This place has been here for years and I just started getting my hair here about a year ago when my hair dresser stopped selling my hair. They have an overwhelming amount of options but always have everything I need. Inflation has impact the hair world so much that my freetress crochet hair used to be 3.99 it is now 7.99. Yikes! I still need it. The family that owns the places is nice and helps you find what you need. I applaud the lady for knowing exactly where everything is and how much she has left.

I have been coming here for years. I read the reviews and still ventured in. It is messy but it's their organized mess and they KNOW where everything is at. They have such a large variety of braiding hair. That's mainly what I go there for. And it is conveniently located in Hayward off of mission. Before I found Nu-Hair I was going to Oakland. Try them out. They have just about anything you need for your new do.

Move along now. Nothing to see here. Just ten tons of...hair!!

The previous Yelper wasn't lying. HAIR IS LITERALLY EVERYWHERE. ZOMG. Synthetic hair, human hair, hair on a track, clip ins, enclosures, wigs, yellow extensions, blue extensions, braiding hair, Rasta-Afri hair, curly hair, straight hair, kanekalon hair, kinky curly hair....you name it they've got it. The problem? This place is cluttered like a hoarder's house!!!!!! I almost lost my mind walking in there. I reached for a package and a kanekalon braid fell on my dome, er, head. I took pics because the state of this joint is unreal. I asked for help and got it. The Rasta-Afri hair I needed for my Senegalese twists was $2.99/per bag. They had color #3 which was amazing! My hair isn't quite a #2 and #4 is too reddish/light, so I've always had to choose between the two or get both and have my braider mix them in. If you need African-AMerican beauty supply products, this is the place.

I was pretty set in what I wanted. I wanted jet black 18-20" extensions. The problem was which brand to get. I went to Sally's next door and they ran about $120-$140 for a set. I went right next door, Nu Hair, to this Chinese hair store. Lots and lots hair from ceiling to floor and stacked on boxes in between the aisles. I looked around and was overwhelmed but how much different kinds of hair there was. I just walked up to the register and the nice lady helped me out and made a perfect recommendation. I said I want good quality, clip-in hair extensions in very dark jet black. I got exactly that. She recommended the Secret Sepia brand in 18" and it came out to 99.99 bucks before taxes. The other lady said, "You like cah (She was trying to say car)? This like Mercedes Benz." Lol I was sold when I felt it. Fairly priced considering really fancy ones can go for up to $200+. But I am a newbie and am more than pleased with my first set. They are beautiful and soft and I AM in LOOOOVE with my new extensions. I think I am newly obsessed with hair extensions now. I WANT MORE! And lucky me this place isn't far from home.

Always has what you need but don't try to get it yourself. Very tight space. Thankfully the staff will grab whatever you want.

Nu Hair is a bomb ready to explode. The beauty supply is dirty and has packages of hair on the floor and tables. Nothing was organized

I recently stopped by this location looking for jackets. The jacket selection was not the strongest, but they had plenty of other things that caught my eye. A lot of good sales! Their Levi's section is actually really solid. I ended up picking up a long sleeve shirt and a Levi's jacket, along with a few other items from different brands. I went in for one thing and walked out with more than I expected, which is usually a good sign. Overall, a nice stop with a surprising amount of good finds. I recommend checking it out if you're visiting Southland mall.

By the time I was actually checked in, I was already about 15 minutes into my appointment -- which is the total length of the session. As a result, the entire experience felt extremely rushed. There was no time to get comfortable, adjust poses, or capture quality photos. Unfortunately, the photos did not turn out well at all. Even with a discount, I paid $171 for all digital images, which were frankly very disappointing and not worth the price. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, especially considering the scheduling setup and cost. I expected much better quality and professionalism.

The Issue: Upon entering, I approached two employees who were busy chatting. I politely interrupted to ask for a specific product. Instead of showing me to the shelf, one of them just pointed vaguely toward an entire side of the store and said, "That will be over there." I spent several minutes wandering around unable to find it. It was disappointing to see staff prioritizing a personal Starbucks delivery over actually helping a guest on the floor. The Recovery: Everything changed when I went up to the front and spoke to a cashier named Helen. I showed her a photo of the product, and she didn't just point--she immediately told me exactly where it was and then walked over to assist me personally. She checked in to make sure I found everything I needed and was incredibly professional and kind. Final Verdict: If you visit this location, look for Helen. She is an African American woman who clearly understands what real customer service looks like. She saved the trip, but management should definitely look into the floor staff's lack of engagement.

My consultation was with Dr. Scott Chiang regarding several skin concerns. He explained all the different options and the pros and cons of each. For example, he explained there is a higher risk of PIH after fraxel with Asian skin. In the end, I decided to have a few small bumps (about 4-5) on my face removed via laser. If I did it that day, my consultation fee would go towards the cost of the procedure. The procedure took about 5-10 minutes and with each zap, Dr. Chiang would say, "that one's gone". The procedure was painless and with the after care instructions, everything healed in about 5 days with no scabbing. The bumps are gone and my face is smooth. Dr. Chiang referred me to an esthetician, Dana Schrieber, for my other skin concerns. Dana was also fantastic. On my first visit I spent about 45 minutes with her. She went over all the different options, and even let me see some of her own personal pictures from her own skincare journey. In the end, we decided to try the Obagi skincare system. She said I can email her anytime, and I'll have another check in with her in about a month. The price for the Obagi products through Kaiser is pretty much the same as the online price. I know there are online esthetician services, but it's nice to have someone I can see in real life taking care of my skin.

I'm not sure what her name is but shoutout to her she was so kind :) My issue was with one of the associates I asked a question to regarding a product I was interested in. After she mentioned she's never tried it, she started asking me what my skin care routine was. Honestly I had no issue with that, my issue was her hella critiquing my skin while making these faces (which I don't even think she realizes she makes). It definitely did not make me as a customer feel welcomed, and in the moment I literally said "I know my skin isn't the best right now" cause she just kept it up with her faces and comments. As I was mentioning my skincare routine before applying makeup, she cut me off asking if I exfoliate since she saw I had a few blemishes here and there, and this whole convo wasn't even supposed to be this deep about skincare. I was literally just asking about a makeup product... As a college student with acne prone skin i'm very aware I don't have glowing skin, it's a work in progress. But those faces and attitude was straight up unwarranted. I literally had to just walk away mid speech about her being a "skincare expert", like girl I get it you're trying to be somewhat helpful but there's other ways to assist customers than the way you did. I literally work in sales and there's so many other ways to treat customers that whatever that was.
