, as I had lost one…read moreof my original keys over the years. The owner told me he could both provide and program a replacement. He explained that I could choose an aftermarket key, which might cause a dashboard warning light that should go away, or I could choose an OEM key that he would source from the dealership, which would cost more but would not cause any issues. Wanting to avoid any headaches, I chose the OEM option. Unfortunately, that was not the case. When the key arrived, I scheduled an appointment to have it programmed. At first, everything seemed fine--the remote started the car and unlocked the doors without issue. However, once I drove away, a red key warning light appeared on the dashboard along with a "keyless entry malfunction" message. I immediately contacted the business and was told to give it two weeks and that the issue would resolve itself. Two weeks later, the light was still on. I returned to the shop, and the owner instructed me to disconnect the battery for 15 minutes and reconnect it. I did this and waited another two weeks, but the problem persisted. When I returned again, I was told the issue might be the remote batteries and that I needed to replace them and reintroduce each key--both the original and the newly programmed one--one at a time after disconnecting the battery again. I followed those instructions and spent additional money on new batteries. At this point, nearly two months had passed. Now BOTH remotes(my original and their replacement) function intermittently. If the car does not unlock, I have to manually open the door with the cut key, disconnect and reconnect the battery, and then start the vehicle. I returned to the business and simply asked for a refund for the labor so I could take the key to the dealership and have it programmed correctly. Instead, they refused and I was berated. The interaction was especially upsetting because my toddler was with me at the time. I feel like I got scammed here. I paid for parts and labor, and now I have to go to the dealership to fix the issue they created. Everything ran fine till he started "programming" his remote. I hope others have better luck. UPDATE: 12/23 went to the dealer and fixed the issue. I ended up getting a new remote and a reprogram of all the keys including the original vehicle key(when I purchased the vehicle). I attached a printout from the dealer stating "incorrect component installed" as per their system which was what this business installed and gave me all the issues. So the premium I paid for the "OEM dealer factory" remote/key at the store was not actually all OEM. What a joke. Huge relief the dealer fixed their mess and the remotes work. Should have went to the dealer from the beginning, I would have saved money, a headache and the embarrassment.

I went to Lexington Hardware; the guy told me he has the key which is "almost the same" but no identical. It was too big; it does not go in; i went back to Lexington hardware, the guy polished a little and gave me the money... the key went in tightly.... i think i need to find the same key! so, i searched online; i called Rainbow Locksmith at 338 E 65th street; the guy answered my phone is Joe, he said he has it. i went there.... he found a key but does not say the same things. But Joe told me this is the key!!! I paid big money over $10 with tax; i came back home, checked, it worked very nicely (although it may still be not identical). it is good enough!!!
