Where other contractors canceled appointments, arrived late, or were just no-shows - Mikel (out of their Hudson office) arrived on time and did a thorough assessment of the roof including taking drone footage. He sat with me and walked me through the whole process clearly, explaining all my choices in materials and didn't push any product or add-on. I did receive marginally cheaper quotes, but they did not leave me feeling like my home was in good hands in the same way that Mikel did, and I felt the extra money was likely to be worth it. Once I decided to go ahead with them, again, everything was done very professionally. I was kept informed of times and everybody showed up exactly when they said they would. I made a small change to the scope of the work in replacing additional plywood sections of the roof, and these were easily accommodated on short notice. On the day of the work, the crew showed up on time and Jurgan (the site foreman) kept everything moving with minimal disruption to us. I was working from home, and my wife and kids were in and out of the house for school and errands. Despite replacing the entire roof of the main building and two additions over approximately 9 hours, there was minimal disruption to our days. The house was protected during the work, and even with snow still on the ground, their cleanup crew constantly walked the property picking up and disposing of any debris, nails, old material etc. Ultimately the roof was replaced successfully and looks good. Every step of the job was explained to me, every question answered, and every decision explained. The team was professional, punctual and courteous throughout. A couple of weeks in and we've had snow, rain and strong winds. Everything is still perfect. I can highly recommend Mikel and Jurgan from Golden Group, Hudson.

I watched these guys work for hours attempting to install said skylight only to totally screw up the whole project . I then asked my contractor who was renovating inside to fix the job. I had to fight Trinity to convince them they needed to pay for the amateur effort! They coughed up the money. And then my contractor discovered they neglected to place flashing at the base of my new dormer. Again I had to contact them to finish the job right. I will admit they paid for the skylight repair but only grudgingly! I'd advise staying away from this behemoth!

I can say that this solar company is a very efficient company and does a superb job with installing solar panels and cleaning up after the work has been finished. it is my opinion that Critical Solar has some top notch installers. The electrician is a professional when it comes to running electrical wiring for the solar system - he does a nice, neat and clean job that has a very nice appearance when you look up at the solar panels. From the very beginning, with initial outreach, to the installation, to the system start-up, and to follow up requests, everything was AMAZING. First off, the initial consultation and discussion of the possibilities was exactly how every experience should be. There was no pressure whatsoever, and everything was explained clearly. The representative was super knowledgeable, and responded to all questions quickly. I had a quote within a day of the visit, and phone calls/e-mails with questions were answered promptly. From a price perspective, Great Sky was extremely competitive, something that I honestly did not expect based on everything the company offered. Once the contract was signed, GSS did a fantastic job working with me and the banks, Eversource, and MassSave to make the paperwork process a breeze. During the installation, I continued to be impressed by the GSS folks. Everyone showed up on time, were respectful of my property, and cleaned up at the end as if they were never there- Something that is relatively rare when it comes to construction crews. When I unfortunately did run into issues with my PV system (nothing related to anything GSS did), they were just as impressive with assisting in getting a resolution each time. They communicated with the appropriate parties, including equipment manufacturers, and the State reporting agency, and got my system back up quickly. Overall, I have not one bad thing to say about Great Sky, and it is the only company I recommend to friends and family when they tell me they are considered installing solar panels. Good them a call, you will be glad you did!
