One thing that my friend told me today that I didn't appreciate and think it's rude is when we were clarifying prices the nail tech/owner (maybe) asked if we are from here because locals don't ask prices. I think it's better to clarify the price so this way you can have expectation of the service and experience. I had an appointment on Monday at 5:00pm. This was to be my first visit here. I Arrived 10 minutes late. They had started someone else so I waited 45 minutes. I asked about different options for my nails and Jimmy seemed annoyed with my questions. He proceeded to give me the absolute worst set of nails I have ever had in 35 years. They are ridiculously wide, unnatural looking and not even filled to the edge on some nails. This photo was taken 72 hours after I had them done. I paid $45 for this garbage. Amy gave me a good pedicure, However I will never set foot in there again. Do yourself a favor and find another salon in Port St. Lucie. read more

This was the first place I've gone to for my nails since covid happened March 2020. I am so happy that I researched what nail salon to go to. This one had great reviews especially with cleanliness, which is important during a pandemic! The people were so nice and helpful. Also Kui did a fantastic pedi and my eyebrows! I feel it is my obligation to my fellow Yelpers to inform you of of how I was badly I was treated at this salon. The worst possible service I have ever have encountered. Rude and rough. When you walk in salon looks immaculate. Then you are barked at what do you want? Rude. Barked at where to sit. Woman grinds down with so much pressure removing prior gel off I had to say too hot! Rough. Whatever happened to acetone and foil wrap? Man comes over, does not say hello or make any eye contact, snatches by hand, then they communicate in their native tongue. Rude & rough. Throws my hand back at me. Beyond rude. My every instinct telling me to get out of there, but I was sooo pressed for time and needed nails done I thought that was the worst of it. Not. Changed my mind what I wanted so I could to get out of there quicker and the man again barked at me to go to a different table to look at colors. He follows me there and instantly and impatiently begins tapping his fingers on the table the second I sat down. WTH!? Good reviews here? You've got to be kidding me. He could not have been any rougher, zero personality, did not even bother with cuticles, left them all rough and ragged. Pedicure was mediocre, nothing special. I couldn't wait to get out of that place. Was charged more than I was quoted. Mumbled the explanation. As soon as I was able I went to another salon and had all their bad work and bad vibes removed off of my nails. Yes, it was that bad. Waste of money and precious time. I have been in the service industry my entire life and would never even consider treating another human being the way I was treated. Visited this shop for the first time last week after my regular shop had closed for vacation. When Jimmy explained healthy nails to me that have no chemicals, I was sold. I've had acrylics for years and would love to have my own nails. He did the healthy nails for me and I love them..no more acrylics! It's been a little over a week and they still look beautiful! I have been going to this location for about a year. I'm very impressed with the cleanliness and service that this salon gives all clients. I'm very happy with the ability to make an appointment and they stick to the actual appointment unlike other local spots. I get the dip powder and my nails consistently last over 3 weeks. Pedicure holds up as well. Amy is also the only one to ever get my eyebrows right, and I've tried several places in the past. I highly recommend #1 nails. read more

Awful. Shady business practices. They have gone beyond nickle and diming on the price and are downright stealing at this point. The female stated that there was a $10 price increase on the basic pedicure because I wanted gel polish but when I said I was getting the "deluxe" and not basic she increased the price to $12. No where is this posted in the shop and if it's a $10 difference for gel then why would you try to strong arm me out of more money on top of that? I do not recommend. Went to this salon for the first time based on a previous yelp recommendation. I just moved to the area from Connecticut and had tried two previous salons and was extremely disappointed. I went here after looking for nail salons around Port St. Lucie, this one had pretty good reviews and was nearby so I tried it out. I went with my sister since she wanted to do her nails for the holidays as well. I went in for a refill and gel nail polish change and a repair on my right thumb nail as well as a pedicure. I was helped by the gentleman that works here, who I believe is the owner. My issue is here: on the nail that needed repair I asked to match the shape of my other thumb nail, which is more of a square coffin shape. I left the shop with an unnaturally large, very boxy, square right thumbnail compared to all the other nails. I asked him, even before I sat on the chair, multiple times to match the shapes so it doesn't look odd. He just nodded and said that it looked the same, knowing VERY well it doesn't. When we got home my sister and I both noticed that the acrylic was very thick on the tip of our nails, which made it look even more unnatural. I rated this a 3 because the nail polish lasted for 3 weeks, and if it weren't for growth and the uncomfortable odd thumb nail I could've gone 2 more weeks. They were friendly, but most likely won't be returning due to the shape they do their nails. read more

My 12 year old daughter and I happened upon #1 Nails when we went out to get a pedicure this past weekend. We are from NY and just randomly stopped here when the first place we went to could not accomodate the both of us at once. The owner was very welcoming and told us they were new and had only been open for 6 months. I highly recommend this nail salon to anyone who is in the area. If you haven't tried them you should. I was in dying need of a spa pedicure. Especially being a mother of two with no time on my hands for myself. I stopped by a few nail salon prospects but they were all booked since today is the eve of thanksgiving. I fortunately, found this gem. As soon as I walked in I was greated by everyone working at the salon. I went in for a full leg waxing and a spa pedicure. The lady that did my hair was gentle. So for all those sensitive customers out there in the port St. Lucie area she's your girl. She was quick and gentle. Mind you I came in an hour before closing. After my full leg waxing she then proceeded to do my spa pedicure. My nails and feet are on point. Spa pedicure wasn't bad in terms of price. I unfortunately, didn't take a picture of the pedicure packages along with the prices. Total amount I paid was 80 dollars for both services. I don't think the price is bad at all considering I felt like I was in a spa More so, another place I went to prior to #1 nails the price for full legs waxing was 60 dollars. I'm Not paying 60 dollars for leg waxing especially if my legs weren't hairy as sasquatch. Lastly, most importantly is the place is clean. Everything was clean from tools to pedi sinks. Horrible service!...I came in for an eyebrow wax yesterday...now I have a huge chunk missing from my right eyebrow. The tech tried to make every excuse in the book. I was embarrassed to have to walk around until I could get to a cvs for an eyebrow pencil. This was such an inconvenience, not to mention I have to walk around making sure it doesn't rub off or else I'll look like an idiot. They didn't even offer a refund so basically I paid for 3-4 weeks of hell until the hair grows back. NEVER AGAIN!!!!! read more
