I LOVE THEM. I had to coordinate moving from my 4 bedroom-2 bedroom house of 20 years with an alleged snowstorm on the way, and because I was so overwhelmed with that, I used Yelp quote for the first time. I asked for movers to come the next day to move my things from my house to a storage unit 30 minutes away. Almost immediately, AW Express responded to set up a phone consultation and give me a quote. Joe gave me his number, and we had a quick phone call and his services included everything- his team, truck, extra packing materials! read more

I will update review once I complete move but super professional and legit on first call. I feel very assured that his company will be top-notch and not scammers like some other movers have been. He offered a great local rate and realistic quote (both timewise and $$) vs. others who either exaggerated the hours either too low or too high. Looking forward to a smooth process! read more

I would had given A W Express 4 or 5 stars. Because of this reason. I' am only given 1 star and a negative Google Review. I will explain why. I had to move out of my apartment by December 11th, 2025. On Thursday November 14th, 2024 a Military Veteran Organization called WESTCOP SSVF contracted A W Express, to move my personal possessions to a Storage Room I rented from a Storage Facility. I only needed approximately 90 percent moved, because I need some personal possessions that I need until I need to vacate on Wednesday December 11th, 2024. They conducted the move on ThursdayNovember16th, 2024. There were three employees, and a foreman his name is Joseph. One of the items that was going to stay in the Apartment was a Bulletin Board. The Bulletin Board contain some flyers, and two memorabilia items. They were two Miniature soccer Jersey Car Decorations with suction cups. One Representating the Uruguayan National Soccer Team, the other was a professional soccer club from Uruguay from South America called C.A. Penarol. They were pinned to the Bulletin Board. When they finished the move, It appeared they did an adequate job. On Tuesday December 10th, 2024 I was doing the final move. Then I took the Bulletin Board, and noticed the Miniature soccer Jersey Car Decorations representating C.A. Penarol was missing. I went to the Storage Room and looked for it, but I could not find it. I called Joseph and asked him about the missing memorabilia item. He claimed he did not know about the memorabilia item. I asked him to ask the employees. He told me he would ask them. I called again to find out what they said. He said they did not know. I speculate that he did not ask them. He informed me the company policy was if any item was found. He or the employees would give it to me or leave it on the floor. He said may it flew away. I said the apartment does not have one path, and the item is too heavy for it to fly away. When I called again to inquire about the issue. He told me he was annoyed, that I was calling excessively about the issue. I have looked in my Storage Room at approximately 90 percent of my personal possessions boxes etc and I cannot find it. Finally in conclusion I was very disappointed with the lack of attention to detail, unprofessionalism, and apathetic attitude about my concerns about my missing memorabilia item. My concerns as a customer. I lost a memorabilia item because of the incompetence of this company and its employees. There is a possibility I can find the item. I will know if I still have the memorabilia item, when I move to a house or apartment, look again at the Storage Room and happen to find. Until then I will consider lost. If I happen to find it. Then I will edit my Google Review, text a retraction, and change the Star Rating System from a 1 Star to 4 or 5 Stars. Until then my review and Star Rating stays the same. I' am very disappointed. I' am a United States Navy veteran. read more

Recently used there services to move our 2 bedroom apartment from Middletown NY to Buffalo NY .... The owner came over and spent a few minutes to introduce himself and gave me an instant quote and within 1 min..... 1 month later on moving date they arrived on time with a full staff of team members and wrapped my furniture and handled our items with extreme care as if they owned the items themselves.... The next day they met me on time after a 5 hour drive with a smile and zero drama ..... before they left they asked to to inspect everything and everything arrived unblemished and I couldn't have been any happier with my service . They move like a well oiled machine. If you are moving this is your go to business! Bravo on job well done. ! read more

