Door to door salesmen ignored No Solicitation sign and when I pointed out the sign he said he's not trying to sell me anything and then tried to ask me about my solar and if I'm getting all of my rebates. I told him it was none of his business and that he needs to leave but he refused. I asked him if he was from the solar company that we hired or from the Utility company which he admitted he was not from either. Again I told him to leave my property immediately and he kept harassing me about my utilities. Accosting sales tactics in an attempt to avoid clearly posted NO Soliciting signs. Too aggressive and insulting sales person

A Nusun sales rep caught me home and although I was hesitate to listen to his presentation, he piqued my interest by stating that this a FREE FEDERALLY FUNDED PROGRAM TO INSTALL SOLAR PANELS ON QUALIFIED HOMES. He assured me that there would be no cost to me. So with 3 other people present listening to his presentation, he repeated many times that the PG&E bill would be a set amount each month, which was lower than the current bill. So like a DUMMY I signed. Also thought that Nusun was the only company involved, I later found out that Bright Ops would do the installation and that this was being backed by Everbright. This was like a pyramid. It starts with Nusun to gather information, turns it over to a broker who agrees to finance it and when everything checks out, they turn it over to the installation crew. When the work is done, Everbright sends you a notification TELLING you this is what you will be paying each month for the NEXT 25 YEARS. The total cost was over $75,000!!!!! So much for free panels. I have called all three companies and they said that they have never heard of this FREE PROGRAM BY THE GOVERNMENT. So this sales person LIED to me. He withheld information that would have allowed me to make a much different choice. I asked for a printed copy of the contract but never received it. Not until three days ago did I get all the information that was withheld from me. But unfortunately for me it is too late. All three companies fall back on the fact that they have my signature on the contract. However, if I had received page one where it states the total cost, I wouldn't be here posting this. All I can say it don't take them at face value. Be sure of what you are getting and what the cost will be. I will NOT RECOMMEND NUSUN TO ANY ONE. I'M NOT SURE I WOULD RECOMMEND SOLAR TO ANYONE EITHER. YOU SAVE DURING THE YEAR, BUT WHEN TRUE UP IS DUE THAT CAN BE THOUSANDS. I don't think NUSUN even deserves a star. read more

Night after night this company keeps sending aggressive sales reps to my home. They are rude and refuse to leave when I ask them to.

I dislike door-to-door sales, period. The NuSun Power salesmen are the worst. They are even worse than the ones from the Sunrun. I told the first salesman from NuSun I'm not interesting and sent him away. I thought it was a done deal but he came back the next day. At that point I just closed the door and told him not to come back and that I'm not interested at all. Well, a day later another NuSun dude shows up at my door. I could tell, he had a NuSun logo on his shirt. Before he even opened his mouth I told him to go away and never and never come back. I hope I'm done with them, but who knows? Anyway, I did some research on both companies, Sunrun and NuSun, and the reviews are mostly, like 90% negative. Neither their websites clearly provide information on their business model. Hence, for these companies not being transparent out front, I'm certain they are some kind of scam. I'm judging such from their opening statement that the solar system is mine for free. To my question "How do you make your money out of this?" there is either vague answer or none. For all of you out there who are looking into the solar power, do your research, not only with the installer companies but also with your local power provider, local permits rules and perhaps have a lawyer study the contract before you sign. read more

Even after yelling, threatening to call police and shutting our door, he still stood there and argued. I would give them less than a star of I could.I've never worked with such a horrible company before. 1.They promissed a back up interface(That's the only reason we chose solar, we have alot of blackouts in our area). 2.They also promissed us 6 months free (Which again wasn't honored). 3.They had rewritten our contract and didn't honor it. 4.The manager that signed us up, won't respond to our calls or emails. Arthur Ortega, is his name, so watch out!He acts like your best friend to get you to sign up and then vanishes. I did not hire them but... they don't give you a quote or send someone out to give you a quote till you sign a contract. They say you can get out of the contract up to installation but if you actually READ the contract there are caveats. Which they did not expect me to do. They sent it to me in an email after having to fill it out and then go through the "highlights" over the phone and say... "sign here". No company should insist or expect one to sign a contract without reading the entire contract first! They are a broker and guarantee they'll get you the best company but can change it up to installation. That's in the contract but they don't highlight that little bit of info. A customer has very little control of the entire process. Again, I did not hire them but based on other reviews the customer service is not good and they don't follow up with whatever company they hire. If you choose to go with them, make sure you read the contract! read more

A salesperson came to my door impersonating SCE, using scare tactics, and insisting on talking to me when i told him to leave. I was scared because nothing sounded right, and I closed the door. I called SCE telling them i saw the name Nusun on the guy's shirt as he walked away. An SCE employee said Nusun is a solar company, and asked if I would like to report the incident to the SCE fraud department. I found similar reviews all over the internet. In my opinion, it's ridiculous this type of harassment at the front door of someone's private property isn't illegal. It helps encourage me not to trust anyone selling anything! read more

Beware of this company and their tactics. They use high-pressure sales tactics, showing up at your door uninvited, insisting on seeing your power bill (wanting you to log in on their tablet which I refused to do). The engineer they sent to talk to me wasted an hour of my time explaining solar to me like I'm an idiot. I made him discuss it outside but he was pushy with wanting to come in. Afterwards, I said I expected an email with all the details so I could review and consider; one never arrived. Then today I answered a call from a number I didn't know because I thought it was Door Dash. Instead it was a high pressure salesman from NuSun who was asking me again for my utility bill info, and making excuses when I said the company already had the details but had failed to send me anything in writing. Kept changing the subject instead of addressing anything I said. I finally hung up and blocked the number, but I think now that the large number of spam calls I didn't answer recently came from them. Whatever you do, turn them away at the door, and do not give them any information. The entire thing feels like a scam and not a legitimately run business. read more

We were interested in solar panels and Jacob Howie came to the door one day. From the start of this process Jacob was helpful, knowledgeable and accessible. He stayed with us the entire time. Anytime we had a question or needed information Jacob always got the information and called me back right away. Even after our panels were installed Jacob continued to be available.
