I came in for a blowout with a trim. Prior to this appointment, my hair was healthy and undamaged. I have naturally curly hair and had not used heat on my hair for approximately 10 years. During the service, the heat used felt very high, and there was a noticeable burnt smell. While rollers were being placed, I observed that my hair texture appeared different. I was not informed of all products being applied during the service. When I washed my hair two weeks later, I experienced significant and abnormal hair loss. Hair came out in clumps when running my hands through it. This was not typical shedding, and my hair was not tangled beforehand. I used the same hair products I have always used without prior issues. During washing, there was a strong burnt/chemical odor that spread throughout my home and lingered afterward. Since then, I have experienced ongoing hair loss and scalp inflammation. I have never had these issues before. Based on the condition of my hair and scalp after this service, I believe the damage was caused by excessive heat and/or product use during the appointment. Due to this experience, I would not recommend this salon. 0 star review. read more
