Hands down the absolute worst shipping company I've ever come across. I will go out of my way to never use them again. They managed to lose 2 very large boxes of patio furniture with no apology, no resolution. I'm almost certain someone at their facility or one of their drivers stole the items since the tracking just vanished into thin air. They don't deserve even a 1 star rating. Ordered a heavy item from Amazon. Had date and time scheduled three weeks in advance from Amazon. Took off work on the scheduled day, along with two other people who did the same to help me assemble the 10x10 gazebo. Product arrived at NSD terminal three days prior to scheduled delivery only 45 miles away from my house. Delivery was not made and has not left the terminal. Called NSD at the number they provided and a recorded message said they would call me back when it was my turn in the Q. Waited several hours and nothing. Called Amazon and they contacted NSD and were told delivery was not made because they didn't have enough drivers to deliver item. NSD told Amazon they would contact me sometime in the next two weeks to set up another delivery day and time. They told Amazon to tell us not to call them again because they were not answering the phone calls from the public. SHAME on Amazon for hiring a company that would treat their customers that way. read more

They left me with a phone number that just goes to voice mail. I was able to call the lady that scheduled my time and she is looking into it. My tracking number for the damaged one is R5912548. The new one I purchased is 14864015. I purchased a vanity online from Home Depot. It came damaged to my house. I called Home Depot immediately. A Home Depot female told me she would put in an order to have NSD contact me so they could pick it up. At that time, I had to purchase a new vanity as the builder needed the vanity to install it. I did so. 1 1/2 weeks later..... I contacted Home Depot after 70 hours of trying to get in contact with NSD (via phone, CHAT, and email). I left voicemails, CHAT never responded and I never received a return email from them. I told Home Depot all of my attempted contacts. Home Depot said that I could take it to our local store for a refund or wait until NSD called me, which could take up to 3 weeks or so. My husband and I could not lift the vanity to put it in his truck so taking it to our local Home Depot store wasn't an option for us. I have yet to hear when the damaged vanity will be picked up so I can get my refund. (This was not a cheap vanity)! Unbelievable. I think this is terrible! Home Depot was not helpful at all. I have ordered a mattress from JC Penneys and paid $50 for white glove service. I need to reschedule my delivery and I have been trying to do it for 3 days. I called them more than 10 times, and each time they give a different excuse. Apparently their central can`t reach to the terminal locations and the terminals don`t look at their emails. One of the representatives gave a direct number and after some time, he stopped answering and hang up the phone when I called. How is it possible that a company can`t call or communicate with their local terminals or have an integrated scheduling system? The worst customer service. read more

Communication is in need of improvement. I was given two different delivery times that were not correct. When I finally got a delivery time my items were delivered an hour before I was told. I never got a 30-minute call-ahead like I was told. I wasn't there at delivery due to this and the delivery was missing pieces and some were damaged. I had no choice in shipping companies and I was stuck with NSD due to the retailer I bought from. Even scheduling delivery was a headache. They didn't even have the right phone number to contact me at and their call-back numbers never got me to the right person. If I had a choice in carriers I would never have picked NSD. Now I am waiting over 2 weeks to get everything resolved. I honestly don't know how this company is still in business. read more

