I needed new flooring in my kitchen but couldn't decide on the type. Made an appointment at Carpet Time where the two owners took me through the options. I had it narrowed down to cork or linoleum. I decided on linoleum as being the best option and fit for my kitchen remodel. The price with custom measuring, the removal of the old flooring, installation of the underlying base and new linoleum was reasonable. The final installation came out great and makes the new kitchen pop. read more

After a few failed attempts to order carpet from companies in the city, I set an appointment with Christina. She was very helpful and patient as I explored their selections. She quickly followed up with samples sent to my home as well as quotes. Fernando came out to measure the room and he was really patient when he showed up and I was in a meeting. He was really flexible when I rejected some of his advice and we came to an agreement about the actual installation. Christina scheduled the installation within a couple of weeks of me choosing the carpet and she sent a carpet cleaning kit (gift) with the carpet installers. One of them told me his name was Eric and he was really friendly. They carefully removed and replaced the furniture. They were really nice and professional. All of this, plus some extra services, were provided at a reasonable cost. My new floor and carpet look great. read more

My home was flooded due to a hot water pipe burst. We had to replace the flooring. We went to Carpet Time to pick out new flooring. Eleanor and Christina were very helpful and took the time to explain the differences and types of laminate floors. We went with a laminate flooring that is water proof and looks like real wood flooring. Niko and Herman installed the flooring with ease. In addition to doing an awesome job, they were very clean. I did not have to clean up after they left. UPDATE: Since we replaced our floor with new laminate flooring, we went back to Carpet Time to pick out an area rug, with the help if Christina and Eleanor. We are very happy with the results. We are going back to have more flooring installed. I can't say it enough, Carpet Time did an awesome job from start to finish. This is the place to go for your flooring needs. read more

My review is overdue. Carpet Time installed our Marmoleum kitchen floor in April. It's perfect! We were interested in this floor specifically because we've had it in the past and thought it was perfect. In visiting the manufacturers website, Carpet Time was practically the only authorized installer. I then looked them up on Yelp to see all the amazing reviews. I had a general contractor who was renovating our new co-op in Jackson Heights, and everything was coordinated through him after we made the specific selection. When I mentioned that I wanted to use Carpet Time, he told me he has dealt with them in the past and was relieved. When I called the first time they explained their process, and it's easy, logical, and the final product exceeds our expectations. The installer stopped by a few days prior to the install date to insure the prep met his standards. On the day of the install, they arrived early, and when they left it was completed. Many thanks to Carpet Time for a terrific experience. read more

I would absolutely recommend Carpet Time. They are fantastic. I HIGHLY recommend Carpet Time for any type of flooring or carpeting you may need for your home. read more

I loved carpet time. I took the train out from my brownstone in Manhattan and they did runners and area carpets for my whole house. They didn't hold me over the fire with the price, and everything including an the on site assessment, delivery and professional installation for one all-inclusive price. Because we decided to use carpet they had in stock, the cost was minimal. The men who came were hard working, polite and skilled workers. Listen up my friends. If you're in the market for some hot carpet action, then you need to hightail it over to Carpet Time pronto and get your groove on with Eleanor. I'd never purchased carpet before and had no idea what to expect or where to even start, but Eleanor made the process as easy as apple pie. She talked me through all of my options, gave me a variety of styles and price points, and was an absolute pleasure to be around and talk to from the moment I set foot in her store. The install was perfect and everyone who works at her company was friendly. I couldn't be happier with the result as my basement has now become the soft, plush man cave I always dreamed it could be. Bottom line, there's a reason this place has so many great reviews, and that reason is Eleanor. She's hilarious, kind, and a straight shooter. Do yourself a favor and give her a call. You won't regret it. read more

Great experience! I was looking for a stair runner for my house in Brooklyn and didn't know where to start. I trusted the reviews for Carpet Time and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in to the store, Eleanor assisted me and made the process of looking, explaining, and picking samples easy as can be. They have so many options but Eleanor really helped narrow it down. The team installed this morning and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. The pricing was also great and we kept within our budget. Thank you for making the process so seamless, beautiful and professional. Highly recommend. read more

