HUGE menu, great personable folks working the truck, reasonable prices and great tasting food. Our family tried 4 different things, everything was good. No complaints at all. Locals (I am one) talk about Lindy's Hideaway as a "hidden gem" but I just don't get it nor want to get it. Lets get into it. Setup: First off, its 30 min from everywhere Three Lakes / Eagle River back off the highway / ol Military Road located on ones personal (house) property. There is no cell service (SOS only) ... we are talking Louisiana bayou vibe albeit in the north woods. You roll up in your car and park between ATVs and Trucks ... in the winter I could see it full of snowmobiles. There is a concrete block build bar on the street side and multiple tents (yes pole tents!) out back with hanging lights, mis matched tables, chairs and a collection of plastic skeletons, Witch paraphernalia. There are areas for horseshoes if you don't mind dog poop filled sand boxes (SMH). The "Kitchen" is a modified semi-fixed food truck that has a little wooden trellises between it and the primary tent. Did I mention the tent??? because one is eating outside... no walls, windows, you are in a tent... so that means weather, bugs, etc... plan accordingly. Tables are set up with buckets of napkins, silverware, S&P and paper plates.. garden vibe. Food: Here's the rub of this entire review... the food was good 2great... everyone in our party was pleasantly surprised! fried Brussel sprouts, artichoke dip off the charts - big city quality. YUM! Friday night fish fry, the baked cod, butter was cooked to perfection, soft, flaking white fish might be the best FFF I've had in Northwoods in years. Sooooooooooooooo why the 1/5 stars? Lets just say WTF!!! a few hundred times and be thankful we got home with only a few in our party having a melt down. We arrived onsite about 6:30 on a Friday and was told we had one party ahead of us... so we chilled on the lawn and got a few drinks from the bar. We were sat at 7:45. Once we sat, our orders were taken (a couple apps added) then we sat... sun started going down, temp drop and flying bugs coming out to join the party. waiting... waiting.... waiting.... about 8:45!!! a man at another table gets up and goes over to the "kitchen" food truck and says his party has been waiting for their food over an hour... and the staff there gets in his face with all sorts of "don't blame us" attitude. Meanwhile we still don't have our appetizers and our order was taken a hour ago. Within a few minutes, the pissed off dude and his party are getting their food... when anther person from 2 tables next to us does the same thing... they have a little girl in their party who is yelling out "I only ordered a cheese quesadilla... how long does that take to get?" LMAO.. it was cute if not very sad. The same staff got in the face of the mother, again with a we are not at fault attitude... a few minutes later the mom and their party of 8 just got up and left without their food... it was 9pm now and we still don't have our food. The party leaving results in the owner losing her mind... because "they didn't pay"... well guess what... they also didn't get their food! its now 9:15pm and our food finally comes... To tap the evening off... we go to pay the bill and find out they are CASH only facility... if not for my daughter having some tip money on her... we would have been SOL. So to summarize... really good food... in otherwise a nightmare.

I have NO idea what that meat was but it wasn't gyro meat. It was mushy and it looked like dog food not to mention that it tasted funny. This was definitely money wasted and it wasn't cheap.