The service promised was not given. I was supposed you be contacted 24 hours before the delivery of my Mirror Gym and get a four hour window of expected deliver. This did not happen. I got a text 30 minutes prior. With delivery was supposed to come installation. They just left the item on the porch and left. I've been trying for a week to get them come back and install the Mirror all to no avail. I have spent 16 minutes holding on the line to talk to customer service and they just hung up on me. Well our bath tub has been in Indy since July 7 supposed to be delivered the 15th no tub no calls no one responding back no address of the terminal in Indy or I would pick it up myself. I would make a 0 star if I could. Ordered a table from Home Depot and it was supposed to arrive May 26. Then they never showed up. Then they told me June 7....never showed. Then June 21....didn't show up. They show my item as delivered but it was never delivered. Can't get anyone on the phone. Home Depot told me they get lots of complaints about NSD but they have to use them because the area they are delivering to is rural. As far as I am concerned this company must have very poor leadership and bad employees and their tracking systems aren't accurate. Even their robo calls sound shady. I wish I could give 0 stars.. I paid for a threshold delivery, but I come home to a giant couch sitting outside my front door l. When the delivery person called I let him know that my bf was not physically able to come to the door, but that the door was opened and they could just deliver it inside by the door. He says ok that is fine and that they would be there in 20 minutes. I have a camera facing the front door and I never saw him come in so I called him and the company, but no answer from either. I text the delivery driver to ask when he will be delivering my order and he reads and ignores it. So I text him again letting him know that I know he saw my message abs he finally calls me to lmk that he already delivered it. I said that I paid for a threshold delivery and I wouldn't be able to get the couch inside my apartment by myself which I let him know when he called. He goes on to say that I was lying and I never said that when literally 4 other people heard me have this conversation with him and I definitely explained the entire situation to him. I ordered a vanity from home Depot and these guys were supposed to deliver it. It was supposed to be delivered in 2 weeks. It took 3 weeks to get it from Texas to southern Maine. According to the tracking info, the vanity was in a warehouse 1.5 hours from my house but after 3 weeks of sitting there and multiple calls to home Depot I cancelled the order. This company was used by Wayfair for a return pick up. I was told they would contact me within 2 days to schedule pick up and they never called. I called multiple times a day and their automated service is a joke. I was only able to get to a potential agent by selecting the delivery option (mine was a pickup/return. After 16 min on hold I got an automated message I would receive a call back by the next available agent and never received a call - this happened on multiple attempts on different days at different times (within their posted hours). I also tried emailing them using the email found on their website and only received an automated message to check tracking info on their website(which does not allow you to schedule your pick up). After multiple back and forth with Wayfair, who also had trouble connecting with them, Wayfair was able to schedule a pick up. They again told me I would receive a call from this company the night before pick up with a pick up window and wouldn't ya know, still waiting on that call as well! Hopefully my item will actually get picked up tomorrow. read more

Unfortunately, we had the pleasure of dealing with this company twice. First delivery - We paid for the white glove service through Buy Buy Baby for a dresser for our unborn child. The dresser came about 10 days prior than we expected which is about the only good thing I can say. They never called or emailed to set up the delivery. They just showed up. With the white glove service we paid for they were supposed to take it out of the box and bring it inside the house into the room we wanted. They put the dresser on the front porch, never rang the doorbell, and left. Luckily my wife and I work from home and saw that they were making the delivery. My 32 WEEK PREGNANT wife had to run outside to try and flag them down to have them bring the dresser inside but they kept driving away. Little did they know, there is only one way in and one way out of our developmenr, and our house is the first one...so they had to drive by our house on the way out. We had to run out in the middle of the road and stop them to have them move the dresser inside. They took it out of the box on the front porch. My wife and I inspected it and there was no damage, so they took it inside. Once they got it in my sons room we looked at it again and the one delivery driver was standing by the one corner trying to hide the chunk they took out of the corner. Needless to say, we weren't happy, so we had to return that dresser and get another that wasn't damaged. Second delivery - I did get an email the second time to confirm delivery on the day they were planning on showing up. The ONLY option in the email was to confirm delivery. There was no option to deny delivery. We were going to be out of town that day, so I never confirmed. There also was no number to call to tell anyone we'd be out of town. The email said that someone would call 40 mins before they were going to be there, so I figured I could tell them then, so they didn't waste time coming out. Well...they never called...they just showed up, and we weren't there. We have a Ring doorbell, so we were able to talk to them to tell them we were not going to be there, so we had them come back the following day. Enough said...both experiences were flat out pathetic. I was so excited to receive my new exercise bike. The truck from NSD pulled up and I greeted the driver, he retirned the greeting. Then they opened the lift gate and the passenger in the truck - to my wife and My amazement, proceeded to drop my 2000$ freight onto the ground from 6 feet up.In all fairness the driver seemed as shocked as we were and exchanged some spanish with the passenger/assistant.It is still early in the setup process so I cant tell yet what damage may have occurred but I definitely would not recommend this company to deliver anything valuable. read more

