I had my conch piercing…read moredone at a reputable place in LA (not body manipulation) before I moved to SF but during the last 4-5 months ran into a number of issues- swelling back of ear, etc. I went to body manipulation twice for consultation and to get my earring swapped out and both Eldo and Alex were so knowledgeable and so helpful. They took the time to walk me through what was happening and also recommended that if the swelling and fluid filled bump behind my ear didn't settle down, to go get it drained (which I did and it's been great since). I wish I had gotten my piercing done here originally. Their pricing is reasonable and knowledge far deeper than other places I'm aware of. The after care service is insane and I recommend this place 10/10!

I came by today again to get my upper helix pierced and I had a very pleasant experience. An Asian gentleman (I think his name is Eldo?) assisted me with deciding where exactly I wanted to get pierced, as I was deciding between lower helix and upper helix/flat. I brought my own jewelry and he was able to sterilize it for me at no extra charge! He was super nice! Kenny did my piercing and explained the entire process to me, even though it wasn't my first piercing. I think that shows they take their job very seriously to ensure customers know how to care for their new piercings. I paid $40 for the piercing and tipped in cash. Parking can be tricky but overall, I highly recommend BM.

This amazingly talented artist, Airu (@honeybeetattoo_airu) doesn't usually do touch-ups or add color (after so many years later). But considering we went to her to mark the year my healing began, it was extremely important to go back to her to commemorate what I was celebrating that day - the official end to my breast cancer journey. Airu is the first and only female artist that tatted me. She is kind, friendly, meticulous, and clean. When she heard about the reason for doing this, she made the exception to make it happen. Marco greeted me and seemed friendly and inviting. I had a picture in my mind only of what i was thinking about. In just a few words I tried to explain to Marco what I saw in my head. Without even asking or speaking of money or anything else Marco whipped out a pencil and began to draw! Not surprisingly he practically nailed it in his first try. With a little discussion we changed a thing or two and voila! Exactly what I had imagined! Within a few days I had an appointment. I was well informed ahead of time any preparations I might need to make. I arrived on time and Marco made me feel welcome and relaxed. He went to work. I love it!
