They were organized, professional and friendly (and laughed at my bad dad jokes) I got an estimate sight unseen from Jim that turned out to be spot on. I thought the price was fair. The quote was reasonable so we decided to set a date. On Saturday morning Marc, Jose and Qwuan showed up within the stated arrival time and started working immediately. Marc demonstrated extreme care with our furniture and everything was wrapped to protect our sofa, tv's and bureaus. Jose did a fantastic job playing Tetris loading the truck. Some items needed to be disassembled and reassembled when we got to our new location. Honestly, there's nothing to complain about and a lot to compliment on. They called our house watch 1.5 hrs beforehand and then did not unwrap any items pre wrapped.at the delivery destination. Just left the items in the middle of apt and took the tip. Never asked or tried to assist with anything bedore leaving as most movers do. The manager claims the contract states something to the effect of them NOT unwrapping prewrapped items, althiugh he could not actually tell me what part of the contract actually said that. My daughter had to pay her doormen to help unbox and unwrap large glass table toos/ chairs etc. I have moved 7 times in the last 38 yrs and have never had a company that does not unwrap or unbox previously stored items. There was no partial refund only advice to file a claim.

During in the process of the move my wardrobe boxes that contained all of my clothes were somehow lost. I contacted Arnoff and was was told to file a claim. The claim then went through a claim agency and a lowball settlement amount was offered. In researching the next steps to appeal the settlement I discovered it would have only prolonged the time and cost me more money. I would have my claim sent to an arbitrator and that would have wanted receipts for my clothing items. Who has receipts for all the items in their closet? It's a racket designed to protect the moving companies. I sent numerous emails and did receive one from one of the Arnoff family members however it was just lip service in the end. I reluctantly accepted the settlement offer which was substantially below any numerical value to replace my entire closet. I sent a final email asking them to give the service one would expect from a local company and the human touch but never heard back. They came highly recommended and I have shared my story with other friends and voiced me frustrations. I can say that I will advise anyone moving to the area to use another company.

When I booked my move on the phone, I explained that we were moving from a two bedroom condo in Brooklyn to a house upstate and that I had a small child and only two days to pack up our 2bd/2bath 950 sq foot apartment to prepare for the next tenants, so I would need full service move, including packing. While on the phone we went through every item in my home: furniture, closets, books, etc. On the day of the move, a crew of 3 young men arrived, including Andrew, the driver and head mover. After going through the house and explaining what needed to be done, I signed the paperwork, and he said he and his crew would grab the materials and be right back. After 45 minutes when they had still not returned, I got worried and called. He explained that the two young men did not want to do the packing and didn't realize it would be an all day job. The company asked if we could reschedule the move for the following day. I agreed and was very understanding, in spite of the inconvenience this caused my family. When I spoke to Jennifer on the phone she said that they would not charge me for the day and would try to add an additional mover to the team for the next day's move at no charge to make up for the inconvenience. Andrew had been on the phone with Kate and told me that since he had already driven all the way down they agreed that he should pack for a few hours while he was here to make the next day's move run smoothly and the company would pay his hourly fee, but I would not be charged to make up for the inconvenience of what had happened. He worked very hard for 4 hours and then left. There was some miscommunication on the administrative end and I was initially charged for Andrew's services on Sunday which was very upsetting. However, the owner Jake reached out to me and refunded me for that first day. I really appreciate his working to make things right.

Was left with mattresses only. and now need to hire someone to put the bed frames together and in the bedrooms. By their own admission, the men were fried from a bad move the day before. And still I got charged over $1500 extra because they were not at their best and despite my description of the move. The administrators never bothered to call during or after the move to check up on the client. i cannot recommend this team.
