DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR LAMINATE VINYL FLOORING INSTALLATIONS!!…read more THIS IS THE TEXT I SENT TO CONVERSE FLOORING: Hello Laurie, this is Greg DeBré and I just wanted to let you know what was going on with our flooring. We are replacing all the flooring you installed 5 years ago, which we discussed. Here is what we have learned so far as we completed the bedroom yesterday: 1. There were NO major dips or uneven areas in the concrete which is what your installer claimed to be the cause of our issues. 2. There was NO vapor barrier installed as is required on all installations over concrete slab subfloors. 3. There were NO expansion gaps as is required by all flooring manufacturers for laminate flooring installations. In other words, everything that could have been done incorrectly was exactly that; an extremely faulty and poor installation. I will update you on the livingroom replacement when it is completed next week. I expect to find the same outcome there. The installation Converse provided was terrible and caused all the damage we incurred. As you refused to take any responsibility or even to come look at the problems, there has no way I was going to allow your company to do any further work in our house. This is a shame because your work installing our carpet upstairs and HD linoleum in our laundry room was excellent. Converse should not be selling and installing vinyl plank flooring as that is not something you do successfully. I've informed the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (OCCB) which unfortunately will not follow up as your installation was over 1 year ago, which is their time limit. They did inform me that I have 6 years to take legal if I choose to do so. We were trying to avoid any type of litigation but your actions have made us rethink that position.

I used West-coast flooring to install carpet in my new home. They came highly recommended by the…read morestore I purchased the product from. I'm torn by this review because the installation of the product was professional and it turned out beautifully. It did take quite awhile for them to come to install, but that was understandable due to the high volume of need in my area. The problem I have with the business is that I sent several remnants of carpet with them to have rugs made for my home, and it has been 8 months and I have not gotten the rugs. I have made several calls to the business and was assured that progress was being made. The business has never contacted me in the 8 months. I even left a message asking them just to let me know if the remnants had been lost and there was no reply. The carpet was very expensive and had I known this would be the situation I would have gone with the company I originally purchased the carpet from. This is unfortunate as I really enjoyed working with Matt and his crew.

The original bid was 16,000$ for demo old flooring, subfloor, snap together plank flooring, and base. This project took 3 weeks; the old flooring had to be removed from property by me, and after a down payment of $6,000, I still had to pay an additional $9600. This business charges more than they should and this is unscrupulou!. Bad Business!!!
