Chicken teriyaki from BB Kitchen food truck

What an awesome find in Tomahawk, Wisconsin of all places... In cheese country... The beauty of living in the United States of America! Authentic Thai food from a food truck being enjoyed on a warm late summer day as 7,000 Harley bikes are entering the city. My chicken pad Thai was excellent... Fresh and so very tasty. Hubby enjoyed his chicken teriyaki with steamed rice. The pork and spring rolls were all fresh and delicious. Such an unexpected dining pleasure when and where we least expected it! Wisconsin you're a delightful place to visit!!! We will be back for more adventures.

Pannang Curry and Pad Thai. Delicious!

We've visited here a total of 3 times before writing this review. I am not related nor do I know…read morethe owners personally so there is no bias here. What caught my attention was the banh mi sandwiches. I find it difficult to find a decent sandwich in the area. Some has too much watered pickled veggies or there may not be pate in it, so I wanted to try instead of relying on other's review. With that said, I'll get to the point and say the banh mi's are pretty good. It has a nice ratio of veggies to meat and yes, it has pate. The jalapeño is sliced thinly, just like I like it, so I'm able to handle the heat. The baguette is not toasted but it has a nice hard shell and soft inside. The meats, we got a pork one, are seasoned well. The veggies, mainly carrots, were pickled nicely. It's not dripping wet. Now for the pho, it was alright. The broth was cloudy but also seasoned well. The sliced meat did not taste fresh. I've eaten boiled freezer burnt meats before and that's how it tasted like. Not pleasant. The service was fast. I've been here to pick up just sandwiches before and I've waited no more than 10 minutes. We waited about 10 minutes when we did dine in. There were only another couple there so that may be the reason for the quick service. They bring their kids to this establishment? I heard a toddler crying from the back and kitchen area. The bathroom was clean. The decor is simple and minimal. Overall, I will return if I'm in the area. The owners were pleasant and location was easy to find with plenty of parking.

Went here for lunch with a friend during the week. They seemed short staffed but were doing the…read morebest they could-- this isn't uncommon during COVID and I don't think they should get dinged for that in a review-- businesses are doing the best they can. That said, if you have a strict hour lunch, you may want to see if you can call ahead. We were there about 55 min total (actually in the restaurant) which didn't leave us much drive time (but luckily, being just ten min late or so isn't a big deal for either of us) I ordered the Pho and it was pretty good. It wasn't OMG good, but I wouldn't have any issue ordering it again. My friend ordered the chicken curry and said the flavor was good. It's served with a nice amount of rice. The only criticism they had was that it was all dark meat and not necessarily trimmed the best, but this friend prefers white meat, so it wouldn't have been rated perfect for that reason. We got meatballs as well and I really enjoyed those. When we were there, it was pretty busy, but the host was prompt and friendly, the open tables were clean... And that was with staffing seeming short, so they were obviously doing the best they could with service.

This is hand's down the best tasting and most authentic pho I've ever had at any restaurant!!! I…read moreordered the large and couldn't finish it. The broth was delicious even before adding anything. They are generous with the meat and noodles. And, the price was more than fair. We also had the papaya which was delicious!!! I wish I could go back but I live out of state. The service was friendly and prompt. The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. We sat at a booth that allowed us to look out at a beautiful tree across the street. It was a truly authentic and delicious Hmong meal. I'll definitely go back every time I'm in Wausau.

This is my go-to Hmong owned restaurant in Wausau. Some locals I know rate a restaurant based on…read morehow their pho tastes like and that's all they can say. You can eat way more different items than just pho here. They have everything from laab to Hmong sausage with sticky rice and of course, egg rolls. Ok, food is pretty average however their menu is extensive. The food tastes so, SO much better than the Hmong delis in the same area. Their pepper dip is delicious. Great location; right on South 3rd Avenue where I grew up as a kid. Private parking. The establishment was an old supper club back in my day. Nostalgic. The ambience need some work. Everything is dated and dark. Like a grandparents basement. I was bothered with the group sitting next us. One guy spoke as if his buddies were standing a half block away. Our server was quick on his feet and helpful with the menu. He answered questions promptly and gave us a heads up if an item would be delayed in preparing. So helpful. We didn't have to wait long to get our food. Shorter time than at the local Hmong deli, I can promise you that and the restaurant was half full. Would, and have, returned.