NSD sent first text, scheduling delivery for 7/24/2020 between 12PM to 12 AM, about 6 PM message was sent stating we requested rescheduling, which we did not. I waited for delivery all day because it required my presence for delivery. I had hired contractors for the weekend to install the generator. Text rescheduled for 7/27/2020 delivery from 9am to 12 pm, again a no show, contacted NSD at 1pm, was put on hold indefinitely, and finally got a call back at around 4 PM, no solution!! I had ordered a set of mattress/box springs from JCPenney. I did not know they contract out to another company for the delivery. I received an email from R T Freight on Wednesday at 2:25 pm that the package would be delivered on Thursday morning between 8 and 12 noon. Nobody ever called and asked if that time would work for me. I couldn't be there at that time, so I needed to reschedule. There was no telephone number on the email so I tried to find a phone number on the internet and only found one for R T Freight in Virginia. They provided the Knoxville number. I told them when I could be there, but then received another email that they would be delivered from 6:30-10:30 Friday morning. I called again and made sure they knew when I could be there to accept delivery. Delivery was fine, but I was very frustrated that they didn't seem to care if I would be there to accept delivery. Since they have a contract with home depot, they do not need to provide good service. No one at this company cares and Home Depot blames them for everything. This is by far the worst delivery company in regards to customer service. I called 8 times over the span of 5 days, each time on hold for 30 minutes until the call auto disconnects and a recording says they will call you back as sone as an agent is available. I started my calls at 7am when they open, when someone finally returned my call they say they can't get in touch with anyone at the local terminal and some will call from the terminal to schedule pickup. I'm still waiting on that call for 4 days now. If your package is being delivered by them, just cancel the order and demand whoever your purchasing your item from that they do not use NSD to deliver your item. read more

Updating again: the company did respond to my complaint very quickly, and the delivery is scheduled for the next day. While the initial delivery was a mess, at this point I'm honestly not sure it's NSD's fault and looks like it was more Amazon's. I was impressed with the speed with which the company addressed this review/complaint. I was contacted within an hour of posting this, and true to their word they contacted me today to schedule a delivery tomorrow. As long as it comes when promised I'll be quite happy with the way they've fixed the original bad situation. I ordered a bed and frame through Amazon, with Prime shipping, and NSD was the final delivery agency. The scheduled delivery window today was between 3:00pm and 6:00pm. No truck ever showed up. When I tried to contact NSD's customer service number, after 20 minutes on hold (twice) it hangs up on you and says that "we will call you as soon as a representative is available." Hours later, still no available representative. Honestly, if I was using a shipping company for work, and the delivery didn't show up without any call, we'd fire them and not use them again. Why hasn't Amazon read reviews and done the same?? I'm still on hold with an Amazon supervisor, waiting to get some sort of resolution on when my item will be delivered, because apparently they at least can get in touch with someone. The statement from Amazon was that while they can talk to the national NSD office, they can't speak with the local office to schedule a delivery, so I'll have to wait for the local office to follow up with me. Update: a member from the Extra Mile team did contact me, and let me know why my package was a little late. As far as their phone system goes, I was told it's a new system with a high call volume and that's why you can't reach a scheduler. However, should someone be looking at the root cause: why is there a high call volume? I did appreciate the extra mile team person reaching out and trying to give me an explanation, and she did assure me as well that she has sent a note and someone from the local warehouse/office should be in touch tomorrow to reschedule my delivery. Once again, I do really appreciate the speed with which they reached out to attempt to address this complaint, even if we couldn't do anything to solve it tonight. Scheduled delivery for the 20th came and went without a word. Tracking shows the item arrived at the local terminal on the 15th, then magically on the 21st the tracking backdates to show the package was lost on the 16th. If a 3oz package can make it from China to the states unscathed in two weeks, how can a 200lb box get lost going across state lines?! There is either serious mismanagement/routing of packages, or a massive theft issue-- no other carrier has this bad of a reputation handling large items. read more

