We went through two loans together in the past 5 weeks or so, the first one a super-rushed, 10-day-to-close loan that I was bait-and-switched into by another lender but which ultimately fell through due to low-appraisal failed negotiations, the second one being the one I closed escrow with today. You learn a lot about a person during trying times. Believe me, that first loan was a tough situation and very time-critical. Patrick pulled through for me in a time of crisis. All through both loans, Patrick consistently demonstrated commitment, expertise, steadiness, good nature, humor and wit, open communication, honesty, and leadership. I am grateful to have had Patrick on my side this time and look forward to working with him again for my next mortgage loan or refinance. Thank you, Patrick!!

Patrick is an…read moreexpert in all things real estate and lending--he walked me through every option available, from renovation and construction loans to standard mortgages, while also sharing insights on market rate trends, insurance providers, and smart loan strategies. He was always available for a call, even at odd hours and on weekends, and held my hand through every step of the process, which made things so much easier as a first time homebuyer. What stood out the most was his honesty and integrity. Even though he had the best rates and offers on the table, at the very last moment I received a discounted offer through my employer which was too good to beat. Patrick reviewed every competing option with me and genuinely advised that the employee discount was the better fit for my situation--even though it meant he wouldn't get my business. That level of customer care is rare, and it speaks volumes about his character. Patrick was always available for a phone call, saved me a huge amount of time and money with his guidance, and went above and beyond to make sure I felt confident in my decision. If you want someone who puts your best interest first, I can't recommend Patrick and Exhale Lending enough. He's the real deal.

Raleigh Mortgage Group single handedly saved our homebuying process, and my biggest regret is not…read morestarting with them. We first connected with Alayna Weaver from Raleigh Mortgage Group during the preapproval process, while we were comparing rates among lenders. We eventually got a rate too good to pass up from a large commercial bank and went with them, thanking RMG for their help. The loan process from this bank ended up being a complete disaster, where problems arose last minute over things we should have been told weeks earlier. With closing coming up, and our trust in the bank fully broken after a week of fruitless back-and-forth, we decided to get our mortgage elsewhere, but it needed to be fast. I reconnected with Alayna, who gave us a sanity check by confirming the bank was being ridiculous, and snapped into action to help us. Within 36 hours, we had a fantastic rate in hand and were set up with a mortgage processor. Each time we ran into a problem, Alayna - who was readily available via text, phone, and email - as well as others at RMG (Hayley Jackson) and the processing team (Corry O'Neill and Kristina Polson) provided alternate choices or simply solved the problem. We closed on time and have our house, and we have them to thank. There are two morals here: 1. Commercial banks won't lift a finger to help you originate a mortgage, so only apply with them if you feel lucky. 2. If you need a mortgage in North Carolina, call Raleigh Mortgage Group.
