I drive by this place all the time and never thought anything of it. Well I googled best pizza and this place came up. Went for pickup and the lot had a lot of cars also picking up. There was like 6 people working there. It must get busy. The girl who was taking phone orders was super sweet. I watched her take an order and she was even smiling The pizza was delicious. Their regular slice really good and their pepperoni "chips" so good and only like $.80 cents. I also agree it's their sauce. Also garlic knots are super seasoned in a good way. I've been looking for THE pizza place near me and although nunzio's is a little out of the way it's worth the drive because dangggg their pizza is fire !! I think it's the sauce that makes it. I ordered a plain pie (really the only way to judge a pizzeria) and was blown away. Top notch. The place itself is a little on the run down side if you ask me but i picked up and could care less about what their dining area was like when the food was so good. Parking was difficult - I accidentally pulled into the storefront next door because it's right off a major road and at night was a little hard to distinguish where the entrance was. My only complain is about the parking lot so yeah I'd say this was a home run! Pizza over everything. Been going to this old style Italian Resturant for a few years now. Never have I had a bad meal. The owner Nunzio comes out and says hi to everyone like your familia. We called Nunzio's because they were recommended by a local funeral home. We came in from all over the country to a graveside service and looked forward to a visit with all the folks who came in for the funeral. They said they would accommodate us but it turned out that they were closed on Sunday. Didn't eat there, can't comment on the food, but this should have been obvious. read more

This is a great local pizzeria. You can sit down at tables and order other Italian foods, but their pizza is excellent. Crispy thin crust and good cheese and sauce. I've never been disappointed. Conveniently located on 109 with a decent sized parking lot. Good place to stop when you're on the go. Friendly service too. read more

In my search of really good pizza on Long Island I somehow overlooked Nunzios. I've reviewed over a hundred pizzerias in the past 4 months and I live in West Babylon and have not found the best local place. This is it. I'm a well done pizza guy, thin and crispy and great taste. They check all 3 of these boxes. Even their deep dish was somehow crisp and firm on the bottom and the end had this really great chewy texture. Old school pizzeria vibe inside, basic, no fan fair. Everyone there are helpful and friendly. On the barstool scale I would give it an 8.2 which means you make the extra drive to get something you like. read more

We were visiting from NJ and we were looking for great Italian food- this was def the place we were looking for! The owner Nunzio came out to make sure everything was to our liking - we enjoyed the garlic bread with moz cheese- so much yummy garlic! We had the Chicken Milanese and Chicken Parm and they were both fabulous. The pasta and sauce with the chicken parm were perfection. Simple and elegant and delicious - exactly what we were looking for! Our waitress TerryAnn was so sweet and very quick to take our orders and circle back if we needed anything! I like to believe I'm fair when it comes to Yelp Reviews. I just ask for three main things; atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. That alone and you will get four stars from me. But if you can't meet my criteria on at least one, than in my opinion you're a sinking ship. I came to "Nunzio's Pizza Town" because of the convenience. I found a spot quick in the mini parking lot because there weren't many cars around. Heading inside I can see the place was a bit dated. They played no music and the lighting was low. They had nice seating in the back, but I wasn't looking to stay long. When I approach the counter I felt the staff was at defcon three. They weren't pleasant and only seem to be about work. I looked over their specialty slices and got two. I like blue cheese with my buffalo slice and asked for some. The guy at the counter said "I have to charge a dollar." Nice! No welcome first, just about money. I reluctantly paid my dollar and got my two slices. My full experience so far put me off, but how was the food? Another big let down sorry to report. The buffalo slice didn't taste like buffalo. It almost tasted like marinara. Maybe they ran out of buffalo sauce and substituted. I can definitely say it wasn't what I was expecting. When it comes to surprises however, I saved the best for last. I got a meat stuffed! That's right, I slice stuffed with cheese and meat. A slice no man can live without.....unless it was this particular one. It was thick but deceptive. You see the dough was thick, making the slice look big, but the cheese and meat was applied to the top only. Sort of like a regular slice. I wasn't happy about that. I ate my two slices and left. I made the effort not to look back, not because I had fear of turning to stone, it was more like, I only wanted to see this restaurant once because I'm pretty sure I'm never going again. read more