I had my carpets replaced in 3 rooms, plus adding a custom made area rugs in my livingroom. Elenor and Christina were so helpful and gave me different ideas regarding the type of carpets I need, especially my children have allergies so I need something more suitable for their needs. Both of them were very helpful to helpf me to select the textures and also the pricing. I told Elenor I did not have the budget for the first area rug so she fould another similar one which I was able to afford. Her staffs who came in to install were very professional and efficients. Great customer service! She helped me pick a carpet for my apartment building and sent me home with 10 samples because I couldn't make up my mind. I had an excellent experience dealing with Carpet Time. Eleanor was knowledgeable, thorough, friendly and professional in the carpet selection process. Chrystalla was incredibly helpful in dealing with my coop building's renovation approval process, filling out and submitting the required paperwork. Spent a number of weeks searching for rugs for our new apartment. Here's the thing: No matter where we went (Bloomingdales, Restoration Hardware, West Elm, Ikea, ABC, etc) we had the same issues: (1) No one seemed to care enough to really pay attention and literally ask us about the room, color scheme, decor, and all that. (2) We really didn't find too much that we actually liked. Now, my darling wife read about Carpet Time in a review about a TV show and how well the set dressing was done. We looked at the Yelp reviews and saw all the raves and bee-lined for Queens (train, bus, cab..). What was great about Eleanor was not just that she was friendly and charming, but she actually asked about what the room looked like and our intended style. We had photos and we showed them all. She mulled them for a second and then starting pulling samples. I believe we ended up buying the first and second options she showed us. She has a good eye and good sense of style. The price was great and the rug was custom cut for the room. Delivery was perfect - friendly guy who was super efficient. So, there you go. Yay Carpet Time. (Boo everyone else!) read more

I helped my mother redo aging tile floors in her pre-war apartment using Carpet Time because they were one of a handful of a Kardeen Luxury Vinyl Flooring dealers in NYC. Home Depot choices were depressing lol and no bargain for the quality. We had a hard time choosing at Carpet Time - a beautiful store with every material you can imagine. We needed to buy two very large area rugs in order to meet our building's requirement of covering 80% of the floors in our apartment. Carpet Time had a wide variety of styles that could be cut to custom sizes, and at a variety of price points. Eleanor was extremely knowledgeable about the store's large inventory, and worked with us to find exactly what we were looking for at a price we could afford. I just had my new carpet installed today and could not be more pleased. I highly recommend Carpet Time to anyone looking for not only the best selection of carpets and flooring, but also the best customer service I could have hoped for. I had a certain vision in mind and visited a total of 6 carpet stores. Living in the city/upper east side I was not happy with the selection and prices that I saw in the nyc stores. So... I went to Carpet Time twice and found them to have the best selection - they also have an immense space with a basement filled with a full range of remnants, including high-end ones. I found a beautiful designer carpet for an excellent price. The best part of my experience was the help that I received. I worked with Matina who was so professional and honest. She really helped me sort through all my options and gave her expert opinion which was on point every time. She was actually the one who suggested the carpet I ended up purchasing and she was so patient. She even looked at pictures of my room since I was questioning the colors. She has a great eye and a wonderful personality. My installation went perfectly. The installers were so kind and efficient. They showed up at the exact time they were supposed to and they finished earlier than i expected - they were so polite and pleasant to speak to. They worked fast yet also did a great job. Later I received a call from Matina making sure everything went well. From start to finish, i could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. I will definitely be recommending to all my friends looking for carpets and urge all Manhattanites to visit Carpet Time. It is a short ride on the R train, and they are literally right outside the Broadway stop, couldn't be more convenient. Thanks also to the owner Eleanor who was just as kind and helpful! read more

My experience with Carpet Time was INCREDIBLE. From start to finish, their customer service was exceptional. I live in Chicago and I was looking for flooring for my commercial space. My interior designer had recommended that I purchase residential flooring for my business. Christina and Eleanor helped me realize that I needed commercial flooring and walked me through the entire process of selecting the appropriate flooring. They were very patient with me and answered all of my questions. If I hadn't gone to Carpet Time, I would have residential flooring in my space, which would have been a huge and costly mistake. Carpet time helped me avoid that expensive mistake and helped me pick the perfect flooring. Since I live in Chicago, they shipped me samples and even helped me track the shipments! When they arrived, they checked in with me to make sure that the samples weren't damaged. When my contractors incorrectly installed the wrong flooring in my space, I called Carpet Time and they helped me problem-solve that same evening. Eleanor and Christina helped me figure out that I needed to order more flooring so the next day, they spoke with their rep and overnighted me extra flooring. They saved me!! I don't know what I would have done without Carpet Time!! If you are looking for flooring and want a company that is knowledgeable with the best customer service, I highly recommend Carpet Time. As I mentioned, I live in Chicago, so I can't even imagine what their service looks like in NYC! Not to mention my flooring is beautiful :). Thank you Carpet time for everything you did to go above and beyond to make sure I got the exact flooring I needed for my space. I am so happy!! read more

This is the second time I have used Carpet Time to install linoleum in my kitchen in my apartment, and each time is better than the last. The quality of the floors is outstanding, and the only reason I even needed to reinstall is because some of my construction guys ripped the first one because they thought it was real tile and pushed the stove across it. I couldn't be happier with the results and the service is always fantastic, from selecting the floor in the store (Eleanor is so friendly, professional, and knowledgeable) to the gentlemen who come to install on the day of delivery. The installation men arrived early, were courteous, efficient, and did an amazing job. They even took care to cover my actual wood floors that had just been refinished and they only had to step on here and there to retrieve materials. Excellent service, amazing quality, fantastic and reasonable pricing, and now it looks like real wood floors in my kitchen! I won't buy floors any place else! read more
