To start with, the place is very cool on the inside. It has an amazing antique bar, and just as the…read morename says, boat memorabilia everywhere. The staff was terrific, too. Our server, Leah, was very pleasant and met our every need. I'm extremely picky about tartar sauce and she brought me out plenty to try and then when I loved it, more to enjoy with their excellent fries. I thought it was the best I've ever had in a restaurant. We all enjoyed our meal and my daughter loved her Fettuccine Alfredo especially. My walleye sandwich was incredible, too, especially since that tartar sauce was so phenomenal. One thing that really caught my eye was how hard the hostess was working. I don't think I've ever seen someone of her generation with such an amazing work ethic. It was kind of fun to watch her do her thing. If I had a company of my own locally, I would definitely be working to hire her. I didn't get her name, a d she looked awfully young to own the place. She acted as if she did, however. Amazing!

A great Wisconsin staple. Husband and kid both got the fried cod. I got the broiled (so happy for that option as I love fish just can't do the breading). Everything was hot and delicious. Baked potatoes were delish and huge !! The bar has a great selection of tap beer and I also had a great cranberry vodka (from northwater distillery) that had a little spice to it with diet sprite (thanks for having diet!!)

The staff was friendly but the restaurant was quite noisy and busy with children. My husband rated the pizza a 3 and I rated the pizza a 2. He thought the crust, although very thin, was still too "bready" and filling. I rated the pizza a 2 because it was very greasy, I didn't care for the crust, and it gave me instant heartburn. *Also to note, the restaurant doesn't have any windows and the women's restroom only has one stall. Not very convenient with so many people dining/hanging out.

Video games included crappy old shoot em um game marketed towards deer hunters. Also there were a few bins with old stuffed animals with the crane which looked like they were there from 1990. Atmosphere: 2 We ordered 3 pizzas, 1 cheese, 1 half pepperoni half sausage, and one deluxe. They asked if we wanted canned or fresh mushrooms on the deluxe, which I thought strange but some kids don't like the texture of fresh. The sauce tasted like from a low quality jar sauce; like something you would find on a shelf in a gas station convenient mart. The pizza was served in the square cut fashion. Crust was thin and a bit over cooked. It's the type of food you eat when you are hungry and need something to eat or you've had too many drinks to care. The fresh mushrooms ended up being the only thing that tasted good. Food quality: 1 Any frozen pizza in better than this cuisine. Overall if you are real hungry and you're already sitting down, order the minimum to not be hungry. Better yet, run for the hills, then go home and heat up a frozen pizza to improve your day.

The service was very good and it was fun to watch the waitress come to the table with three big mugs of root beer in one hand I won't say it actually made me feel like I was in Germany, but it was a lot of fun. We unfortunately had a really bad experience and hadn't even made it to getting our waters yet…read more.. what a disappointment after my husband had grown up going to Minocqua in the summers and was so pumped to finally try Otto's, as he had never been yet. You know that red flag feeling you get after you're seated and no server acknowledges your presence? That was this place. And it was actually the second red flag. When the hostess seated us in the outdoor garden area she informed us it would be 45 minutes until food came out. Interesting information right from the get go. Our group of 5 was puzzled at this....many tables had just cleared out and it seemed that there was plenty of servers and bussers working to handle the amount of customers. From there it just went downhill even further. We ended up finally talking to someone asking if we could switch tables to get out of the direct sun. It took them WAY too long to clear the table they told us we could move to. In the meantime, no one had yet come over to at least give us waters. Once finally at our new table and acknowledged by a server, we put in our drink orders which we kept to waters only because we were at this point questioning bailing. After many minutes of waiting for our waters and never receiving them, we called it quits. We got up and told the server it's been too long, and checking the time it had been 20 MINUTES WITH NO WATERS. The last and worst nail in the coffin was that my mom had a view of our server who had in fact filled our waters towards the back of the garden area and then set them on a tray....and then....was just standing around. Literally. We also witnessed a busser moving at incredibly slow speeds and other servers seeming "busy" but not sure with what....There was absolutely no reason for the delays we experienced. We think the only explanation for all this was that there are simply far too many inefficient workers. Or workers with no sense of urgency or awareness to help one another out. It was quite sad to witness and should be even sadder for the business that they missed out on a customer, and in turn receives a bad review. What a bummer. Will never return.

Just not my fave. Went with a raspberry lemon drop next that was delectable! We came around 4:30 for an early dinner and were seated promptly. By the time we left around 6:00, the place was absolutely packed and for good reason. Service was prompt and the dining area was nicely decorated and not overcrowded. Our waitress was Melanie, and she was very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu options with some great recommendations. Appetizers were great -- stuffed mushrooms and haystack onions. For dinner, I went with the seafood stuffed salmon. The other two in our group both had the NY strip. One with mushrooms. The other with au poivre sauce. Everything was delicious and the portions were great. Finished off with a brandy Alexander and an espresso, both amazing. We'll definitely be adding this place to our rotation in the area for when we want to do a more upscale/pricy spot. Worth the stop for sure!