Joe got back to me quickly with a quote and handled my last minute panic call with finesse. (There was an issue with the floors at my new place but it all worked out.) Three fantastic, speedy, on-time, friendly, *strong* movers got the job done right! I had packed my dresser full to save space and had been taking out the drawers to move them separately. Two of these guys just hauled the whole thing in in one go. And did I mention Friendly? Thanks, Alvin, Barry, and Sean(sp?) Now if I only had half as much energy to get it all unpacked. :) read more

I needed a moving company. Wanted to stay local. Called Joe put the date in the books and told me price per hour. Don't remember anything and a minimum. Move was done in 2 hours. Almost got charged for 4 (the min) Joe worked with me kinda read more

So I didn't actually get to use these guys (my own fault) but their professionalism on the phone, response time and genuine concern for us finding a solution were enough for me to write a review. They didn't just say "no". They offered suggestions and alternatives to help us resolve our issue even though they couldn't personally do do our last minute job. I really appreciate that approach to business and when we move again...which is imminent, I'll be sure to reach out to them! read more

My husband and I had a great experience with A W Express. We are fairly new to Middletown and got various quotes for moving services through Yelp and Google searches. Joe was professional and quick to respond. He understood when we had a big delay on our house closing and was flexible and helpful with the storage situation. His team is fantastic-- on time, fast but careful with our stuff, and friendly. Working with A W was probably the easiest part of the whole stressful moving equation, and I definitely recommend them! read more

They responded quickly, arrived promptly and packed efficiently. They worked through lunch to avoid the wet weather from damaging my furniture and saved me money by carefully packing the items into the storage units where I only needed 2 large units instead of having to get those two and an additional small unit. I gave them a time frame that I could afford and they finished within that time. All the movers were courteous, careful and would definitely recommend them for small or large jobs and will be using them again to move into my finished home. read more

We had a major business move with the final quantity of items only confirmed the evening before the pick up date. Joe was incredibly flexible and able to meet our every need. He arrived with a very professional and extremely efficient crew. They completed the job quickly and left the premises clean and undamaged. His pricing was fair and reasonable. I also learned that AW does long distance moves, as well as offers storage services. I plan on using them for my future needs, and highly recommend them. read more

This by far was the best investment we made in buying our home. We called them on short notice for moving on a Saturday. They were there promptly at 8am. They moved an entire 2 bedroom apartment (taking apart furniture AND helping take out trash) while going up and down 13 stairs within 2 hours!!! They treated our items like their own. They had everything needed to make a move organized: blankets, straps, boxes for lamps, ramps, etc. My husband and I were in awe of how quickly they took to steps and their strength to move heavy items. We put new flooring in our new house. They walked along the blankets we placed down-- and kept adjusting them so they wouldn't mess our floors. They also did not place items on the floor and move them, but rather carried EVERY item to the place we asked for it to go. It was muddy and I began to put hay down for them to ensure they wouldn't slip. They were more concerned with tracking the hay into my house than anything else! I couldn't believe it! This was SO beyond organized and took a huge amount of stress off of us. They moved our whole family within 4.5 hours. Everything was in place, They even helped my husband put our new bed frame together that we bought. This family owned business is worth any amount that they charge to move you (which was SOOOO reasonable). We will NEVER move again without their assistance. The best investment of us buying our home was AW Moving & Storage. Within 8 hours (about 4 with their assistance), we were moved, set up, and just about unpacked. read more

These guys were unbelievable! They did an outstanding job moving our furniture which was large and we didn't think would fit out our front door. They not only managed to get it all out, nothing was banged up or damaged in any way! They were friendly, funny and did the job unbelievably fast; we thought it would take a lot longer to move! They not only worked up a sweat but laughed and told jokes as they were working. I really liked these guys, Joe and his two helpers... Also, I might add we moved during a light miserable raw, rainy day and they made sure everything was well-taken care of. They helped set up our furniture in our new location and placed everything exactly where we needed it to be. They placed blankets where they walked, so as not to ruin our new carpeting and were extremely professional. My husband and I highly recommend using these movers, who were also recommended to us!!! - ym and lm read more
