Unprofessional, rude, and a complete waste of my time Dr. Amer was incredibly disrespectful. I asked about using laughing gas for my wisdom teeth removal because I don't like needles and was anxious, and instead of acting like a professional, he called me a child. Completely unacceptable. To make it worse, he refused to have this conversation over the phone, forced me to skip work and come into the office, and then turned me away anyway. Zero empathy, zero professionalism, and no respect for my time. If you have any anxiety at all or expect basic human decency from a doctor, go somewhere else. read more

After trying to communicate how to come to a resolution here, I was told that this case was keeping Dr Issacs awake at night, that she wants me to be happy and that she would call me the next day. Never called. I then received a note stating that she was not willing to help fix this at all. I tried reaching out to Dr Eldin and Dr Amer to never hear from them. Amy in HR hung up on me after telling me to never call back again. Very professional. I'm very easy to talk to. This how they left me.. knowing I clearly need additional help that will cost me way more then what I initially spent. Additionally, I went and saw and orthodontist and a dentist after this treatment and both doctors confirmed that my teeth were shaved way too aggressively. They ALL know how dissatisfied and unhappy I am and could care less. *I would be willing to remove this review if someone from the office calls me to try and fix this. NUVA Smile is the Best. We are visiting my sister in Old Bridge, NJ and the wire from my sons braces partially slipped out and was hanging outside his mouth piercing against his cheek . We went to 3 different orthodontists, the first two refused. NUVA was our third stop. They we're so kind and understanding and helpful. To our relief they immediately took our son in and fixed his braces. It was a harrowing few hours but all is well now...SPECIAL shout out to Jamie, Manel and team!! As a new patient I got a cleaning here last month and it was barely a 5 minutes long. Gave it a second chance since the dental assistant was so friendly as I had to bring my son with me. I had a filling last week and will no longer return after that. I waited one hour in the waiting room then another 20 minutes after being numbed for the filling as the dental assistant (a different one from last time) told me Dr. Betesh was with another patient in between... He then verbally said to the assistant that I needed a one surface filling but the front desk charged me for for a 3 surface filling. It wasn't the money I was mainly worried about, it was him being deceitful. I wouldn't be surprised if this is done often at this office to get more money from the insurance companies. Manager stayed professional however, partially refunded me my co-pay and apologized. Seems like she knows this kind of thing goes on to be honest, and that people complain a lot. I found a better dentist, so I can take down my ass kissing review! I'm terrified of dentists, and this place made it worse! Dr. Amer was awful! Jabbed around to nerve block me, hit a facial nerve and paralyzed the side of my face (but it wasn't numb!) When he came at me with another needle I asked, "You won't hit it again, right?" He glared at me. I said, "I didn't mean to offend you. I'm just scared and I only meant to ask that now you know where the nerve is and won't hit it this time, yeah?" When he did the root canal he zapped the nerve and I flinched. He snapped his gloves off, threw them down and yelled, "Great! Now you snapped the drill tip off! Get her an X-ray!" He stormed out and I cried to the assistant. She was kind and consoled me. He came back in, said I didn't snap it, but that I needed to raise my hand if I felt something, not flinch. (Dude, it was instinctual. Sorry.) He did the root canals but didn't insert the posts or give me a temp crown, so the teeth were "open." It was such a horrific experience that I went 3 years without getting the posts and permanent crowns on, therefore wearing down the root canal teeth to the gum line. I wound up with an infection, and had no choice to see a dentist. I ended up at Great Expressions, in Union, and they've been great! I needed 2 root canals, and I didn't feel a thing. (They also did the posts and temp crowns.) I also had to have a maxillofacial surgeon extract the teeth that I'd worn down b/c I was too afraid to go back to Dr. Amer. TL/DR: Dr Amer is rough. Physically rough, and verbally/emotionally rough. If you're afraid of the dentist like I am, this guy will make you never go back! I went to him around 2017... maybe he's gotten better. Dr. Amer and staff are amazing! It's not easy for me to find a dentist that I trust to work on my teeth, but after going to Dr. Amer, I don't want to go anywhere else. He thoroughly explains what he thinks should be done, shows me the xrays and asks me for my opinion, making sure I feel comfortable before doing any treatment. I had to have a lot of work done and now my teeth look and feel great! The office was really clean and modern before but they just did some renovations that make it look even nicer. I had the worst experiment in the Old Bridge dental rt 9 north office. I got a root canal and crown on top. The dentist who performed did not do his job right and I got an infection and lost my tooth. My insurance was not able to recover the damage that was happening and I had to go to the ER because my face was really swollen and I got a fever. Dr. Amer, DDS is my dentist the past two years. I'm nearing 80 so I've had many dentists. Amer has the credentials, the experience and the youth to last many a good, successful years. He's done 4 major procedures on me, caps. root canals, an implant, and he doesn't mess around but gets to the options, his recommendation and the actual work quickly. My friend, my husband and I all went to this Old Bridge Dental Center for root canals done by this Dr AMER. we wonder how this guy got his license because we all had very bad infection right after ! We went a few times. The staff refuses to give any type of anesthesia or gas to ease the pain. Another bad thing about this office is that you need to constantly call and remind them about your appointment. They cancelled my July appointments without even telling me. When I showed up, the office doors were closed and the dentist was on vacation and didn't keep their appointments. It's like a Seinfeld episode!!!!! I also think it's unethical for the dentist to leave himself a 5 star review on Yelp!!!! Other than this complaint, they are very efficient and get the job done. Dr. Amer has been my dentist for many years now, and has taken care of everything from wisdom teeth to TMD. He really goes above and beyond by explaining what needs to be done and why, while reviewing the different xrays to help provide a visual to his explanation. I just recently had one of my wisdom teeth removed by dr Amer he did such a great job!!!I was nervous about the whole procedure but the staff made me feel very comfortable. They were very nice talked me through it. I didn't feel a thing dr Amer was extremely gentle I didn't even feel when he put the local anesthesia. If I could give this place Zero Stars, I would. I needed to see a TMJ specialist. I have been having moderate to severe jaw pain, popping sounds, locking up, etc. When I called this office, I Specifically asked them if the dentist specialized in TMJ, I was put on hold while the young lady inquired, she came back and told me yes...so, I promptly made an appt for the following week. That was today, not only did I have to wait 56 minutes past my appointment time...I was brought in, told the dental asst what was going on...she left and 10 mins later the dentist walks in and without even looking at me or taking x-rays, he proceeds to tell me that he can't help me, that he only knows "a little" about TMJ and with the insurance and "stuff" he wouldn't help me. #1 you had my insurance info a week prior to the appt, I am completely covered. #2 I was told by the office that there was a TMJ specialist there, otherwise why would I go there? Why are you lying to people that come to you in pain? So not only did you waste my time, I now have to wait Another week or two IN PAIN, in order to be helped. Thanks so much for NOTHING. Edit: I have called my insurance company and lodged a complaint with them. I also told them to flag my account and to DENY any claim these people may send them. You did Nothing for me besides waste my time and I'll be damned if you try and submit bills to my insurance for 30 seconds of you telling me you are inept. read more

