Sadly we were desperate, because every company we called weren't available. The place we chose to storage our furniture, while waiting for our new residence to be available gave us this company as a recommendation, which they now regret. It took a few phone calls until I was able to reach the owner of this company Tom. He came out to give us an estimate and appeared plleasant & professional at the time. He arrived on the day of our move on time with four workers. we had coffee and donuts waiting for them when they arrived. At the end of their job we tipped each one including the owner quite generously. They were extremely fast which was a plus I thought at the time. They moved us into a storage unit and I asked if they were satisfied with us as customers would they move us from Storage to our new apartment in October to which Tom agreed. We gave him two dates a couple of days apart and he said he'd reserve both for us. As this move approached my husband and I called Tom and left two messages not to hear back. I then emailed him and he responded he would definitely call me the next day to schedule the move. He never contacted us. As a result we had to extend our stay at the hotel we was staying in as well as extend our storage time. Both extremely costly. We then had to begin looking for another moving company to replace this one. We are very fortunate to have found a responsible company that charged us $400 less than Tom and his crew did. When they began to remove the boxes that were in the front of the storage compartment, covering up damaged furniture ( strategically placed), I witnessed damage to every piece of my two-year-old bedroom set. Now we understand why Tom never called us back. He was probably aware of the damage done to the furniture leaving our old apartment as it was being put into storage. He stated later on that he suggested we check all items before they left, they never suggested this, and to be honest we had no reason to suspect anything because I have never had an issue anytime I moved in the past. This furniture came from the furniture store directly to our home and never left our apartment until it was brought to storage by A-Z Movers. The pictures of the furniture were taken in the storage unit. after attempting to contact him via phone and not getting a reply we emailed him. He email back stating that his company and his men never damaged our furniture. He did not offer an apology nor did he apologize for Inconveniencing us in the way he did. We sent two other emails suggesting he send somebody out to see what they could do with the furniture so that we would not have to take legal actions. He never responded to this. As a result its very obvious that this man does not care about his customers belongings or their feelings. Thank goodness we found an excellent company that were reliable, respondible & professional. Thank God for Economy Movers!! If you value your belongings and can't afford new furniture, stay away from A to Z Movers. We have filed a claim with the Better Business Bureau against them, & we have begun a legal action against them as well. We do not know when this will actually make it to court, so we felt it to be responsible and notify the public to do themselves a favor and stay away from A to Z Movers.

Do not use this company. We arranged a very specific easy…read moremove with a total of 7 items prewrapped. before pick up and specific instructions on calling our house watch 30 min before arrival. They called our house watch 1.5 hrs beforehand and then did not unwrap any items pre wrapped.at the delivery destination. Just left the items in the middle of apt and took the tip. Never asked or tried to assist with anything bedore leaving as most movers do. The manager claims the contract states something to the effect of them NOT unwrapping prewrapped items, althiugh he could not actually tell me what part of the contract actually said that. My daughter had to pay her doormen to help unbox and unwrap large glass table toos/ chairs etc. I have moved 7 times in the last 38 yrs and have never had a company that does not unwrap or unbox previously stored items. There was no partial refund only advice to file a claim.

The house looks new and we couldn't be happier. The loss of one star is due to the fact that when items were moved away from the house so they could spray, they didn't return the items back where they belonged (i.e. An outdoor patio table, BBQ grill, etc.). I hired a company to do this job as I am currently physically unable to do the job myself and having to move these items back to their original location was just something I hadn't anticipated. A few minutes to move these things back would have made a world of difference to me and would have earned them a 5 star rating. Regardless, I highly recommend HVCS and will use them again in the future if needed.
