I had to make arrangements to move the last piece of furniture from a third floor apartment a family member had recently vacated in Newburgh. A large dining room table with a six foot long solid glass top that by itself weighed approx 200 lbs. This had to be moved down three flights of very narrow stairs and transported to a nearby storage unit. Most companies who serviced the Newburgh area turned down the job because it was too small or quoted from $1300-$2000 to move the one piece of furniture. I was about to give up when I found EXTRA HELP MOVERS.. Alex their dispatcher responded to my inquiry immediately in a very friendly and personable manner. She was able to provide a quote that was substantially less than the other estimates. She then did her best to try to fit the job into the next day's schedule but when that didn't work out the owner, Xavier, called to apologize offering to send his team out two days later. He was so apologetic for having to re-schedule but I was so impressed that they were doing their best to accommodate my needs on such short notice in the middle of a July 4th holiday weekend. His two man team arrived as promised two days later and did this pesky job with utmost care and efficiency. EXTRA HELP MOVERS provided exceptional customer service on short notice with very reasonable pricing. I highly recommend them. Final note: Xavier called me the next day just as I was about to pay the bill on line. Upon review, he had caught an error on the invoice that I hadn't even noticed and made the correction $100.00 in my favor. Such integrity is not very common these days. read more

I feel like I cant say enough about this Company. Let me start off by saying that Xavier came highly recommended by his previous employer. So I decided to call. And it was the BEST decision I made. Xavier was kind and accommodating. He gave me a quote that I just couldnt believe ... nor refuse. The day of the move, his moving crew showed up ON TIME and with gloves and masks on ( this was during COVID 19 and I have an elderly immno compromised mother at home). I don't leave a lot of Yelp reviews, but I had to say a good word about Extra Help Movers. From scheduling the move to watching the truck pull out of the driveway, I experienced these folks as courteous, diligent, and prompt. They were polite, positive, and laid back (and not in a lazy way). This is our second local move with them, actually. They first moved my husband out of a multi-floor condo in POK. This morning they moved me out of a single family home into our new place, which has a ton of stairs. Zero complaints from them. Two of the movers worked my husband's move and then mine. The absolute best, Xavier and Luke showed up bright and early with smiles on their faces. Reloaded stuff we had put on the moving truck from our storage unit to fit better, packed our entire house onto the truck in about an hour all awhile making it feel like we just had friends helping us out, cracking jokes and cheering us on.
