There's a breakdown somewhere between the folks who schedule the work, the folks who bill, and the folks who come out to complete it. Nothing wrong with the chimney, just the cap needs a facelift. Also, sales rep was unprofessional, deriding the roof job, telling me that the roofers did not use synthetic felt or over-ice water shield: both of these are clearly in the original contract. And criticized the stepped flashing (claiming that hem sealed flashing is superior and stepped flashing is a downgrade): did some digging, and stepped flashing is recommended for my particular application. An estimate came to me: the link did not work. After repeated asks, a screen shot came to me. The estimate was very pricey.
