Nutz Deep II is one of our go-to places if we don't feel like dinner at home or for meeting family to socialize. You haven't lived until you've heard your grandma say, "How about if we go to Nutz Deep?" Never thought I'd hear that one. Everything to eat here is pretty solid. Of course you can't go wrong with the burgers, as a number of other reviewers have mentioned. My wife's favorite is the fish combo where you get two really large fish filets, one haddock and one cod, and some large shrimp. I would also recommend the bleu cheese chips appetizer which includes homemade chips, bleu cheese, cheddar cheese sauce, bacon, onions, tomato, and probably a couple other things I forgot. It's quite a large platter which could be a whole meal or enough for at least 2 or 3 people to snack on. This is also a great place to have a few beers or drinks. They have a number of Wisconsin brews on tap, and a good atmosphere to just hang out with some friends and have a few. I'd say the service is above average for the Marshfield area. Overall this is one of the first places I'd recommend to eat around Marshfield. read more

Ok, not a big fan of the name of the place. But it is Northern Wisconsin... I have spent a good bit of time in Marshfield this fall and this place is a great Go-To. I have had the burgers, the fish, wings, and the pizza. They all are good.The ingredients are obviously of good quality. The service is very good, and the prices are almost criminally low. Set aside the totally inappropriate name and what do you have? A rather pleasant, if unremarkable, neighborhood Wisconsin Tavern/Pub. The service is very good, and the frequency with which I was checked on almost became annoying. I mean, it was about every five minutes. I must say that the food was pretty much in line with everything else. That is to say, unremarkable. I started with the deep fried dill pickles-Hey, it's Wisconsin-and they appeared to be a purchased item from Sysco Foods. They weren't bad, but I guess you expect homemade from a place like this. And I went with the Mushroom Swiss burger for my main. I ordered it medium rare, against the advice of every food scientist, living or dead, and that was a bit of a mistake. Nutz Deep is a pretty decent bar. As a guy who doesn't drink, I can't comment on the beer or alcohol selection. As an avid consumer of burgers and fries, I CAN speak to the quality of the greasy eats. In short, the burgers are very good. I don't want to go as far as say they are great, but they are definitely very good. They're probably tied or slightly better than the burgers at Brown's Bar. I like the service at Nutz Deep and think the prices are fair. As a non-native of Wisconsin, it's difficult to compare this place to other bars in town, but I can confidently say that you can do worse than Nutz Deep. It's recommended. read more

I came in here to watch a Packers game one Sunday afternoon when I was visiting town. They have a lot of tables and plenty of TVs. During the game they turned had the TV sound coming through the bar's main speaker system so you could hear the game. That is a must for any bar in my opinion during Packers games. Stopped here for dinner on a business trip. I had the mac and cheese burger. It was very good. Food came out fast too and our server checked on us regularly. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because they weren't able to make flavored margahritas. read more

Your waitress made excuse after excuse as to why our order was messed up and why she wasn't asking us for more drinks. She actually told us our daughter didn't get her pretzel she ordered because she thought she just said cheese sauce, even though we didn't get cheese sauce either. I have eaten here once with my husband and the Blue Cheese burger is pretty darn good, not as good as the one at Moonies in Cedar Park, Texas... But pretty darn good... The service is Aces and the iced tea is damn good too! I am pretty sure we will eat here again in the future though the prices are a bit on the high side for what you get. read more

Inconsistent quality on the fish fry. Staff appears busy but I note a lot of empty handed trips.... lots of walking around and not a lot of serving. My waitress forgot: 1) The appetizer. 2) My daughter's hot chocolate 3) The hot sauce I asked for 4) The sauce with my son's gyro. It took 40 minutes to get any food from the time we sat down.... even though I ordered an appetizer. The fish was dry... in the past the walleye here was excellent. Overall I would say what is lacking here is some professional training for the staff. I waited tables in a formal service restaurant that would pump out 1200 fish fries on a Friday night, we were able to do it because of good training. I placed my pick up / phone order on Monday 8/03/15 The order consisted of the following items; !/3 pound Bacon Cheese burger Nutz Deep Burger Onion Rings Deep fried cheese curds First off let me tell you that ! was charged 31.00 for the above items. Short and sweet. If you are charging premium prices, you should be putting out near premium fare. Disappointingly, the burgers were stock pre made frozen patties. At ND2's prices these patties should always be made the same day fresh from ground chuck or better, and seasoned just before cooking. The onion rings also fall into the "should be also be homemade daily" category All that is needed to make a far superior to frozen onion rings are onions, pancake batter, flour, and Panko / Japanese tempura breadcrumbs. I could see ND2 taking their menu to much loftier heights with just a few small upgrades I have 4 decades of working experience in every imagined food service situation, and the bottom line here is I was just really looking forward to a better burger experience, what I got was disappointment. read more

Very friendly staff and the food is amazing. Had the pretzel for appetizer along with some boneless wings. Shared a burger with my best friend and it was plenty of food. Stopped in because I heard the burgers were great. I had the cheese curd burger. I was happy to find out I had the choice between 1/4 and 1/2 lb burger. The 1/4 was more than enough since it was topped with a bunch of cheese curds and a smokey chipotle sauce. The bun was fresh and lightly toasted. I walked in and the waiter asked if I was looking for a seat. Why else would I be there? I had a burger, cheese curds, and beer. The burger didn't come with a side, according to the waiter. He did bring it out with store-bought chips though. It was all very good food. The waiter took my beer before I was finished and I had to stop him from taking the cheese curds before I was finished! Visited Marshfield and this was the best food we had all week! Burgers are amazing(and huge!), and the service was just as good. We sat next to a very loud table of kids but our waitress quickly cleared a table across the restaurant so we could move. She was very attentive and food came out quickly for a busy lunchtime. Drove out of our way to give this a try; super clean, super friendly with a young staff doing things you just don't see anymore. A couple gets up, they move into action to clean up. Best burgers around period. They have other food that is really good as well but if you come here its probably because someone told you where to get an excellent burger. I have probably come here at least half a dozen times for lunch and dinner and never left disappointed. Don't let the name or exterior turn you away as the inside it very nice and comfortable.