I usually only write Yelp reviews when something is really great or really awful. However, I have recently moved to Old Bridge from Maryland, and things have been hectic. I can't tell you how comforting it is to find good, competent service while trying to settle down in a new area. I gave Old Bridge Dental Center a shot because I needed fillings. Saw Roya for the cleaning and Dr. Reddy for the fillings. The office is nice and clean, and it was busy, which I usually take as a good sign, but my wait wasn't too long at all. I was really surprised when Dr. Reddy walked in, as I wasnt expecting someone so young (she was about my age!). My surprise was short lived, as all my fillings were done in one sitting! She said it was easier as they were all next to one another. Honestly, I avoid the dentist, and usually lie about flossing, but this was painless, quick, and really well done. Dr. Reddy was attentive and caring, but more than that she just knew what she was doing and answered all my silly questions. I promised to go back every 6 months; we will see how that goes haha.. but I would definitely recommend Dr. Reddy. read more

First visit to the dentist in about 4 years...so I just wanted a cleaning and a check up. I requested a female dentist and was seen by Dr. Reddy was told that I had cavities and needed fillings. She was very friendly and answered all of my questions about the procedure. I have a low pain tolerance so I was paranoid about the aftermath. She told me there would be some pain from the procedure after the anesthesia wore off but it was way less than what I expected. I think was probably because she took her time and was careful. Also checked on me to make sure I was ok during the fillings and explained to me what she was doing as she was working. Definitely recommend going to her! The only thing that irritated me was a 35 min wait prior to the appointment but I guess that's to be expected at a doctors office. read more

Dr. Amer is the best dentist ever! I have known him for years now as I used to work for Starbucks and he would come in for coffee as my customer. Dr. Amer was always friendly and polite when he came in to Starbucks and always brought a smile to my face. He is so down to earth and makes you feel comfortable as a patient. When I had my impacted 4 wisdom teeth removed, he did it with just Novocain as I requested and I felt no discomfort. The staff is extremely friendly and they remember me when I come to my cleaning appointments. They all care about their patients and try their best to accommodate them in anyway possible. They go above and beyond and being in the healthcare profession, I can appreciate that. Dr. Amer is by far the best dentist and will tell you when work is necessary or unnecessary with your teeth. I had an appointment today and showed up an hour early due to my work schedule and they were able to take me almost a whole hour early for my teeth cleaning! The hygienist who took care of me, does a thorough cleaning and she makes you feel comfortable.