STAY AWAY from NSD. This company delivered a Nordictrac elliptical to my home on Dec. 5, 2019. The men that delivered my elliptical scratched my wood floor. They didn't pick up the box and they scratched our floor. I told them to lift it, but they didn't. I tried contacting this company at least 4 times via email with no response. I tried calling several times, but they don't answer their phone. You are on hold forever until you have to hang up and you are not able to leave a message. They finally sent an email after 1 month saying they need, pictures, (which I provided) along with three estimates, yes three estimates, along with conversations we had with the delivery men and then they will send it for review. Totally unbelievable! I said that was ridiculous to get 3 estimates and you need to have someone come here and see the floor, determine what needs to be done and fix it. They haven't gotten back to me (no surprise) DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! STAY AWAY! I have also made a complaint to THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! I just spoke to Justin from NSD and he told me because of the timing they will have problems with the insurance company. Really? Ok... I had a better experience than most of the reviews I just read. Still a lot to be desired, but... I think it sounds like I was lucky to receive my Echelon treadmill. I ordered it on 1/9/22 and it was delivered on 1/14/22. The texts came from Sith LLC. They changed the delivery window without telling me, and then there was no pre-arrival phone call. They called when they were parked outside my building. They did not follow the directions I gave them for me to let them in. Somehow building security got involved and they had to be escorted up to my apartment. I still do not know what transpired for that to happen (many large furniture deliveries and NEVER had that issue). The guys were nice enough. They unpacked it, set it up and took the garbage away. But man the communication is iffy at best. There was no where to put or give delivery instructions in advance, which may have helped them out in the long run. And I also tried to call to give delivery instructions (must be buzzed in, etc.) but the phone rang twice and then clicked and hung up. Tried the chat feature and it never would connect. Possibly the worst shipping service I've ever encountered. I stayed home to wait for their pre-scheduled window on the 14th of July. The item did not arrive and they did not answer their phones, email, or online chat. After contacting Amazon they were able to contact NSD and it was rescheduled for the 15th. So I stayed home again for the 15th and again they did not show up during the scheduled window. They still have not answered their email, phones, or online chat bot despite several attempts. Amazon today also indicated that they were unable to contact the carrier. Terrible, terrible service. read more

The email and text notification notifying me of my scheduled delivery window stated Saturday 12-4 PM. I had errands to run and things to do, but we stayed at home and waited all day instead for a delivery that never came. I called NSD customer service and contacted them via chat twice that day, but still no one ever showed up. I was told over the phone that someone would call the next day, but no one ever did. The customer service agents over chat didn't speak English very well and were VERY rude. They called me a liar and generally did not seem to care about my missing delivery. One even tried to end the chat right after I explained the problem without even attempting to find out what happened and to fix the problem. I don't have a problem with non-English speakers, but doesn't it make sense to have employees in a customer service position be able to speak the same language(s) as their customers so that they can better understand the customers' concerns and needs? Not only did the delivery guys come into our home when they weren't supposed to, but they also weren't wearing any masks. June 12th, 2022 - Contacted HomeDepot for item return and NSD tracking record has been created. May 15th, 2022 - made an online purchase at HomeDepot. May 24th, 2022 - item was delivered to a newly constructed home. June 12th, 2022 - item was identified that doesn't fit and return has been requested. June 13th, 2022 - HomeDepot created a pickup request (R5876919) and I did receive an email notification from NSD asking to contact them to schedule return pickup. Called the phone number provided and waited on the phone for 40 minutes without reaching out to customer service, and heard an automated message that I will receive a call back. Never received. Contacted NSD via email - never heard back as of June 15th, 2022. Tried contacting via "Chat" feature on their website - waited for 45 minutes without any customer representative joining a chat. June 15th, 2022 - called HomeDepot customer service they noticed on their system that NSD "attempted" calling me on June 13th, which never happened and is not true. HomeDepot created a request again (R5895545). Pretty much sure nothing will happen after send request has been created, hence asking BBB to assist with resolving the issue having NSD completely ignoring customer service and acting as a scam/fake Business. read more

It is amazing to think how far we've gotten in 2020 in which ordering packages is so simple - and how amazing it is that we can get an exact location as to where our delivery is. Oh wait, whats that? You ordered through NSD. LOL forget about that. This "logistics company" has absolutely no idea what is going on. We were suppose to have a couch shipped this week and their website said that it was "out for delivery". Well three days after it was out for delivery I still don't have my couch. Checked the tracking and it says its in Brooklyn out for delivery.... customer service confirmed it was actually in farmingdale - which is an hour away. I wont even begin to discuss trying to reach them by phone because I am sure if you are reading this review you have already waited on hold for over an hour listening to their heinous hold music. I was finally able to reach them with Amazon being the middle man (they must have some sort of secret number that actually works). The customer service person from NSD said that she would reach out to the terminal that had my package and find out why it wasn't delivered. Wow could this be? Some solid customer service? Just kidding, it turns out the driver that day was just a no show. Just decided not to do the delivery. And that the next time they will be able to bring my package is in a week. So I sit here in my sorrows, dreaming of my couch - will I ever get it? Are the employees at NSD laughing at me whilst hanging out and watching TV from my couch? They contacted me last Friday 10/7 and said they would be here today 10/10/22 between 9-1. no call no show so I called them at 3 and was told the item was out for delivery.
