They blew the socket taking out all the electricity in the kitchen. When they did the technician said, "your electricity is not my problem." Then he plugged in his machine in my living room. I asked him to stop since he said the living room couldn't take it. He said he refused to leave because he would have to pay the bill if he didn't finish. I told him that according to him, I didn't have the power to run his machine and I didn't want to blow out anymore fuses (they didn't reset and we had to call in help.) he wouldn't leave then he called the police when I insisted he do. He left with the job half done. Then the company, without speaking to me or seeing my home, said they had finished the job and I was to pay in full. After he left we washed the soap off put rugs and had to call in service for the electricity. The whole thing was upsetting and frankly, awful. Please spare yourself the trouble and use anybody else.

I spoke with Jerry, who showed up the same day to pick up my rug. He gave it a thorough look, pointing out parts of the rug that had been patched up over time. I really appreciated his attention to detail and desire to tell me more about my rug and how to make it look better. He took the rug to his facility, washed it, and 2 weeks later came back to my house to drop it off. It needed a double-wash, which is why I think it took a bit longer (100 year old rug, hadn't been cleaned in many years!) When Jerry dropped of the rug, I was stunned! It is SO much brighter than when he picked it up. I'm really, really pleased with the work he did and would highly recommend Oriental Rug Care to anyone else looking to clean their vintage rugs. Make sure you get the price for shampoo there was a little bit of an upsell on the day of. Unfortunately my house has 3 or 4 kinds of carpet and the price to clean the viscose and silk was very high so I just cleaned the other types. But kudos to them for letting me know. Otherwise I would have potentially ruined the carperts. It all took about an hour. He wore shoe covers inside the house. The 2 downsides were 1) It took much longer than 6-8 hours to dry (actually about 48 hours). This is perhaps because it was a rainy week so the humidity was high and 2) Their main dripped so it left a small puddle of water wherever it was stationed, one on my vinyl floors and the other on a piece of carpet I wasn't getting cleaned. They really know what they are doing. A couple small things here and there and I would give them 5 stars.

It was in pretty bad shape- needed to be washed, cut, sheared, etc. A few folks I called stopped by and saidI may be better off buying a new rug. When Shahram stopped by and quoted less than half of what anyone else did I was skeptical and figured it would be lower quality service but thought I might as well go w the cheaper option since it may be beyond saving. Super happy I did. The customer service was unbelievable, they did the job incredibly quickly and i was blown away by the results. I could not recommend them more.

Once I decided on where to cut, I was told it would be about 10 days until it was finished. I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email saying it was ready 5 days later! The rug is beautiful. When I told him I had a friend who loved the rug so much she wanted it, he made a little rug out of the leftovers--so sweet! I would definitely use their services again and bring the rug to AAA for cleaning in the future.

Long story short, I agreed to the pricing for 2 people for 8 hours/day, for a three-day project, starting today. 5 hours in, one girl left because she was tired. So we sent the other girl home. They were also super slow. We've hired help in the past, and 1 woman did twice what she did in half the time (she's not available for this project). I called them and got "Oh I didn't know, etc," but in the end, insisted I pay the full price for the day! I work in property management, and know this process well.
