All were emphatic about us using him to fix all our fencing. Eric is an upright guy who takes pride in his work. His crue has been with him for years. We got bids from a couple of other companies, and Eric came in at nearly the same $ amount. The difference was the other bids were quoting "Pine" (which is cheaper and doesn't last as long) vs. Eric using Cedar (which lasts longer). His bid also included a Kickboard at the bottom that prevents wood rot at the bottom (required by Timmarron SOUTHLAKE HOMEOWNERS Association HOA). Also, Eric is aware of HOA fence color requirements and was included in bid. Since the weather was favorable, it took two days to both remove old fences, set new metal poles in cement, and build a new fence. One extra challeng... my neighbors yard sits higher than my yard and we had built a concrete wall to improve drainage. The concrete wall was built against the old fence. Eric was able to blend the new fence better than the previous fence. Just an excellent job. Eric is a great guy to work with, and his crew are professional and polite. The fence failed inspection because it was not installed in compliance with code. We have spent more than six months trying to resolve these issues directly with the company. Despite repeated requests, they have refused to correct the problems, forcing us to hire and pay another fencing company to bring the fence into legal compliance. They also installed a gate that swings the wrong direction and failed to install the required self-closing hardware on the walk-through gate for our pool fence. Our experience has been frustrating and expensive. We expected a safe, code-compliant installation but instead were left with significant safety and code violations that another contractor had to correct. Based on our experience, we cannot recommend Flores Fencing.
