I was beyond frustrated & usually I'm very flexible when things happen. I emailed them letting them know what happened & still no reply. Unbelievable.

Natalie the owner works hard to made sure that each student gets an experience customized to what they want and need. The instruction is top notch - I've learned SO much in just a short few months and my dancing has improved significantly! I also really appreciate the fun events that they put on - there are plenty of opportunities ranging from laid back dance socials with other students, to opportunities to compete, and everything in between! There is truly an atmosphere of "community" and in a short few months I've met some great people and made new friendships. I've also found the pricing to be more affordable than other dance studios, and there is alot of flexibility in choosing what you want (group classes, individual lessons, some combo, etc.). Overall Slow Fox Dance Hall is an awesome place - being there you don't just feel like a client, it truly feels like being part of a positive and fun community where everyone is welcome. She specializes in ATS (American Tribal Style). I was pretty self-conscious dancing at first, but all the girls in the class ranged from beginner, to a little more advanced. We learn 1-2 new moves per class, drill them, then do an improvisational group dance, led by Leslie. And if you're having trouble with a move, she works with you. Class size ranges, sometimes there's only 3 of us, sometimes 10. So, now to the review about the facility. The room we had designated to us was a bit small. No air circulation, a few windows, but if you know Napa heat, it does not help. And if you're dressed in the proper attire (a 10 yard skirt) you just want to die. I wore socks to dance and they turned black every time, so I don't know if the floors are cleaned. Location is easy to find, just behind Wal-Mart. I don't know about the other classes offered here, I just wanted to rave about Leslie Lew's Belly Dance lessons :)

We decided to check out this dance studio since we saw they were teaching a Kpop class. Luckily…read morethey were teaching 2.0 by BTS and we were excited. This was our first time at the studio. There's plenty of parking, and the studio is on the smaller side, but nice (there's two dance rooms--one larger one and one smaller one). Since the Kpop class was so popular, there were a lot of people, but we were in the smaller room, since it sounded like there was another group training for some sort of performance. Once they left, we switched over to the larger room. Isabel teaches the Kpop classes and she was so friendly and encouraging. She was patient and great at breaking down the dance moves, while moving the class at an appropriate pace. It is a 1.5 hour class, so we finished all the moves with 15 minutes to break into dance groups (not exactly my favorite part, because my brain can't usually learn all the moves in the same class). Of note, they do record the group dances, but you can probably sit out if you want (I just stick around because of peer pressure and low key want to remember how I looked from when I started until mastering the dance). It's also nice that she will be kinda doing the dance on the side to guide you. There's no level listed on the class, so I'm assuming it's all levels. Based on being at other dance studios, I think 2.0 was more of an intermediate level class, but it was very doable! Overall, I really enjoyed my class with Isabel!

The class was Heels & Grooves and I would say it's beginner friendly! We started with stretching, then practicing walking, then learned the choreo. It was a fun class! Lots of parking available in the plaza. The space was open, bright, and clean. My GPS told me to go to the left when really they were located on the other side. I arrived early as instructed to fill out their waiver, however another class was in session and there was no one at the front desk. I'm not sure if this is how it normally is. When their class ended the instructor had me fill out your typical safety waiver. Instructor was nice, friendly, and attentive which I appreciated because I'm new to Pilates and their equipment. She was very helpful in guiding the class but also walking around the room and assisting as needed. It was such a great, effective, low impact workout. The space felt clean. There are cubbies in the front where you leave your stuff and shoes. I was told there were cubbies in the back room if preferred. They are located in a shopping plaza on Jefferson with a parking lot. I recommend bringing pilates/yoga grip socks but I noticed some people were barefoot. They have socks and apparel for sale. Would recommend and would go back.