People are always talking up New York Pizza, and we chose Nunzio's Pizza Town to start. We came in pretty late, so I get that they are exhausted from a whole day's work. However, complaining should be behind closed doors, not within earshot of the customers. As soon as the food was done, we rushed out so they can get cleaned up and head home. Once home, the whole pizza shifted and a lot was off to the side on the cardboard. I figured it was just because it was really hot, so I wait a sec and let it cool down. But regardless it was so messy that I'm wasn't able to pick a slice up. Couldn't fold it, couldn't use a fork and knife, couldn't even scoop it with two hands. Mind you, it was delicious, but it was too annoying to eat. After a few bites I didn't even care anymore. I think maybe at earlier times of the day, it's probably fantastic, but it really lacks later in the day even during open hours. Give it a shot anyway, I say. Like I said, still very delicious, but check them out earlier. read more

I stopped here while working for lunch on the advise of a colleague. I'm glad I did. I ordered a regular slice of and a slice of their pepper pie. Both were great. The crust was crispy from start to finish and the cheese was (ready for this) real cheese with plenty of stretch. The way God intended. The pepper slice was just as crispy and the sweet bell pepper (marinated overnight with crushed red pepper and OO) was delicious. Just the right amount of "heat". Can't wait to come back to try their calzone which I'm told is deep fried. The way I remember it from Italian feasts in Brooklyn. Again. Good eats ---- update 2/27/19 -- Again this place was awsome. I had the same two slices as last time and it was just as good. However, this time I left with a bag of hot Zeppoles. OMG, I thought I was at the Feast of our Lady of Mt Carmel in Brooklyn. I swear next time I'm going to try the Calzone. I haven't found a better Pizza joint in Suffolk County. read more

Went here for a big family dinner and sat in the back restaurant part. We walked in the front entrance, looked around at the pizza counter and booths. This area is not very clean looking or inviting, and has a slight dingy feel to it. The floors were filthy and the ladies room was out of order, so we had to use the men's room which hadn't been cleaned in quite some time. From the reviews I see on here, this looks like it would be a better experience if I just ordered a slice of pizza (to go). The back end of the place looks more updated in decor and has a more restaurant feel to it. Wait staff was friendly and service was good. My only complaint is that they took plates from some people before they were finished eating and seemed to be rushing us. Huge pet peeve of mine in any place I dine in. As for the food in the back restaurant, the appetizers were tasty- had baked clams, very salty but still good enough to eat. We were also served fried calamari, muscles (which were my favorite) and garlic bread, all served family style. The entrees however were EXTREMELY SALTY. I only had a quarter of my chicken Parmesan, which was very tough. I wouldn't come here again to dine in. May possibly try the pizza next time I'm in the area. read more

Our family went for lunch following the burial of one of our own. It was a somber day for us all. The staff was not only efficient and friendly but also kind and compassionate. These ladies were remarkably helpful. Nunzio himself was there as he knows many of us personally. He is a superlative human being and still going strong at age ??? (maybe 115 LOL). True story...this place was once owned by a midget who drove a red corvette, just like in the Prince song. He was the original little Ceasar. Nunzio's was actually better than expected. There is a nice dining room hiding in the back that lacks the grease and bustle of the front counter. The service back there was good, but not as good as the delicious ham and cheese calzone. It arrived with a crispy, deep-fried crust and a soft, creamy, cheesy interior. Just order one already! The pizza was fresh and tasty, hotter than a June bug on Georgia asphalt. Get enough to bring a few slices home to feed to your pet Llama. Or eat it all yourself and let the Llama fend for itself in the cupboard. Either way, Grumpy will be back around again. read more

Pizza Town was founded 3 yrs before I was born - and I'm sorry I was late! As a kid, I can remember my father driving past 150 pizza places to get to "Pizza Town" and every time I'm back in town I still do. For me, Tony and his team serve the best home-cooked Italian food on Long Island, Nunzio's is a very special place for me. The staff was friendly, and the pizza was good. They have a good variety of pizza by the slice. When I commented jokingly about the sign that states the "pizza slices were for display only," the man behind the counter jokingly noted that they were all for sale, and that if I could eat all of them the meal would be on the house. I had the spicy pepper pizza (which was really nice and spice), and the chicken bacon blue cheese pizza. They were both very good, but not the best but I have ever had. To be fair, that is a high standard (I love my pizza and take it very seriously), so I would go to this place again. The crust on both was nice and crispy, but the chicken seemed to be highly processed. One note about the atmosphere and environment, it may have just been the day I was there, but it was chilly in the restaurant. I left my jacket on while I ate my meal. read more

We had a party of about 15 people and I must say. This place is probably the best priced with some of the best Italian food I have had. I cannot say enough good things about Nunzios Pizza Town. I will say if you are looking to book someplace to go after a communion, christening or really anything and you have less than 30 people. This place is hands down the best price per person. You will leave full and still have money left over. We will be definitely using them again in the future. Also the owner Nunzio is super nice and the wait staff is courteous and attentive.
